I did not realize that ingesting foreign bodies would be considered a repetitive occurrence and keep my dog from being covered for 18 months if she does this again. There is no repetitive occurrence clause with Trupanion but unfortunately now this is seen as a preexisting condition so my dog will not be covered by any insurance for 18 months. I wish I would have read the small print and gone elsewhere so my dog could be covered if needed. Now we are completely stressed out & so regret we signed up with Pets Best.

I’m extremely disappointed and disgusted with this insurance. The payout was completely unacceptable at the price I paid purposely to get a payback on wellness expenses. I’ve still not been paid out and gone. Through hoops for payout on my dog I will not be recommending company to anyone

I’m very disappointed with your pet insurance and have decided to cancel my plan. I’ve been paying a significant amount monthly, including extra for the "Accident & Illness Coverage" and "EssentialWellness" plans, yet the service has been far from satisfactory. My dog has been to the vet three times this year, and only one visit resulted in a partial rebate. Even her wellness visit wasn’t fully covered under the "EssentialWellness" plan, which was surprising and frustrating. The other two visits, which were for illnesses, weren’t covered at all, despite my paying for the "Accident & Illness Coverage" plan. I can’t understand what I’m paying for if basic wellness visits and illness-related care aren’t covered as promised. This insurance feels like a complete waste of money, and I regret signing up for it.

Pets Best does not cover enough for my pets, they take more than the two business weeks to reimburse me, and it's only worth it for one my pets because she has a pre-existing condition so I can't switch. Planning on canceling for the other.

Pemiums were already too high and now they just raised them again (outrageously so). Reimbursements suck. I will be shopping for another pet insurance company.

The prices are insane, and every year, they increase by an exorbitant amount. When my dog needed his tooth pulled, it took over a month to get his claim approved, and they didn’t even cover the entire cost. I was left with a bill over $1,000. I’ll probably be cancelling before my policy renewal in February. They just sent me a notice that my price will increase another $40/mo. Trust me, they’ll send you these “notices” every year. It was unaffordable last year, and it’s more than unaffordable now. Save yourself and your wallet. Get coverage from somewhere else.

BUYERS BEWARE! READ THEIR FB REVIEWS BEFORE PURCHASING!! THIS IS A FRAUDULENT COMPANY! MY PETS WERE COVERED UNDER A GROUP PLAN, UPON ENDING MY EMPLOYMENT, I WAS SENT A $125 BILL. I HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO SUCCESSFULLY USE THE BENEFITS EVEN THOUGH I HAVE PAID OVER 1,000 INTO THE PLAN AND TO GET AN ADDITIONAL AFTER GROUP PLAN ENDED IS UNACCEPTABLE. I SOPE WITH TAMARA (SUPERVISER) WHO WAS CALLOUS IN HER RESPONSE AND WAS OF NO ASSISTANCE. I'M CERTAIN I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS BEEN A VIVTIM OF THIS AND AM OPEN TO WORKING WITH OTHER CONSUMERS ON A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT.

My claim took over 7 weeks to be processed. This was a straightforward claim which should have had a quick turnaround time. My emails went unanswered, the live chat was unavailable 24/7, and the phone agents, when accessible, were not able to give any information not already available on the portal i.e. none

The only reason I am sticking with this plan is because my dog is older and other insurance will not cover her due to pre-existing. However, this plan is absolutely terrible. First of all, they take 45+ days to process claims which is absolutely crazy meanwhile, your balance on the credit card is accruing interests. The way the explanation of benefits is set up is very confusing, I've work in Health Insurance for almost 20 years and for an average person, it is very hard to follow. They take forever to disburse payment. I had a claim processed on 12/4, here is a week later (ACH) still no deposit on my account.

You increased monthly dues 40% and we still have to pay out of pocket for what should be covered by our plan. You make your customers fight for every penny and argue with your customer service reps about the plan details.
