“Assuming the payment arrives as promised, I'll say that PB's service is fine, though its premium rise this year was a startling 40% or so. Slightly to soften that sentence I'll add that PB kept a better & more generous account of my deductible than I did. I truly did not expect any direct payment for Nick's latest Sunday 3 a.m. visit to the ER.”

“I’ve only submitted one claim so far. It took about a week for them to review it and it was just approved $50/short of what I paid. I have to wait another 5-7 days for the money to be deposited. This was just for a wellness visit for my puppy. So I have not had to use the accident/illness coverage yet.”

“Initially there was a misinterpretation regarding my claim---I have both an illness and a wellness policy, and the dental cleaning covered by the wellness policy was denied, probably because it was included in an overall statement with illness claims that I knew would not be covered. A quick e-chat and a review of the claim (which wasn't so quick---about 2 weeks) resolved the issue and I was reimbursed the covered amount for the cleaning. That's why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.”

“The claims took longer than I would have liked them to be processed but overall, the submission process was easy. I also like the format of the claim closure summary that was emailed to me. Very clean and easy to read.”

“I have had petsbest ins for many years. I like this company very much..My only issue is the yearly rate increase goes up a substantial amount..Almost to the point of unaffordable.. I don't know how much longer I can afford it..”

“It is nearly impossible to get someone on the phone to actually speak to and their chat service is useless as no one ever responds or it says it's "not available." You do eventually get your money but it takes way too long.”

“Overall, they have really great plans at pretty affordable rates. I just had to use mine for the first time for my little one and they covered her bills just fine but I found out that they only cover 90% when you’re working toward meeting your deductible too rather than just after meeting your $500 deductible. I don’t feel that that was clearly explained when signing up so just a heads up if you choose to sign up. Still better than my having to cover 100% of it but just wish I had been made aware of that when signing up so that I expected it. Still a really great option though.”

“The only problem is the reimbursement took way too long. It was 30 days and turnaround time should be two weeks max. That is why I did not give the five stars.”
