I have enjoyed working with Prep Expert and specifically with my teacher Dr. Shan Patel. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and a great teacher who really helped me by providing great strategies that would help me solve SAT problems in a better way. The classes he gave me were well organized, interesting and were focused on the aspects that really matter when you take SAT test. Dr. Shan always explained not only the correct answers to the exercises, but also provided reasons why some strategy works and thus it was easy to understand my mistakes.

Prep Expert was very helpful to my studies and helped me improve in my SAT practice tests. Something I liked about the course was the way they taught us and how they gave us breaks in between. To answer the question below, I already told my friend that he should join this class since it's very helpful. My instructor's name is Dr. Shaan Patel, and I took the 7-week founder course.

This 7-week founder SAT course was by for the best preparation I ever taken for any test or professional exam. The instructor, Dr. Shaan Patel was extremely amazing at teaching us the different strategies and helping us efficiently and easily answer some of the hardest questions on the PSAT, SAT, and ACT exam. Very helpful strategies like BOSS and PIN (just to name a few) were by far the most helpful during my time in this founder course. With me starting out at a 920 when I took the SAT back in my junior year of high school at Paraclete, with the help of this 7-Week Founder Course, I am now sitting at a 1290, a total increase of 370 POINTS! I was so happy! This score improvement will definitely allow me to get into some of the colleges I am considering. Dr. Patel is nothing short of an incredibly outstanding person. He is super kind, always willing to help us, and definitely knows his stuff regarding the SAT and test taking in general! I learned a lot from him, and when I end up taking the actual SAT in the next couple months, I will definitely refer back to him in my mind and thank him for all the help he’s given me. I truly appreciate your help Dr. Patel! All in all, this founder course was absolutely remarkable. So grateful I took the time, money, and mental space to successfully complete this course. I’ll admit, in the beginning of the course, it was not easy, but overtime, I slowly eased into it, and no doubt, I MOST DEFINITELY enjoyed it to the absolute fullest! If you want to get the best preparation for the SAT and definitely get into your dream college, I would definitely recommend the 7 week SAT founder course at PrepExpert taught by the one and only Dr. Shaan Patel. I greatly appreciate your help Dr. Patel, and I look forward to hopefully meeting you in person sometime! You are a remarkable teacher and I can’t thank you enough! ~ Domenick Shropshire - 12th Grade Student from Paraclete High School 🏫

Thanks to Dr. Shaan Patel’s SAT prep class, I finally broke out of the 1400s and reached the 1500s! He introduced fresh, incredibly helpful strategies that completely changed how I take the test. Despite the large class size, Dr. Patel and his TAs made sure no student was left behind, consistently answering questions and helping the whole class grasp the material. I owe my future SAT success to this course!

I started PrepExpert's 7-week online Founder's Course with a 1050. On my most recent practice test I scored a 1480. That's a 430-point improvement, and I still have the actual SAT ahead of me this Saturday. What I want to say up front is that the course didn't work the way I expected it to. I assumed SAT prep meant relearning math and grammar rules. Dr. Shaan Patel's course spends much less time on that than I thought it would, and a lot more time on how to actually take the test. That turned out to be exactly the thing I was getting wrong. The moment it clicked for me was when I started tracking why I missed questions instead of just which ones. I'd mark each miss as either "I know this, I should have gotten it," "I've seen this but forgot the method," or "I've never seen this type." Then I'd come back weeks later and re-solve them. What I found was that I got 94% of the "I should have gotten it" ones right on the second pass. My problem was almost never that I didn't know the material. It was that I was rushing, misreading what the question actually asked, or burning four minutes on one hard problem and then leaving three blank at the end of the module. That's a completely different problem than not knowing algebra, and it needs a completely different fix. The course gave me the framework to see that. A few things that made the biggest difference: The strategy focus. Dr. Patel teaches specific approaches to question types rather than just content review. Learning to identify the logical relationship between two sentences before I looked at the answer choices fixed my transition questions almost overnight. Same with boxing the question before solving on math so I answer the thing that was actually asked. Module 2 pacing. The adaptive second module is where I was losing most of my points, and I didn't realize it until I looked at my per-question timing. Once I learned to recognize when a problem was going to eat my clock and move on instead of grinding it out, my scores started moving. Building study material out of my own mistakes. I made a set of flashcards where the front was a question I'd missed and the back was what I picked and why it was wrong, in my own words. That deck was worth more than any generic set I could have bought. It's the single thing I'd recommend to anyone else taking the course. Practice test volume with real analysis. Taking the tests was never the hard part. Sitting down afterward and figuring out the pattern behind the misses was, and that's where the score actually came from. I plateaued in the 1200s for a stretch and it was frustrating. What got me through it wasn't more content review, it was getting honest about my own test-taking habits and fixing those specifically. If you're going to do this course, do the error analysis. It's the part people skip and it's the part that works.

