The process took over a month and I don't see the reimbursement in my account yet. I selected Pets Best because of the great reviews. So far that has not been my experience.

The processing time and lack of communication throughout the claims process is hardly acceptable. While their prices are fair it is ridiculous that most claims take 2+ months to settle and even more ridiculous that they close claims for lack of documentation without trying to contact the claimant to let them know documentation is missing.

Received emails saying that my claim was approved and will receive a check and next day saying claims were not covered. ???????

They were awesome when my pets were pups now they are 2 & 3 and they want to cover NOTHING!

I have been rather disappointed in my first 6 months with Pets Best very slow turn around on claims. I will determine after a year if its cost effective to continue to use their service

I thought at least something would be covered I thought there was a $150 dental allowance but I must be wrong. I didn't get it She had 2 extractions that were not covered. The monthly premium far surpasses the reimbursement. I am considering canceling. Just paying out of pocket is much cheaper. I didn't expect this. Also it took way to long to process claims

Hi, $150 is for dental cleaning. If your pet had extractions and those were eligible for coverage, they would also be subject to a deductible and copay.

Insurance is meant to help you with the unexpected, broken bones, urinary blockages or cancer. Wellness is not insurance, its a benefit meant to help you offset the cost of what you would be spending whether you have insurance or not, so its not going to pay your full bill for these wellness visits.

The review time for procedures like spay/neuter to get processed is entirely too long. If its a covered procedure and all documents were provided, why does it take over a month to process?

They pay the bill, but it’s going to take a month to reimburse you and once you’ve met your deductible, they will make you jump through hoops to get reimbursed. Two months later and I finally got reimbursed for my last appointment. They needed the entire medical history of my dog. They claimed they weren’t able to get in touch with my 24/7 veterinarian, so I had to ask my vet to forward all of my dogs’ medical records to Pet’s Best. A $300 claim, and they make it so difficult to process. There are definitely better Pet Insurance companies out there, but you’re not going to find one cheaper than pet’s best that will actually pay out. You get what you pay for. If you don’t mind waiting 1-2 months and jumping through hoops to get reimbursed, then you won’t have an issue like I did.
