At the start they responded fast and paid quickly. But then things changed, instead of week to process claims it now over a month. Also payment amounts now suddenly are differenr than before. Looking for othr options.

The turn around time on claims is absolutely horrible. I have another pet insurance company for my other dog and the claims process is completely different from Pets Best. I would not recommend if you expect to have claims turned around in a reasonable time

My pet’s Veterinarian prescribed Bravecto flea and tick prevention for my little girl and Pets Best found an excuse not to cover it! Nice huh?

Coverage was as expected. Turn around time on claims was unacceptable. I’m likely to consider other providers with the next dog.

When you call a Vet no information appears on the screen, so he/she has no idea who is calling and a lot of people just dont answer if they don't regignize the incoming phone number !!! Additionally how is our Vet supose to call Pets Best when the hold times are sooooo looooooong. Last correspondence I was on hold over 15 minutes ... ! Making it very difficult for your customers

Totally misleading re: 20% coinsurance applied first, and then the deductible is applied. This is opposite to the normal deductible application process for all health insurance carriers. It is illustrated in the FAQ, but the normal consumer would not check first. For the 80%, $500 deductible plan, it is only a $100 benefit difference, but it is certainly an unnecessary irritant.

Claims take far too long to process and the app is too limited in terms of splitting one receipt into individual claims.

I am reexaming all of my claims for this year. I think that all of them have been mislabeled/mishandled. According to what I see you owe me reimbursement for teeth cleaning, Medications, heartworm exams, fecal parasite exams, yearly vaccinations, illness testing, surgery medications, surgery anesthetics, x-rays, illness treatments by injection

It takes much too long to get a claim paid out. And when there’s a denial, there’s never a really satisfactory answer. I hate to leave Pets Best seeing how I’ve been here for seven years, but customer service is a real big thing for me and, you all are striking out continually. I’m not interested in being contacted. Communication was through email And telephone. As always, your chat option is of no help. However, you are not alone in this regard.

My dogs have been insured by Pets Best for at least 10 years. In the last two years, I have had significant rate hikes in the premium, amounting to $472/month at this time. I am a senior citizen, and Pets Best does not have discounts or lower rates for seniors without taking away services. My dogs are old, and now they have more issues, but we paid premiums when our dogs had no issues. Additionally, Pets Best has delayed our reimbursements as many as six times in the past six months, resulting in a waiting period of 3 months for one particular reimbursement. These delays have happened several times in the past 6 months. If I delayed my premium payment, I’m sure there would be consequences, however I’m supposed to accept a “sorry for the delay” response from them. My dogs are old now, and they have issues. When they were young, our premium payments helped people with older dogs. I think we are paying far too much now, and the delays are not appreciated. I am very disappointed in Pets Best at this time.

Communication with Pets Best is poor. Their claims process is extremely slow and they take their time sending you your money. I would not recommend!

Not happy that they stopped covering “repetitive” claims if they happen in 18 months. I have a young golden retriever. Yes, we’re in the emergency er for accidental ingestion more than twice in 18 months. But that’s really all we have used the insurance for and now they refuse to pay. So my insurance doesn’t cover routine care and now won’t cover emergencies. Premium has skyrocketed in the 2 years I’ve had the insurance. Claims take on average a whole month to be answered. Not happy at all. Would recommend anyone get any other pet insurance. I paid for the year so I am stuck with pets best

Pet insurance cost too much per month and it takes at least a month and a half to get reimbursed even on recuring claims for monthly medicine.

Claims take forever to process, minimum 30-45 days, as they are apparently "short staffed". My dog has the highest coverage for several years, yet I've now been waiting 7 weeks for a $5000 claim reimbursement! Totally unacceptable.