I had a really positive experience with Prep Expert, and a big part of that was because of my instructor, Dr. Patel. When I started the course, my practice test score was around a 1420, and by the end, I had improved to a 1540. That was a huge improvement for me, and I definitely felt like the course played a major role in helping me get there. Dr. Patel was one of the best parts of the course. He always explained concepts clearly and made sure we understood not only what the correct answer was, but why it was correct. I also really appreciated that he kept the course content updated with the most recent SAT material and question styles, which made the lessons feel relevant to the test I was actually preparing to take. He kept the class moving at a great pace, so we covered a lot of material without the lessons ever feeling too slow or repetitive. One thing that especially helped me was Dr. Patel’s strategies and tricks for approaching questions. His different tips from boss to pin were incredibly useful and became something I could actually remember and apply when working through practice questions. Having simple strategies like that made some of the harder questions feel much more manageable. What I liked most about Prep Expert was that it went beyond simply reviewing SAT content. I learned specific strategies for approaching questions, eliminating wrong answers, and managing my time. Seeing my practice score improve from a 1420 to a 1540 gave me a lot of confidence that the work I was putting in was actually paying off. Overall, I would definitely recommend Prep Expert, especially with an instructor like Dr. Patel who keeps the material current, explains things well, and gives you strategies you can actually use on test day.

This 7-week founder's course was the best SAT course that I have taken so far. Not only did I get really insightful and easily applicable tips about Desmos and all things SAT, unlike other courses I have taken, but I also got important life advice and mentorship inspiring me to take the challenge of temporarily deleting social media and decreasing screen time. Moreover, Dr. Shaan Patel is amazingly inspiring and is an incredible teacher; he is kind, patient, and he puts so much effort into helping his students. I initially thought studying for the SAT was super daunting, but Dr. Patel is extremely understanding and understands the perspective of a student. Every time I attend this class, I feel so motivated to not only study, but put my fullest effort into improving myself as a person. I have learned so so much about how to analyze reading passages, in particular, which is my least favorite part about the SAT because it is so confusing. However, through this course, completing those and other SAT questions is only a matter of trusting myself and the plentiful system/tips/rules I learned through this extremely helpful course.

My instructor is Dr. Shaan Patel. My score increased 200 points from this course. This course taught me some very useful desmos strategies that I hope to use in my upcoming SAT. These strategies will help me save time on my SAT which is very helpful. This class was extremely interactive so I was able to understand and enjoy every moment of it. This course also provided special live tutoring sessions in which I was able to ask personalized questions. Our lessons on the strategy BOSS was by far the most useful because it can help students on most of the questions in the English session. We talked about it a lot which helped reiterate its importance. This course also provides special strategy’s like “fake interest” and “glue your pencil to the scratch paper”.

Dr Shaan Patel has been IMMENSELY helpful in preparing me for the SAT! At the beginning of the course, my practice scores were in the low 1200s, and I could barely focus for the full time. By my last test, I was hitting high 1400s, and didn’t feel exhausted after sitting at a computer for over 2 hours. Not only did he make a huge stress inducer for me seem manageable and almost easy, he made a 3 hour class fun at times! I rarely felt bored, which surprised me a lot. I feel so proud of myself for being able to improve my score so drastically, and grateful to Dr Patel for making me feel so.

