They waited all day to then call and say they weren't coming. I have no water, and cannot last all weekend for it. If they had told me earlier I would have had a chance to get an alternative person out. Absolutely disgraceful

Took the day off work and waited 4 hrs for Plumbing Force plumber to arrive, 8am-12pm as requested. Plumber didn't show. I received call to reschedule at 11.30, advising it would be 2-6pm that afternoon. Again, no plumber showed. I recieved a call at 5.45 to reschedule for next day, Saturday, 10-2pm. Again, no plumber showed and no call. I called Plumbing Force, was advised Monday would be earliest. I cancelled whilst listening to the standard issue, 'I can only apologise'.

It was a very bad service that we experienced from this company. We have a number of properties which we let out and we have never been so disappointed. We were charged £144 for the engineer to do nothing. We were told that he would be at the property that day between 11am-3pm but he actually did not turn up until the following day at around 5pm. He took the cover off the boiler but he said he did not know what he could do and did not have a manual. The tenant had to look on the internet for him for the manual but he still would not do anything. We were charged £144 for the engineer's call out and he left the property without any heat. It is a total disgrace and I would never recommend this company to anyone I will actually let everyone know how unprofessional they are, they should not be in business to the public.

Waste your time Star 0/5 if could! Booked this company for a repair and waited for them to come out the morning of the next day as the 1hr call out didn't exist. Waited in all morning for them to come to get a call just before 12 saying my appointment had been moved to the afternoon. Waited all afternoon till 4pm then chased up on phone to be told that out appointment had been moved to 6pm. Eventually revived a phone call a 5pm saying that no one was available to come out! Called British Gas and they are now on their way in the next hr, should have called them in fist place not this cowboy company!

The plumber did not arrive until the day after they had initially promised. He then looked at the toilet and promised to do the work one he had the parts. That is the last we heard of him. Inspite of the lack of action, then full amount has been taken out of our bank account.

Unfortunately, despite a quick visit from a competent engineer (at premium prices), and despite the part being in stock a mile away, the company then cancelled 3 times over 2 days when it came to fitting the required part. Not very good management, and smacks of having got the upfront fee, abandoning the customer to a faulty boiler despite being easy to fix! Very very poor management when engineers always have more "urgent" jobs to attend to-reminds me of builders who "start" jobs and then disappear for weeks leaving you hanging on! Nothing like local tradespeople who you know and live nearby-avoid at all costs!!

We are waiting already two days for the emergency (and expensive) 1-3 hour engineer in Southampton. Called more than 5 times, getting very misleading information. I have now 5 people in blankets without shower or heating in the house already two days. They have charged my card £144 and haven't even show up. Now I am looking for help on facebook if someone can come. Landlords - Please beware.

I have previously used plumbing force for boiler service, where they were excellent. I since used them for clog drains where the person came for 15 mins, said it was blocked and & another person would have to visit. Plumbing force later said that I would be charged for an additional call out without explain what work was required. After a complain they said that an engineer would visit between the hours of 9-2pm without charge to provide a quote, but they did not come. They then said they would come between 9-6pm (where I could not be delayed beyond 4:30) and could not keep that appointment neither. After ringing for a 6th time they have offered me a visit for the morning but could not guarantee they would make it. My low score is because they have charged me for the call out but it was not fully explained what the next steps were, even though on the phone they asked the engineer to explain & have not completed their commitment. I hope this is bad luck as opposed to the norm, as their gas visit was great a year ago.

Appointment was booked for 11-2, then postponed until 2-6, then cancelled altogether because the engineer is busy on other jobs. I can re-book but no guarantee of a first job tomorrow. very disappointing in an emergency with no heating or hot water and small children in the house. Not the service that is promised by the website.

After misdiagnosing a simple blocked pipe, and charging over £700 for 3 hours work and a pump that wasn't required (the pump they installed lasted all of 24 hours before it too broke), they have failed to respond to a complaint in writing, asking why one of their engineers seemingly took advantage of a vulnerable woman in a difficult situation. They actually intended to come back the next day to install vents that weren't required and charge even more. We have since had an independent engineer in, who cleared the pipe and replaced the pump for a fraction of the price - the only reason we needed a new pump was because the one they installed was broke. Use at your own risk.

