Pets Best is always on time taking out the premium from my checking account but my claims are constantly delayed for reimbursement.

With a preauthorization all payments should be expedited as the authorization for services have been given. I waited almost 30 days for reimbursement

I have only been with this company for 6 months. The company had great reviews stating prompt payment. I made my first claim and expected prompt payment. Took a month. The vlaim was just a routine vet visit nothing unusual. I emailed company because I tried calling and waited over an hour with noone answering. After I hung up really annoyed because I thought the claim reimbursement time was way over the 10 days they estimated. My response to my email was an auto generated response saying they apologized for the unusually long time its taking. This was approcimatrly two weeks after my claim. About 3 weeks I tried calling again half hour on hold no response. I emailed again got same auto generated reply. I make my payments on time and exoected my reimbursement in thr time frame that was quoted. I realize things get busy but to have no response be unable to reach by phone and my response in email is the same auto generated response to each of my emails is really unacceptable. I guess i need to find a new pet insurance. This was not a big bill less than 300 but i would not want to wait a month for a big expense nor should I hsve to whether a large amount or small. And to be unable to contact this company by phone is again unacceptable. The emails being auto generated same email to each inquiry is alarming.

1. Incredibly slow processing. Don't know if they have no staff or no computers or?????????????? But they are sure fast to take your monthly recurring payment! 2. Expensive 3. They have an incredible ability to find reasons not to pay for annual exams or immunizations, etc. (Watch out if you have your dog's exam or immunization a day or two earlier than a FULL 365 day year. "Can't have two of something in one defined period." And their explanations take a lawyer to interpret. 4. Don't know if any other company is better BUT they certainly can't be worse! Stay away. I won't be back.

Over three weeks to process claim, unacceptable. Premiums are deducted immediately!

I have filed 2 claims with this company. First one took 30++ days to process...totally unacceptable!! My current claim (routine sickness/injury) filed six months after the first claim I am informed of a 25/30 day process timeline. COME ON!!! Hire some help, do something. It's funny when I am billed you get a "DUE DATE" for payment but when you file a claim you get your money "WHENEVER" we get to it. Hope I have to never file a large claim (in the thousands). NOT A HAPPY CAMPER!!!!

I have a 7 pound dog which is mostly corgia. He was examined by our local Vet and he told us that Mike (dog's name) may have knee damage in one leg that might require surgery in the future. He indicated that their was no danger at the time of his examination. I waited until I saw him favoring his left rear leg. This is when I took him to the Hospital for further examination, and it was discovered that he had trouble in both rear legs. In conversation with the surgeon, we agreed that repairs to both legs at the same time would reduce the over all cost and down time. The surgery was done on the 4th October. I have received notice that your company would not approve the bill I submitted, until you had confirmation that this was not a pre-existing condition. This told me that I didn't have an Insurance Company that I could rely on. You have contacted my local vet that does not do surgery and any other vet that is in my area. Seems to me you are saying I am trying to pull a fast one and collect for something I'm not entitled!

I was very disappointed with my last claim that was filed and denied. My pup previously had pancreatitis before pet insurance and I understand that those appointments were not going to be covered. Then my last claim filed for my pup was denied saying that it was due to a preexisting condition, which was not the case because they found a mass that had nothing to do with her preexisting condition. If medical records were truly looked at and went over then my claim wouldn't have been denied. I'm very disappointed with the individuals that go over claims. Poor research in records on their part. I hope this company can improve their search in medical records for my sake and every other animal parent out there!

PetsBest denies claims despite having full records and information. You have to call weekly to ensure that the representatives are actually doing their job. The representative readily admitted that she “had dropped the ball” and failed to correctly follow up on the processing of my claim. I had to literally call nearly daily to ensure that they re-processed my claim after they claimed they didn’t have full animal records. (They admitted they screwed up).

WHAT CAN I SAY AFTER BEING A PETS BEST CARRIER FOR ALMOST 10 YEARS AND NOW I SUBMIT CLAIMS FOR A LITTLE MORE THAN $1000 AND MY COVERAGE REIMBURSES ME A LITTLE OVER $100 DOLLARS!!!!! AND I'LL NEVER UNDERSTAND HOW YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY DOES NOT PAY FOR EXAM FOR SICK VISIT ..THE EXAM IS TO FIND OUT WHAT IS WRONG AND ARE OFTEN TREATMENT IS RENDERED AT THE EXAM..I WILL RECONSIDER INSURANCE COMPANY FOR MY NEXT PET.

I have been a client for about 8 years. I have two dogs. Premiums have increased dramatically, and now processing time, which had been quite dependable is taking almost a month. But no worries, you take my payment right on time. This is my last year with your company.

I enjoy how easy it is to submit claims, but I am really frustrated by the lack of communication and the length of time it takes to resolve said claims. I have waited months to get certain claims resolved and find out what portion will be covered by my insurance. I understand 5-10 business days...but 2-3 months? I don't think that's acceptable. What's more frustrating is that when I've reached out to ask for more information on those claims, only one out of three or four times have I received any helpful information.

Difficult to deal with, seems to reject claims arbitrarily and pretend to know more about my dogs than their own vet!