I enrolled in the 7-Week Founders Course with Dr. Shaan Patel, and I couldn't have made a better choice to improve my SAT score! My teacher was Dr. Shaan Patel himself, and I have to credit him for all my success on this test. With a class of over 700 kids, he was still able to go through questions smoothly while clearing all doubts, which is truly incredible. Additionally, my personal favorite technique was how Dr. Patel encouraged us to stay off screens and join him in a 7-week no-social media challenge. Not only was it great practice, but he did it right along with us, which honestly encouraged me so much more to keep going. Lastly, he always takes extra time to do practice problems with us after reviewing the course material for the day, which was so helpful. My score improved on practice tests by almost 200 points, and BOSS—which my tutor emphasized so much—may be one of the main reasons for it! If you are thinking of taking a class, don't wait!

Taking Dr. Shaan Patel’s 7-Week Founder SAT Course through Prep Expert completely changed the way I approached the SAT. I saw a significant improvement in my score and gained much more confidence going into the August SAT. My favorite strategy was learning to recognize “Kiss of Death” phrases, which helped me quickly eliminate trap answers and approach difficult questions more confidently. By the time of the August SAT, I felt prepared and confident in my abilities. I’m extremely grateful to Dr. Patel and Prep Expert for helping me improve my score and completely change my mindset toward the SAT.

The 7-Week Founders SAT course was lifechanging! Dr. Shaan Patel was an amazing instructor. The way he explained the 100 PrepExpert SAT Strategies was very engaging, and I was able to sit through 3-hour sessions without ever feeling bored or tired. Understanding concepts no longer felt like a hurdle with the hands-on lesson plans that PrepExpert and Dr. Shaan Patel prepared. Strategies like BOSS, PIN, faking interest, and Desmos Sliders helped me propel greatly during my SAT growth journey. My first practice test I did with the program on the website, I got a 1330. After going through the course, my highest score was a 1500. I'm very happy with the course and I highly recommend it to any student or parent trying to get into SAT prep.

Honestly, Dr. Shaan Patel’s 7-Week Founder Course was one of the best decisions I made for the SAT. I went into the course hoping to improve my score, but I definitely didn’t expect to see a 300-point improvement. The biggest difference for me was Reading and Writing. The BOSS strategy made those questions so much easier to understand. Instead of staring at a passage and thinking aimlessly, I actually had a strategy to follow. It made the questions feel way less intimidating and helped me become much more confident. Math was also really helpful, especially learning PIN and TAC. Once I understood when to use them, some of the questions that used to take forever became much quicker. It was honestly nice realizing that I didn’t have to make every SAT math problem harder than it needed to be. Another thing I really liked was how much Dr. Patel actually cared about the students. Even though the course was on Zoom, it never felt like you were just another person sitting behind a screen. He was always willing to explain things again, answer questions, and make sure everyone understood what was going on. You could tell he genuinely wanted everyone to improve. And the results definitely speak for themselves. I ended up improving my SAT score by 300 points, with a huge part of that improvement coming from Reading and Writing. The strategies gave me a completely different way of approaching the test and made me much more confident going into it. Overall, I’d definitely recommend the Founder Course. The strategies work, the classes are actually engaging, and Dr. Patel genuinely cares about helping his students. Plus, if someone had told me I’d improve by 300 points before I started, I probably wouldn’t have believed them.

