I am feeling almost betrayed. I have been paying a LOT of money every month for years. I understand that my first need of your service had a deductible to pay. But, I feel the rest still fell short. Plus, it took a very long time to get a return. When your pet is in emergency need and you are counting on your insurance to help you keep them alive, you need MUCH more and Much more timely coverage for the amount I paid. I was getting ready to put my other young pup on your coverage, but I have found better elsewhere.

My dog has many medical issues andi submit my claims, but since don't issues were there "before" I signed up for your insurance plan, I was not able to claim anything. I spent over $8,000 on my dogs medical issues, and I might have gotten $800 back.

I haven't had the best experience with my claims took longer than expected and also, still waiting, the chat room or over-the-phone experience is also a long wait, maybe hired more staff. Not as happy with it.

The processing time is incredibly slow. I’ve had reimbursements that are over a month long to process.

we have insured our pet with Pets Best for over ten years. Now he is ill and needs this insurance and we ae having extreme difficulty in resolving administrative issues. Communication with Pets Best is difficult and we a becoming really frustrated. No payment has been received either and there seems to be no human available for discussion and problem solving conversation.

Once you submit a claim, it takes 4-6 weeks to be processed. Very sad.

We purchased pet insurance for wellness and for sickness and more of our claims are rejected than accepted. It is extremely frustrating and at this point seems like a waste of money

PetsBest has a formulary called 9.C.2, which is basically used to deny all my claims. My vet does not know this formulary so they prescribe medicines according to what they think is more effective for my dog, but for some absurd reason these medicines are never covered by the 9.C.2 formulary. I cannot use the policy like this and it gives you an easy excuse to deny all my claims. This is unacceptable and I cannot pay a 600$+ per year of premium with another 500$ deductible and then STILL get no coverage from you due to this formulary. I want a refund of my policy OR a way to make my policy more effective which will cover all medicines my vet decides to prescribe, like any other pet insurance would do.

I chose Pets Best because I read they were highly recommended; however, in comparison to my other pet insurance I’ve found Pets Best is very slow to process claims and they’ve held up my payments due to items on the invoice they don’t cover on my policy anyways. I had paid for a hernia repair (pre existing issue not covered) during a spaying and the underwriters kicked it back due to items on invoice not confirmed paid. If they don’t cover that, why do they care if it’s paid? The other items were paid in full and invoice reflected that. After a month I had to wait on hold for 35 minutes of my lunch hour and explain to just reimburse me for what my contract did cover on the invoice. Just a hassle

Their customer service is unhelpful and unable to provide insights into your claims. Additionally the processing time is a forever moving goal post scenario. I am unsure if I will I renew. I feel like their is better out there

PetsBest insurance has been decent. However, they tried to place a claim for my dog’s conjunctivitis under allergies which he’s not covered under. The condition is in one eye and was in no way an allergic reaction. I filled a dispute and forwarded paperwork from my vet. I am going on 2 months now waiting for a response. We have Trupanion for my other dog and wait no more than 3 days for reimbursement. The fact that the average reimbursement time is about 3-4 weeks is unacceptable.

Our plan is very costly but still does not cover office visits or preventive meds (flea and heartworm). We found a better plan for less through USAA and will make the change soon. The vet bills are easy to submit online, so that's a plus. They respond pretty quickly.
