Purplebricks is the biggest SCAM!! a seller can fall for. Here is what you will go through. 1st you will pay them around $1500 in fees for the listing, then they will send you a salesperson who for some reason needs to use your bathroom every time he shows up. Once the pictures have been taken, he will advise you on a price point for your house. After this, the games begin, he will then proceed to let you know that, if you would like to attract more customers, we recommend you put a commission for REALTORS so they can be motivated to sell your house. What is that commission recommendation according to them? well around a minimum of 2%. Then they proceed to offer you, paperwork fees if you decide for them to handle your offers. Here is the Caviar, during the hot market you can pull this off selling your house privately using their useless website, as a matter of fact my pigeon can sell a house during the hot market. However things get complicated if you live outside of the Toronto area, simply because their listings belong to the Toronto Realtor Board. So basically if you want to sell you house outside of Toronto, you are screwed using their site. On top of that, you need to pay commission to attract Realtors. So what exactly does purprick do besides rip you off. Nothing! DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM! THIS COMPANY IS A BIG LIE.

Truly appalling. Both PB and the seller lied repeatedly about the property at 61 Newtown and wasted 5 months of my time

We tried to arrange a viewing, confirmed via the app and then cancelled at the last minute. They claimed they had accepted an offer but hadn’t taken it off the market. We are FTB with nothing to sell. Or request was declined and I was told that if the situation changed we would be notified. The sale fell through some 6 months later... did they get in touch? No. We didn’t hear anything until I spotted the house was being advertised again. The woman on the phone was incredibly rude. Hopefully the local agent will be better but having worked in housing for 15 years I am appalled by the service so far.

Paul Fenna, utter muppet!!! Absolute cowboys. Deceitful advertising. I only found out the true property status once I had already engaged a solicitor. They lied about it being freehold, it wasn't. They lied about the garage being directly behind the property, it wasn't (100 metres away). They lied about having a power of attorney in place, it wasn't. Avoid these idiots like the plague.

Purple Bricks totally misled me with regards to the service they offer and their fee/ charging structure. The ONLY thing they are good at is harassing you for money. Apart from that simply by far the worst experience I have ever had from an Estate Agent. They are a law unto themselves. Treat them like the plague they are.

Under absolutely NO circumstances should you have any dealings with this Company. They misrepresented their fees and charges, lied about their service and are totally inept and incompetent. The ONLY thing they are any good at is harrassing you for their fees even though they didn’t manage to find one single genuine interested viewer. Useless... AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

0 stars Ignored situation, charge fees even if house doesn't sell, or repossessed. I had a very small amount of time to sell, took 6 weeks to get on market. Never sold. Advised having financial difficulties, which they ignore, ignored my emails and phone calls. Now having to deal with debt agencies, in an already stressful time. In times of such uncertainty, Coronavirus no work, they do this. No customer consideration at all. So if your house sells or not they won't care, as you pay either way!! DO NOT USE!!

Shocking service Every appointment we have to chase up! Have switched from using agent to do viewings our self 90% of booked viewings cancel with no explanation or communication which has led me to believe they book fake bookings! Have had to use a high street chain now to try and work with a respected professional estate agent! These people have no shame and no respect for people! Disgusting to treat house sellers this way!

Didn't use urple bricks directly although they represented someone lower down in the chain. Absolute nightmare from start to finish. Appalling communication and blatant lies from start to finish. Check if they are in your chain and proceed with caution.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. IGNORE ALL GOOD REVIEWS, They will have a local agent visit your property and sell you the dream. Let me emphasise the word "SELL". The service after you sign up with PurpleBricks is non existent. They have no incentive to sell your property, THEY GET PAID WHETHER THEY SELL OR NOT. You will be doing all the chasing and work yourself even if you agree for PurpleBricks to manage viewings. Traditional agents may be more expensive, but they provide better service. If you go with PurpleBricks you'll get such a poor service and eventually instruct a local estate agent to sell your property, paying double. PurpleBricks will still want their money. I used PurpleBricks for two months of bad service and they still want their full fee. My complaints were met with "they were not there, so can't comment". They have not accepted responsibility. You have to constantly look at the app for viewings as they will not contact you at all. Their app conveniently has technical issues all the time. STICK WITH TRADITIONAL ESTATE AGENT. Pay more but you'll get better results

paid upfront fee, was on the market with them for 3 months and had 3 viewings. not easy to contact and just didnt seem to be interested once they were paid. They had our fee so sell or not they have been paid. Went with a real estate agent and had almost a dozen viewings within the same period, the incentive being no sale no pay with a real estate agent. would not recommend purple bricks to my worst enemy.

