“Had 2 deliveries so far. Both drivers have been very polite and groceries placed in the kitchen. Food has been very good quality with good use by dates and no bruises on the fruit.”

“Everythng was fine, all products perfect, ordering quite easy, we had a great tour of the delivery van since it was out first shop. I made this purchase as we were home, ill, and it was very welcome. thinking about our health i ordered only organic produce, which i love, but that did make the relatively small shop feel more expensive than 'normal' - but I appreciate that was our choice, and the rpducts were fine. I need to get used to the website and its layout, and i will shop with ocado again, I always thought it was a great concept, i followed its progress with interest, but I still like a personal shop, for contemplation, from waitrose. it is part of my habit. I think in futire it will be a combination of the two methods.”

“I used Ocado twice, even though they have a good selection of products and good customer service, they do not follow basic health and safety rules. On two occasions raw chicken and raw eggs we're put together with ready to eat food not even sealed! They even ignored a note asking not to do this! Never again as seriously failed 2 out of 2”

Oh goodness, we're really sorry to hear you are not happy with the service Malgorzata. We can assure you that we have investigated the heat-sealing process for raw meat and fish products, and have found that it has been extensively developed, improving the safety and resilience of the packaging. We are now confident that it provides an acceptable barrier from other foodstuffs, and therefore we can safely pack these products within the same carrier bag as ready-to-eat products. Should the packaging of any product be punctured or compromised in any way, please contact us so we can investigate the issue. If you have contacted us already regarding the packing of the raw meat and eggs with other items, we can assure you that your feedback and comments will have been passed back to our Warehouse management team. Once again our apologies for any inconvenience or disappointment that we have caused you and we do hope that you do decide to give us another chance.

“Brilliant, takes all the hassle out of parking the car, emptying the boot in the rain and cold and then lugging all the bags in doors. Everything has been fresh with nothing missing so far. All you do is put the shopping where you want it, it's all brought into your kitchen for you. Couldn't be simpler even all in bags marked fridge, freezer etc. Won't be trawling the supermarkets again.”

“First delivery. Large order for specific soft drink for party. Ocado sent 5 bottles of requested drink and substituted unasked 35 bottles of another drink. Not impressed. Lovely helpful van driver got on the case immediately but no stock of desired drink for the moment. Should have been informed.”

“One item damaged called up ocado and got it refunded with no quibble drivers are good there own brand products are well priced and good quality”

“Brilliant service and the delivery drivers are always polite and helpful. The invoice for shopping has food listed in order that the food needs to be used by which is great for meal planning. Shopping is easy to order and has plenty of options for delivery slots to suit us.”

“The only reason not given a very poor was because the delivery men were lovely. My order was canceled the day it was supposed to arrive. Not helpful at all”

“Good website but fruit wasn't very nice. Especially the ripen at home pears. Tasteless even once ripened. Much of the fruit lacked flavour. The fish counter however was excellent.”

“Very positive experience as a new shopper with Ocado. Website ordering process was easy, as was setting up my account, and the range of products is as good as I have had from any other supermarket. Deliveries have all been on time and with warning of any missing items. Returning items has been very simple - just handing them back. Ditto bag recycling. Communication has been well above the standard of other supermarkets I've used - informative and clear. The delivery driver has always been friendly, helpful, and able to answer any questions I have. My only negatives would be that the checkout process could be more streamlined (three pages of offers and deals to click through is, I guess, good for Ocado but less good for me when I do multiple edits of my shopping list) and the same comment as made to every other supermarket - it would be GREAT to be able to put in a regular standing order which repeated automatically every week (or, better, alternating bi-weekly orders or rotating four week cycles of orders!), as opposed to having to do manual re-orders. In general, I am very happy with Ocado's service and will continue to use them as my regular order.”
