.After vet provided needed medical records to reopen claim, vet informed me that I needed to speak with Pets Best to reopen claim. That wasn’t true but waited on line for about 30 minutes to speak with a representative anyway.

This pet insurance is joke, not only do they NOT take the claims/customer serious and prioritize. They don’t do their jobs throughly and diligently. They closed the claim the same day they requested information? Now who does that, how about waiting for the vet’s paperwork. Anywho, I’ve price copays for every single itemized charge? What’s that about, normally copays per visit. They need to be investigated and everyone needs to pay attention to their “bills”

With a $250 deductible and monthly charge over $70 and you only pay so much of a charge I think I should cancel Ginger’s policy

Long wait time to get reimbursed (usually over 6 weeks). Also every time you submit a claim they send you a generic reason why it was not accepted so you have to call after EVERY claim submission to see what is missing/needed to process the claim because the generic email is not accurate. For instance, they just failed an invoice I submitted for medication saying in the email I needed to submit the invoice (that’s what I did). So I call, and they say oh no the reason is because you need to submit the tracking information so we know you got the meds. WHY didn’t they just put that in the email to save me the time. They do this with EVERY claim. This also puts off the process further so it takes months to get paid back. You almost want to just give up and be out the money then go back and forth for weeks. Also when you call your on hold for a long time so again it’s very frustrating that you have to call in the first place. Just tell me what needs to be submitted further instead of playing this game. I’m a vet, I can get you whatever information you need, you just need to tell me what you need. I can’t imagine what clients go through.

Right now it’s wildly expensive, not saving me any money. The claims take a really long time to resolve. And I spent 20 min on hold trying to talk to a person. Oh and the chat feature is a scam because there’s no one ever on it.

Insurance didn't cover vaccine nor preventive meds after 95 dollars visit it only covered 25 dollars... not too happy about it. Contemplating canceling

My paperwork was submitted immediately after my dogs appt. The process to be reimbursed took just short of a month. I was given a few emails stating they were working on it. Very slow service

Claims are sometimes quick and often take over 3 weeks so bear that in mind. My major compaint is that despite carrying a $500 deductible they have hiked my rates excessively over the last three years for one dog. First year $70, Second year, $106 now the third year is $160. These type of price gouges should be illegal.

It was easy to sign up and take $730.00 for my pet insurance, but when it cam to paying a small claim, it took about 1 and 1/2 months, with 2 emails saying they received the claim, to you might have to submit some records, to You have to submit more records. I felt like they were dragging their feet as long as they could before saying a check will be issued, which I am waiting for. I also called twice, on hold for over 20 minutes, then I was disconnected after speaking with a rep both times with no success.

Lengthy claim reviews that delay returns with the excuse that the vet’s office hasn’t provided documentation even though the insurance representatives do nothing to follow up. Made mistakes on the claim for the passing of my dog that was inexcusable and denied a claim after months of delayed response citing that very same mistake. The attention to detail is lacking and the compassion is lack luster. Premiums continue to skyrocket even though the service doesn’t change and the pets health remains unchanged. No choice but to stay now because of pre-existing conditions but if I could I would leave.

So far a big disappointment. Takes forever to get final approval/disapproval and always seem to need more info aside from invoice and doctor notes. Just switched recently and am starting to regret it. I’ll give it a little more time but don’t have my hopes up

The delays continue to be consistent. Every single claim I've made has ended up with an email stating "Were sorry for the delay." only for the result to be nearly 1/3 of what I paid for the claim. I'll have to do further research, because the quality of service versus the time it actually takes to get that service is making my head spin.

Bought this for savings and am realizing that it just isn’t something that financially makes sense for me. Besides waiting for any answer on claims it seems to cover very little of what I use and I refuse to add more plans together to equal what I want. 700 a year and finally recovered 100 for wellness check up. I will be calling to cancel both my plans.

Prices are outrageous. I have been with them for over several years and this last increase doubled the cost to $3000 for 1 dog plus $500 yearly deductible for a total of $3500. I have only had minimal claims for medications. No emergencies, no procedures no accidents. The cost outweighs the benefits at this point and I will not be renewing. Not worth it since I pay more in cost than I claim
