“Pets Best is awesome and are very clear with what they offer. I would have given 5 stars but the claims process / reviews do take a really long time (4-7 weeks). I would still highly recommend them to anyone looking for pet insurance.”

“I got insurance for my Newfoundland, and let me tell you it’s been worth it! A couple of weeks ago he got diagnosed with B cell lymphoma. Pets best is covering our chemo, prescriptions , tests, oncology visits. Without pets best I would not be able to afford chemo for my baby. The turn around time for reimbursement has been slow, they need to work on that, but I would recommend them to any pet parent.”

“Pets Best is a reliable, dependable pet insurance company. Claims are processed quickly and efficiently with little delay almost all of the time. Representatives on the phone are friendly and effective in responding to issues and questions. I have been a member for my past two dogs and am happy to continue.”

“I did not give a 5 star yet since this is my first year, and the rating can increase after my first year. However, I have had a good experience with them so far. My first claim took a little longer than usual to review but after my other claims were submitted, there was a better turnaround. The coverage I receive for my older is what I need and the customer service I receive is very good. The wait time is small and you are always able to speak with someone live which is what I enjoy.”

“It’s taken a month for my claim to be reviewed. Also I got notice that it was paid but that was four days ago and even though I have direct deposit it hasn’t yet shown up in my account. I’m glad to have it but I can’t say that it’s fast at all.”

“We are happy overall with Pets Best as the Health Insurance carrier for our kids. Our biggest disappointment has been the unusually long length of time (6-8 weeks) to process every claim that we have submitted.”

“Processing claims seems to take longer than the amount of time started in the marketing materials. That being said, Pets Best does email you to let you know about the delay.”

“Pets Best has been wonderful pet insurance. After a few years of being a member, I had to make my first claim. It ended up working out really well and they paid the claim, as the agreement stated. And, it was a fairly quick turn around for reimbursement. It would be an amazing option if they would let you know prior to agreeing to a Vet’s $6000.00 estimated bill, if the bills would be covered/reimbursed or not. That would be my only complaint. You just submit the paid bill and hope for the best, as far as insurance reimbursement goes. That’s a large amount of money to pay out of pocket to a Vet not knowing if the insurance will reimburse it.”

“I’ve been using Pet’s Best for a few years but didn’t have any reason to file claims until recently. Most of them have been processed within a few days but a couple have taken several weeks. It’s easy to submit a claim and I’ve gotten reimbursed as promised.”

“Overall a reasonable pet health care plan. Recent 17.5% price increase for a 3 year old dog is steep. They still struggle to turn around routine claims in a reasonable time. Staffing is likely the issue.”
