The turnaround time on claims is extremely long. My last claim took two months to process.

Honestly, I think the turn around on getting any claims back is way to long. Especially when it’s over 300.00 and you guys are covering not even 1/2. I understand you guys are short staffed but this has been on going it should not take 39 to 40 days to get a claim back. Not when it takes 2 days to take my monthly payment. Thinking of switching soon if it doesn’t get fixed! Sorry

Make sure you read the fine print when you sign up with this insurance . It can be misleading.

File a claim about a month and still waiting for refund.

I really am not sure. I filed my claims and it seems that when I was deciding what insurance company I should acquire, Pet Best seemed to be the best, However, when I actually see what was covered in terms of what I spent on care, I am not so sure. The explanations really made no sense to me and just stated that I had reached my maximum coverage. Since I have only had the puppy since July and she only had routine monthly check ups primarily for her required shots, I can’t see how I hit my maximum coverage 4 months. She is a healthy dog. I have some thinking to do and I intend to explore and compare different companies now that I have experienced Pe Best.

My dog had swelling in two of her paws, possibly from burs which got infected. The medication was not covered in my policy-this problem not considered "accidental injury".

The wait time for being refunded for a claim is extremely long.

Unfortunately, I have not been satisfied with the time it takes to process claims. I get an email apologizing for the delay but there is never an improvement.

I feel like I need to be very on top of it when it comes to my claims with Pets Best otherwise things have fallen through the cracks. For example, 4 claims in a row that I submitted said that PetsBest needed more info from the vet but couldn't get in contact with the vet... PetsBest didnt even try... I know this because my vet is VERY responsive, they said no one had reached out regarding my dog's claims. If I didnt take look thru each claim line item one by one I wouldn't have caught this and would've just patiently waited for a reimbursement. It shouldn't have to be such a hassle for me, I should just be able to submit my claim and get the reimbursement without all the follow up work in between.

My claims are raking too long to be resolved. The price keeps going up and I can never get anyone on the phone. I will definitely be switching companies this month.

Constant delay of reimbursements, constantly asking for MORE detailed invoices that requires us to ask our vets for, and it literally takes MONTHS for reimbursement. By that time, all that interest builds up and fees are just as expensive as the actual vet visit. Once contract is up, I’ll be switching.

Don't process your claims timely. And then they're incorrectly processed under the wrong part of your policy then takes another 3 months and still not reimbursed.

Make sure you read the fine print. Denied my first claim because it was within the first 14 days of having them. Should have been more upfront about the time it takes to go into affect. I could have pushed my appointment. Very disappointing start.

Although easy to submit a claim...it has been months to get a return on my claims. Even after inquiring with your staff about turn around times or expected retun, no one seems to have an answer.

I purchased the wellness plan assuming it would cover new puppy shots and examinations. I am disappointed I how little it covered. Also when I had my pup spayed I knew there was a limit but it didn’t even pay the pain medication that was prescribed after surgery.

used to be the best pet insurer, back when they were about the only ones to venture into pet insurance. now, years later, every year they decrease coverage, add co payments, add exclusions and if you are with them thru the life of your pet it no longer is worth it due to rate increases ex. going from 800 yr to 1400the next and with caps of lifetime payouts or annual caps. also, they wont pay for annual exams or shots if you are even one day early in vaccinating them, so give up on being able to convenience set appts for multiple pets. in short, all pet insurers do this, knowing that you cant skip to cheaper providers due to exclusions of preexisting conditions and youre stuck. btw, I have 4 pets insured with them, with 3 others that have died. some over 12 yrs going. Im on the last year of coverage for two. The worst bit besides cost is that it takes now over a month for reimbursements. a few weeks to even acknowledge that they received the claim and leaves you pestering the poor vet to resubmit, resubmit. they do this cuz they have cut employees, and to take advantage of you forgetting to follow thru claims.
