“We are trying to close on a home that is owned by open door a complete nightmare. They do not respond to the agent in our area and when they do, they seem to have no knowledge of what they’re doing. Sad. I wouldn’t sell my dog house with them”

“This was the easiest home sale we had. I love that we did not have to stage the house for showings and deal with buyers who have a contingency out outrageous demands. We did the virtual walkthrough in 20 minutes with our advisor and the next day we got our official offer that was more than the initial quote! Once we packed up everything it only took a few minutes to take pictures of the empty house and place our keys in the provided lockbox. I would highly recommend Opendoor for anyone who looks to sell their house with no hassles or worries.”

“When the thought of selling our house became a conversation between my wife and I, two main things we worried about was how long would it take? Also we really wanted to work around people walking through our house to see if they wanted to buy it or not? My wife heard a commercial for open door on the radio and sent me a text that morning to check it out. I did just to see what our preliminary offer would be and after it was very competitive we went ahead and moved forward with the process. Less than a month and a half after that conversation between my wife and I are completely moved out of our house, we have sold our house, and we could not be happier with the process. We didn’t have to deal with a single walk-through and were able to work on our own timeline and move quickly which was a concern of ours if we did it the traditional way. We were very pleased with the process start to finish and everything almost seemed to be too simple where it seemed like there should be more to this process based on everything we had heard. Thank you to open-door for helping us complete the sale of our home.”

“Opendoor was a lifesaver of an experience. I didn’t know what I was going to do as far as selling my house but I knew I needed to do something. I’m January 2021 I was admitted into the hospital and it turned out I had COVID. I was in the hospital from Ianuary 31st until June 3rd and at one point the doctors had given up on my recovery but with prayers and God’s healing I survived but I lost the ability to walk and living in a 2 story house became a daily chore. Anyway, I was told about Opendoor and I did an inquiry and the process went so smoothly. I am very satisfied.”

“The entire process, from the very beginning to the very end, was so incredibly professional and so incredibly organized. We cannot express enough how happy and impressed we were with our experience. We worked with Anthony King, and he was SO very helpful!! ANY/ALL questions we had along the way, Mr King would get back to us within minutes. The OpenDoor Dashboard, where we were able to identify and keep track of what documents were due and when, was a true blessing! From the Purchase Agreement to the Disclosures to the Digital Checkout Photos, everything was so clearly outlined for us to complete and submit in timely fashion. The delivery of the lockbox was another pleasant surprise. The lockbox (with instructions and code) was delivered via UPS, and shipping/delivery updates were provided via email. Lastly, we were beyond pleased with the title company (OS National) assigned to our transaction. They were proactive and thorough each step of the way. We really can’t express enough how pleasant and organized everything AND everyone was.”

“In my 20 years of experience as a realtor, I have never received a service as bad as the one that Opendoor offered me. I don't know if the buyer's representative is a real realtor or just a representative of the company. This person never remembered the transaction or the conversations we had regarding this file. For more than 15 times I had to explain everything from the beginning as if it were the first time that this representative heard of this file, but this representative mixed other cases with mine. In this market, time is very important, although Opendoor took one to two weeks to just answer a question or sign a necessary extension which was created by its own inresponsibility. Although Opendoor pay less commission, the realtors are the one who ends up doing the full job of both parties. Short story, we closed this property after 4 months when it was supposed to close in a single month if Opendoor had paid attention and offered a service as they say they do. This inresponsibility means that the seller has lost a great amount of money, time and, of course, worries. It is sad to represent a buyer and as a realtor to tell him "I do not work with Opendoor"”

“Our contact at Opendoor was responsive and helpful and the process of getting an offer couldn't have been easier. We didn't want to deal with the hassle of open houses, inexperienced buyers acting like they're at a swap meet, or the parade of agents who can sometimes be difficult. The amount of time we needed to close the sale was longer than we'd typically be in escrow, but that was no problem for Opendoor. The instructions were clear, although having sold multiple homes it was a little disorienting not to have some of the typical milestones (appraisal and the like). But it's clear that Opendoor knows what they're doing, they've figured out how to vertically integrate to build a sustainable business model, and they add enough value that even if we could have received a bit more on the sales price, Opendoor's value-add more than made up for it. I would have given them five stars, but the escrow company they used was a nightmare. Without our Opendoor contact, we would have walked away from the sale based on the lack of communication, attention to detail, and professionalism of what is clearly a proptech startup. I assume that will get better with time but if I used Opendoor again I'd insist on a different escrow company, even if it added a bit on cost.”

“From the very beginning it seemed too good to be true. Call me a pessimist if you will, but it was just too easy all the way through. I honestly kept expecting to find the catch. There was none. I suppose I am a generation to old and have jaded views of technology. Here is the good news. It worked. It worked well. I really can’t even find one complaint. The only advice I could offer is to actually talk on the phone to those of my generation who still value personal contact and trust. That being said, it was by far the waist how sale I have ever said. 9.95 out of 10.”