had let out 3 properties with Purple bricks and a tenant had fallen in to the arrears for which purple bricks served a section 8 notice in August 2017 to evict the tenant for falling behind. This was never executed by purple bricks and during the same time we had begun receiving bank statements with purple bricks using the exact same property concerned with the section 8 notice as having paid the rent. However they had used the property concerned for all rents coming in and therefore impossible to determine which rent is for which property. Leaving me confused and unable to determine which rent relates to which property as I am 62 years of age and expected my agent to be more diligent. It was only when realised I am at risk of loosing my property because I was nt able to cover costs of mortgage that I examined what is going wrong and realised that there was only two rents being paid and the third payment was missing. I contacted the agent who categorically denied this and accused me of collecting cash in hand for which I was thereafter passed around for a week from person to person before they investigated to establish which tenant is not paying. It turned out that the very property they had served section 8 for in August 2017 and was also being used as a reference for rent paid on bank statements was living for the last 18 months rent free. It adds insult to injury knowing purple bricks who were fully letting and managing the property had failed to even check the property as it was illegally sublet when we finally went to check there were multiple people living they even provided us a tenancy agreement which is on record. Therefore bailiffs were instructed and the tenants evicted. Purple bricks have wiped there hands of claiming it was a software error by the company and the contract is soley between the landlord and tenant.

Absolutely terrible. Our tenant didn't pay the last month's rent and left the house dirty. Purple bricks agreed we should get the entire deposit back. Four months later I spoke to our Ex- tenant who informed me that she had agreed that we get the entire deposit months ago. We are still waiting for Our money, it's been five months! All calls are ignored, all emails ignored even wrote to chief executive and yes also ignored. Next will be a lawyer. Do not go with Purple bricks

Extremely poor communication & customer service. I cannot express just how poor Purple Bricks are as property management agents. If it were possible I would give them no stars. All seemed well when we viewed the house and they seemed quick to respond and communicate. As such we got through the application and tenancy agreement process relatively painlessly. However, as soon as we signed our lease they became almost impossible to get hold of. Emails went unanswered. We tried phoning on numerous occasions and were consistently told that the person we needed was unavailable and would get back in touch. They never did. We went through several account handlers as people left the company. As such we could never get a response to an issue. We had a guttering problem, causing the neighbours to complain and we did not manage to get a response from Purple Bricks on this issue in almost 2 years. As we had no direct contact with the landlord, issue resolution was, therefore, non-existent. The only communication came when the landlord wanted to speak to us via them. We were asked by the landlord (via PurpleBricks) if we would consider leaving early so he could sell the property. We accepted this and moved out around 2 weeks before the original scheduled end of tenancy. It was agreed that for this we would not be required to pay for the remaining term. Our account handler at Purple Bricks failed to report this to the accounts department and so we were served with a rent arrears notice. When we explained the situation to the person from accounts we were told there was no record of the agreement on their system. Our account handler finally responded saying that he had forgotten to report the change. When we ended our tenancy of the property it then took them over three weeks to contact us regarding our deposit. We are still trying to sort this out, well over a month later, but typically we are not able to get any response. With a baby on the way this is causing stress we really don't need trying to get money that we really do.

Shocking !, potential purchaser, failed to answer calls, failed to organise viewings and then the offer was rejected. Complete waste of time and would avoid at all cost, apparently lots of staff left !

Avoid purplebricks! They will value your property at an unreasonable high price and the only advice when it does not sell is that you should lower the asking price. They do not have any accountability as they will get paid either way.
