After paying $99 per month, we had a claim, which your company covered $9 of a $636 claim. NOT WORTH IT AT ALL.

Got to say that 2 months to process a claim should be unacceptable. Reply from owner is always we are working as fast as we can. There is never any mention of resolution. If CareCredit/Synchrony owns this company, I would think they would have the resources. To me this equates to paying cash for a car, then having the dealer tell you it will be delivered in a couple months. In the meantime, thank you for the use of your cash.

Tries not to cover as much as possible. Slow on claims. Always takes over a month. Really disappointed so far.

I'm disappointed in the length of time it takes for a claim to be processed. The time frame has gone from 7-14 days to 30+. This is a long time for a company that uses the fast processing times as a perk to buy their insurance.

Last wellness claim took over a month to process. Isis the rep was extremely rude and not helpful when I inquired as to why it was taking so long.

They are like many other pet insurance companies, excluding what they deem as pre-existing conditions. This seems to be anything the pet has been seen or treated for by a vet.. The only way to really get good coverage is to get a pet which has no previous record of treatment and purchase insurance right away so they don't exclude a lot of things from re-imbursement/coverage.

They take 33 days to process any claim. If they would revise policy to process a little more timely I'd probably give a 5☆ . Even after 30 days they waited until the 34 day to notify me of claim was completed.

They used to be much faster processing claims. This most recent claim has taken 5 weeks so far and I still have not received check for reimbursement.

it’s always nice to have some reimbursement, but paying for 90% reimbursement and only receiving 50% because i’ve already reached the wellness coverage limit feels like a scam

Processing of claims is now taking WAY to long. I have most recently questioned a claim and dissatisfied with inability of being allowed to hear the actual initial recording of my inquiry made with your representative, OR being provided a transcript of that conversation. Either is a reasonable request when a decision has been made unilaterally by Pets Best with aout providing recourse. Very one-sided and customer unfriendly! Requested call back from a Pets Best Supervisor has been ignored.

My puppy was seen for an initial head to toe check and it was found that he had round worms. The puppy was not at the vet due to illness, he was there for a check-up, so I do not understand why the claim for deworming was not covered under the routine wellness coverage that we had purchased. My reading of the policy is that deworming would be covered under wellness. Not a good first impression for me.

At the beginning, this insurance seemed to be worth the money, but at this time I'm not sure I will continue as both the speed of responding to claims and the coverage seems to have declined. Where claims used to be tended to within the month, this last claim took a month and a half and came back with many gaps. The coverage level for my pet is not the lowest level—I pay more for more services, but don't seem to be seeing them. For example, the particular antibiotic prescribed to my pet is clearly stated as covered in the list of covered medications, but this last claim came back without reimbursement. Not sure what I'm paying for if the claim responses are lagging so much and reimbursing so little.

I was extremely disappointed with the turn around time for my claim. The review took 2 months when there were minimal records. I work in the field and work with several insurance companies and this type of wait was absolutely outrageous. It could have gone faster by reading one word per day of the medical record. I understand a waiting period but this was over the top.

My claim took a very long time to resolve, with little or no communication to explain why. In the end I had to phone to ask what the delay was. A little disappointing.

Have been a customer for 3 yrs. Pets Best used to be efficient but during the last 1 1/2 yrs, customer service has fallen off. Takes more time to reimburse claims ( over 3 weeks on average ) and there was a substantial increase of $22.00 more per month on my monthly premium. To make matters worse, I had to endure a appeal process on 6 claims that took over 60 days to settle. Not really happy with Pets Best any more.

My premium has almost quadrupled in 3 years as has the amount of time I now wait to be reimbursed. Im shopping around for other insurance.
