I'm disgusted that such a high profile company, gives a paltry partial refund for an item that was returned because of the lengthy delay in receiving said item from them in the first place. I ended up doing a complete toilet removal at extra expense. I should have had a full refund and the return postage refunded as well. This company's name is deeply burned into my brain 'DON'T USE AGAIN!'.

Hi Russell, I am sorry to hear that you were not happy with the service. Unfortunately you ordered the product during our closed period between Christmas and the New Year, which was detailed on our homepage. Your order was shipped on our first day back and I beleive you received it on the next day. I am sorry that this was not in time for the specific job you had in mind

Hi Anthony, as far as I can see you selected the 2-3 day service and the tracking code shows that your order was placed on the 25th Feb and delivered on the 27th Feb, one day within the specified timeframe. Was this not the case?

I ordered a Toilet Auger on a Friday morning using "Express Delivery" expecting it to be delivered on the Saturday. It later transpired that their "express delivery" didn't apply to weekends (even though there was no mention of this on the website or during the checkout stage). I was told it would be delivered on the Monday (even though that was too late for me & I told them to cancel the order - but was told it had already been despatched.). It did not arrive on Monday, nor Tuesday, nor any day since!! An email to them to complain about their over priced, under performing delivery service resulted in a "partial refund" ! So not only have I NOT got the product, I am also out of pocket financially! I would NOT recommend this company. I am STILL waiting for the rest of MY money.

Hi tracey, I am sorry that you were unhappy with our service. Saturday deliveries are not an option on our site at present and as such are not shown as an option at checkout. Your request to cancel the order that had already been shipped for delivery to you Monday, was actioned and we have been awaiting the return of the goods. You have now been refunded in full for the order

Hi Kieran, I am sorry that the service was a little slow for your order over the Christmas break. We were unfortunately heavily reliant on Citylink for our deliveries I'm afraid and had quite a backup of orders over the Christmas period. We do now have a new carrier fully up and running and normal service is resumed

Do not intend to use Power Tools again. Ordered some Bostik glue as illustrated on their website, but did not receive these pericular items, instead I received a different glue. Got in touch with power Tools, they said that Bostik stoped producing this type I have ordered and they will look in to it....did not hear anymore. Maybe they should update theyr illustration on their web site.

Hi Reinhard, I am sorry to hear that you were not contacted with a final resolution to your situation. It seems that this is the latest version of the product and hence the version you require is no longer available, so we have refunded you in full for the transaction and I have requested that our image is updated

when ordering item i requested and paid for NEXT day delivery however it was 3 days and although i emailed them they did not even get an oppologise !totally unprofessional

Hi Linda, I am sorry that you were unhappy with the service. Unfortunately as you ordered the item after 12 on the Thursday this would not have been shipped out until the Friday and the next working day delivery meant that it was with you on the Monday. This is according to the standard next day delivery service as detailed on the site

I asked the delivery to be made on or after the 26th of August as we were Way for 10 days, on arriving home the dispatch note had been left informing me the loppers had been left at the side entrance to the house, it was not dated. The loppers were not there, I have informed the company and await furtherformation

Hi Michael, yes our prices are indeed considerably reduced from what you would normally pay elsewhere, but they are in no way seconds. If you could send us a picture of the damaged item then we will of course send you a replacement

Good price, and delivered quickly. However, it was delivered when I was not in, and thus was left with my neighbour. No card left to tell me this. Good job I have an honest neighbour who passed the package on to me.

Paid for Next Day delivery - they did not even despatch the items until day 3 - and only then after I had chased them twice by phone!

It seems that the warehouse were a day late in shipping your order and then it was held by the carrier over the weekend, as they only deliver on working days for the next day service. You were refunded for the express delivery charge and I can only apologise for the inconvenience that you have been caused

Poor quality tool, broke within 1st minute if use. Paid for 1-2 day delivery and didn't receive the item for over 73 hours. Called customer service and was advised to post item back to verify damage though I had already emailed photos to call centre. No apology offered for either the defective tool not late delivery

Hi Jill, unfortunately as the order was not placed until after 12 on the Friday it was not processed until the following working day, which would have been Monday. The order was then shipped on a next day service and delivered to you on the Tuesday as expected. I am sorry if this was not clear when you ordered. Hi Gerald, I am very sorry that the carrier appeared to have damaged your order and the delay that occurred due to this. We do unfortunately need to confirm that the order has been lost or damaged before we can send a replacement, as sometimes the delivery is just delayed. As it took a long time to get this confiormation in your case we did just send out a new order for you which I belive you have now received. I can't find any other order you have placed with us in the past i'm afraid, but it there was one that went wrong then please let me know the details and I will do my best to offer a solution for you

The item I ordered was showing as available on their website with a delivery time of 3 to 5 days. However, after waiting the maximum 5 days, nothing was received or heard. A call to them showed "unfortunately we seem to be out of stock and we haven't let you know when we should have". I was told the item would hopefully be back in stock by the end of the week and would be despatched then. The item did eventually arrive 2 weeks after the order date rather than 3 to 5 days as was advertised; not great service!

Let down by City Link couriers (again). City Link failed to deliver my order as I was not available (I did not know in advance what day the order was due to arrive and so couldn't ensure I was in). The written delivery reference was almost illegible and, it turned out, two of the digits were transposed. This meant I couldn't use the web site or automated phone service to resolve. Eventually got through to someone at City Link who could track down the correct delivery reference. Tried to arrange re-delivery to another address for the next day but City Link needed authorisation for this from Power Tools Direct. Tried to contact Power Tools Direct but only got a recorded message that there was some work being undertaken there that meant that the phones couldn't be answered. Followed instructions to e-mail details of the issue. Didn't get a response until after City Link had attempted re-delivery as it couldn't be changed - I wasn't in again (as I knew beforehand). Contacted Power Tools Direct to arrange cancellation of the order as it was required for the Bank Holiday and they couldn't deliver it until middle of the folllowing week - too late for my needs. Power Tools Direct suggested I drive to pick up the parcel as otherwise it would cost them £16 for return to sender. It would have cost me around the same in fuel (never mind the time and inconvenience) to pick it up when I no longer need it and the item cost much less than that anyway. Needless to say, I didn't do that. I am still awaiting a refund. They have told me that they will refund me when they receive the item back. I don't know if or when this will happen.

I was disappointed that, having found this site from a price review one, the price on it was different, and when I got to the checkout the price had increased again (VAT possibly?) Why can't the site show you the fill price up front, including delivery? Sounds like complaints on RyanAir!

We are unfortunately unable to show the delivery price until the delivery postcode is entered as this is part of the criteria for the shipping calculation