Prepexpert Review with Dr. Shaan Patel I recently used Prepexpert, and I truly believe it made a difference in how confident I feel heading into my real test. This was my first time using a program like this, and going in I didn’t fully know what to expect. From the start, it felt structured, clear, and supportive—especially with my teacher, Dr. Shaan Patel. Dr. Shaan Patel helped me understand the material in a way that was much easier to apply instead of just memorizing. I learned how to approach questions more strategically, how to avoid common mistakes, and how to stay focused during different types of problems. As someone who was learning how to test properly for the first time, that guidance was invaluable. One of the biggest highlights for me was the score improvement. My score went from 1090 to 1260. That jump honestly surprised me, and it showed me that the work I was putting in was paying off. Even though this didn’t bring me to a perfect score, I don’t see it as “not enough”—because the progress was real, and it proved I can improve through consistent practice and the right methods. Even though boosting my score wasn’t the only goal, it was still amazing to see results. More importantly, I feel like I learned a lot—things I know will carry over into the real exam. I also feel more prepared and less overwhelmed than I did before Prepexpert. After everything I went through, I genuinely trust in my ability. When I take the actual test, I have no doubt I can score in the 95-99th percentile. Prepexpert and Dr. Shaan Patel didn’t just help me do better—they helped me believe I can do better. If you’re looking for a program that builds real understanding and confidence, I highly recommend Prepexpert.

I took the 7-week founders course taught by Dr. Shaan Patel. Overall throughout this course, I have improved over +200 points on my SAT and have learned many valuable lessons. What I loved most about the course was that Dr. Patel did not only help us learn about different techniques we could use to improve our skills in math, reading, and writing, but also general life strategies as well that I can carry on into the real world. His explanations and walkthroughs of different strategies were super helpful for a new student like me who has just recently began their SAT journey. Although SAT studying is boring, Dr. Patel made it as fun as possible while helping me as well as many other students improve their SAT skills. I would 100% recommend the course to others as it will definetly benefit their SAT learning and skills. Thanks Dr. Patel for all the help!

I went into Prep Expert's 7-week program hoping for some improvement, but going from a 1440 to a 1550 exceeded what I expected. What made the difference wasn't just more practice, it was that every strategy they taught had a clear purpose and was easy to apply under actual test conditions. On the English side, using scratch paper even during the reading passages turned out to be surprisingly effective. It kept me actively engaged with the text instead of skimming and rereading, which cut down on careless errors. The BOSS method (Build Your Own Sample Solution), where you form your own answer before looking at the choices, was probably the most useful strategy overall. It kept me from getting pulled in by answer choices that sound plausible but are subtly wrong. I also picked up a technique for ignoring prepositional phrases when a sentence gets overly complex, which made it much easier to isolate the actual grammatical issue instead of getting lost in the wording. Even something like intentionally engaging with passages I'd normally find dull made a real difference in focus and comprehension. The math strategies had an even bigger impact on my score. Plugging in numbers instead of solving problems algebraically saved valuable time on questions that would otherwise have taken far too long. That said, the most significant improvement came from learning how to use the Desmos calculator strategically rather than just as a basic tool. Once I understood how to apply it properly, my math score climbed to near perfect. Seven weeks isn't a lot of time, but the strategies were specific enough, and practical enough, that the improvement felt like a direct result of the program rather than luck. If you're serious about raising your SAT score, I'd highly recommend it.

Dr. Shaan Patel was my instructor. First, I was able to improve my score by 300 points. When I first started this course, I was scoring about 1100 on every attempt. Now, I can consistently score high 1300's and low 1400's. This great point increase made this course well worth it. My favorite tip that we did in this course was writing BOSS solutions. When I first started I would never use scratch paper so I would end up getting confused every single time I read the answer choices because I thought that all of them were right. Now, I right BOSS solutions and end up rarely debating answer choices getting them right much more and rapidly then before. For suggestions that I would give for next time are instead of splitting english and math for two different days spend half the class each day doing both so that we do not end up burning out in one category. Other than that, I felt that the course was solid and helped me learn many strategies. For Math, learning the numerous desmos tricks were unbeliebaly helpful. Lastly, the last tip that helped me alot was reading with interest as it helped me pay more attention and the kiss of death. Both of those helped me to instantly get questions correct and save minutes increasing my score greatly.
