It’s been taking far to long for pets best to reimburse claims if it wasn’t for pre existing conditions I would switch in a heartbeat do better

Claims take forever to be reviewed. Prices go up and they do not inform you they just charge your card. You Dont received much back after paying a vet bill and thinking insurance will cover a good portion of it.

You are probably the worst company out there, I wouldn’t recommend you to anyone. I was told when I first signed up that wait times would get better, they haven’t. Your app doesn’t work, ever. I was told to delete it and redownload, that works one time. Next time I go to get in, same thing, delete, redownload, etc. useless. My claims are CONSTANTLY messed up, causing me to wait for 20-30 minutes on the phone for a rep to tell me they are taking care of it, they never do. Gotta call again and again and again to fix claims. You have progressively gotten worse as a company and I wouldn’t recommend you to anyone enemy of mine. I am leaving you guys after this term ends.

I filed a first time claim on August 27, 2024. I waited and waited. I finally received a cryptic message, not with an update but stating, if more information was needed, either I would get it or you would and finally I called and waited on hold for a long period. I was then told it took claims, 15-45 days. No where on your site does explain that or why. Now I am waiting to be funded, even though banking information has been provided. You collect payments substantially faster than you fund claims. Service is “bad” and don’t seem to care.

They take far tooo long to process claims and customer service agents are not helpful on the phone at all! They leave their customers in debt for over a month and give no valid reasoning as to why claims are taking over a month to process.

We had this insurance for our cockapoo since she was a few months old. I had no issue with the rising premium as she aged most likely because there were so few claims. Once she reached 10 years old the rates skyrocketed when she needed increased healthcare. The few claims were delayed, then required unreasonable amounts of medical records only to be denied or applied to a deductible Attempting to get through to CS took on average 20-30 minute hold. At 14 years she had to be euthanized due to organ failure I was instructed to pay the remainder annual insurance amount. Not once did Pets Best offer any condolences for the loss of our pet. Not surprisingly they paid her euthanasia package probably because they were now free of claims. Anonymous

Overall, I haven't had to use the insurance often, but like many insurances, there are too many loop holes for them to work through, such as co-pays prior to the deductible and large annual increases. Don't be shady and use straightforward language instead of complicated legal documentation. For the annual increases, there is absolutely no reason that insurance should increase nearly double because of location. Be clear about the reasons why insurance prices are increasing in specific locations. Nothing has doubled in the past year for insurance or vet costs, which means yours shouldn't either. I'll most likely be dropping Pets Best because of the grievances with robbery for what they call insurance

I only receive benefits for my dog that has IVDD. If your pet has any issues that doesn't require frequent vet visits, it's not worth it. This also doesn't cover homeopathic remedies, even though that has been a major benefit for my IVDD pup. The turn around time for payment is also way outside the two weeks (in business days) they promise. I'm locked in with Pets Best since other companies don't cover prexisting conditions, but I do not recommend it to anyone and will not use them for future pets.

I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with Pets Best Health Insurance. When I first started using this insurance, the claims were processed in a timely manner. However, the last few claims I've submitted has taken well over a month for an underwriter to review. In my opinion, this is UNACCEPTABLE. Please revisit your procedures to allow for claims to be completed within a reasonable time.

They took FOREVER processing my claim. I paid $150.00 monthly for my 2 cats, then had a problem getting them to pay. When they finally did, I cancelled my insurance.

Processing time is ridiculous...used to take a day or two now it takes more than a month to process a claim...no problem taking my money and drastically increasing the premiums every year but yet can't process a claim in a timely fashion. And then it takes an additional 7 days to get the reimbursement via direct deposit.

It takes way too long to process claims. 42 days? Healthy paws does 10 days. Plus another 5-7 days for reimbursement? That’s crazy

Terrible customer service, virtually no way to contact them other than a phone call where you sit on hold until giving up and hanging up. The do not provide an email to contact them nor a chat option. In 2024 this is just unfathomable. They clearly do not want to actually deal with their customers. They do not cover anything, $300 vet bill they gave me back $40, thanks. This company will actually cost you more money since the coverage cost for the year was $700 +….. avoid this company at all cost. Total scam.

We signed on with Pets Best, thinking that this would be a nice fallback for both preventative and emergency issues with our golden retriever. This could not be further from the case. They are slow in approving claims. It seems as though everything that is preventative applies to the deductible, and the only amounts that they approve strangely seem to be just about equal to the increase in premium each year. Very, very disappointed with this plan.

This company continues to increase their yearly premiums more significantly than average. They also fail to apply expenses to your deductible and when you call to fix the issue they give you the run around. I do not recommend them.