Very poor service, was due to have an engineer come out, cancelled 30 minutes before the end of a 4 hour time slot. Would not recommend.

Turned up, spent 20 mins fiddling about, then told me required qualified electrician to connect electric oven before he could do anything. So then left charging me full price for callout, even though he did nothing and was there for less than half an hour. Arranged for electrician to come straight away but engineer wouldn't wait for even five minutes Called office and they said they're engineer was correct as they don't do duel fuel cookers.

Put this on your fancy website and tell the public the truth. Call made 11am. Details of faulty hot water cylinder supplied. Explained I believe the product to be dangerous and have disconnected the item. We'll be therein 3 hours. Credit card details supplied. Two and a half hours later I phoned again requesting an ETA. Can't do that. Why not? Just can't. Exactly 3 hours after the first call was made I received a call from you. Apology given can't make today. Why not. The engineer is still at an emergency. No other details. Was it an emergency? I doubt it by what followed. Can't you send another engineer? We've only got one. What? One for the size of your company and the fancy website you produce? One in your area. Well why didn't you say that a the time of my initial call followed by taking my credit card details? Well we didn't know he'd be stuck in an emergency. Yes but you knew you only had ONE engineer!!!!!Put me through to someone in management. Mr McCleary answered. Calls repeated to him. Sorry about that. Is that it? Well what else do you want me to say? He actually asked me Well how long do you think a plumber will be stuck in an emergency? I asked to speak to another member of management but was told I'm the only one! His tone was sarcastic and with a couldn't give a damn attitude!!!!. Twenty minutes later a further call received. Do you want to cancel your appointment for tomorrow? I wasn't aware i had made one!!! Well we can visit you tomorrow.Please get off my line I'm trying to contact a professional plumber. All in all a pathetic excuse for a company. The website is littered with lies about same day guaranteed visits. And when complaining is met by a pathetic excuse for management. NEVER WILL I ATTEMPT TO USE TJIS COMPANY AGAIN. EMAIL SENT TO WHICH! MAGA,INE. Unsurprisingly the company isn't listed on checkatrade.com but if and when it does I will quickly repeat my experience.

We had Plumbingforce cancel our appointment twice and despite being were aware of the situation and let us down twice, which was frustrating. They made no effort to arrange for an alternative engineer to visit, which is the least I would expect given the charges and the website stating they deal with emergencies.

APPALLING Service!!!!! Avoid at all cost...... Plumbing Force were advised that the call was an emergency (no heating/no hot water). I was assured that someone would definitely attend the following morning and was also advised that the Plumbingforce engineer would call 30 minutes in advance of arrival. Nobody called - and, unsurprisingly, no one arrived to fix the problem....so still no heating and still no hot water! On calling the company again, was told that the first available slot would be in 3 days time. Emergency Service - ??? DEFINITELY NOT!!!

If I could rate it a 0/5 I would. 3 days taken off work and every time told the engineer was held up on a job and couldnt get to me. Now without a kitchen for Christmas as can't afford to take another day of work. Call staff rude and unhelpful. Worst service I have had.

Have read the reviews here and i,m appaled. You should all write to Watchdog, and your local trading standards, i know there lazy barstewards but keep complaing. Always try to use a credit card because they are able to recover monies from cowboys if you say the workmanship or goods suplied are not of merchantable value. They need a class action on them to stop them trading.

booked a week ago for engineer to connect our gas meter to our mobile home was told between 2 and 6 on tues 13th dec and given price (even took card details).My partner booked day off work and stayed in all day. Was informed late afternoon that engineer running late and wouldnt make it that day and rebooked for next day between 10 and 2. Got phone call that afternoon, same again engineer running late. At 3.30 phoned them to find out what happening as we had no gas and partner now taken 2 days off work, was told they would be there between 2 and 6.My partner waited in then got a call at 5,40 saying couldnt make it yet again running late.We sitting here frozen with no heating and unable to cook.WHAT A COWBOY FIRM STAY WELL CLEAR.

Awful, rude company. Booked an "engineer" to come out to fix the boiler after an initial visit, and no one turned up. The company followed up a full 4 days later, and in the meantime I was left with no hot water. Useless bunch, and an outrageous hourly rate.
