PetsBest denies claims despite having full records and information. You have to call weekly to ensure that the representatives are actually doing their job. The representative readily admitted that she “had dropped the ball” and failed to correctly follow up on the processing of my claim. I had to literally call nearly daily to ensure that they re-processed my claim after they claimed they didn’t have full animal records. (They admitted they screwed up).

WHAT CAN I SAY AFTER BEING A PETS BEST CARRIER FOR ALMOST 10 YEARS AND NOW I SUBMIT CLAIMS FOR A LITTLE MORE THAN $1000 AND MY COVERAGE REIMBURSES ME A LITTLE OVER $100 DOLLARS!!!!! AND I'LL NEVER UNDERSTAND HOW YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY DOES NOT PAY FOR EXAM FOR SICK VISIT ..THE EXAM IS TO FIND OUT WHAT IS WRONG AND ARE OFTEN TREATMENT IS RENDERED AT THE EXAM..I WILL RECONSIDER INSURANCE COMPANY FOR MY NEXT PET.

It took an unreasonable length of time to resolve my claim, and i received conflicting information regarding the delay.

I have been a client for about 8 years. I have two dogs. Premiums have increased dramatically, and now processing time, which had been quite dependable is taking almost a month. But no worries, you take my payment right on time. This is my last year with your company.

I enjoy how easy it is to submit claims, but I am really frustrated by the lack of communication and the length of time it takes to resolve said claims. I have waited months to get certain claims resolved and find out what portion will be covered by my insurance. I understand 5-10 business days...but 2-3 months? I don't think that's acceptable. What's more frustrating is that when I've reached out to ask for more information on those claims, only one out of three or four times have I received any helpful information.

Time to review and reimburse claims has gone from 4-5 days to 10-12 days. Unacceptable.

Difficult to deal with, seems to reject claims arbitrarily and pretend to know more about my dogs than their own vet!

My dog has a preexisting condition and had surgery to fix that. I understand all that entails with insurance. This insurance doesn’t cover any meds. Vet prescribed a sedative for him. Not covered. I got $25 reimbursement for heartguard. Period. Will be shopping for less expensive insurance.

Honestly, I am very dissatisfied with the coverage/reimbursement rate for Rx needs for my pet. I paid for one of the best plans available and many of the claims have been rejected because XYZ Rx are not in their formulary. Also, it seems like the deductible(s) are very high. Considering I have a reasonably healthy dog I feel like I am just throwing money away with this policy. Additionally, it has been taking a very long time for claims to be reviewed and processed. At this point, I don't think I will be renewing my policy with PetsBest. We'll see.

My last claim took 3 weeks to process. That is ridiculous! Also my policy went up from $88 to $160. I had to increase the deductible to get it down to a still whopping $120.

Our dog had to be euthanized recently due to inoperable cancer and the only thing covered was the flea and tick medicine that we paid for before we knew he had to be put to sleep. No part of end of life procedures are covered and for what we pay, that is unacceptable--especially since this is a time of extreme grief and stress for owners. Something, anything, should be included in the policy to cover end of life procedures, no matter the coverage. Extremely disappointed in this to say the least.

18 days to get a simple claim is no excuse. It was only good in the beginning and not happy with the company anymore.

Outrageously expensive and too many exclusions, and this is with a multi dog discount. I'm considering canceling my plan. I'm on social security and this costs more then my insurance. Pets Best wasn't always this way. It's ashame when companies know we take care of our pets like family and are willing to sacrifice for them. There should be a senior discount and better coverage. I hope this will help someone else. Do your research. 🐾🐾💖🐾🐾

It took over a week before they processed my claims then come to find out nothing was reimbursed because I was still in my waiting period.

Currently not very pleased. Seems to have taken a very long time to process claims and now I have to appeal a claim due to Pets Best claiming his development of a "hot Spot" was a pre-existing condition which it obviously is not. Hopefully this will get better.

Claims usually denied, or if appealed, still denied. Pricey with little benefit. Only reason I didn't give it 1 star ... at least they deny quickly!!!

It really does not pay out as much as one thinks when one sign up for it when you compare the cost of the premiums.

The last pet I had covered through Pets Best had better coverage, especially a wellness visit. I will be researching other options as $40 refund out of $200 spent is not what I would consider for coverage. This is not the same company. JLPrins

As previously stated Coverage vs Premium ratio is far away from competitors. Still waiting for the check to reimburse me for the claim. Customers can not deal with lecsensed agents or underwriters when claiming just with customer service reps.
