Today I am paying over£1500 to Purple Bricks!!! For what absolutely nothing!!!! No sale so what was the point, they get their money sale or no sale. They have no interest after you sign the arrangement why would they? If I can save one person from wasting time and money then this review was worth writing. DON’T SIGN ANYTHING WITH PURPLE BRICKS

Appalling service. Called to arrange a rental evaluation and thought I was booked in for the Thursday 16 Jan at 10.00am. I received a call a few hours later from a snooty lady to confirm my booking for Tuesday 21 Jan at 10.30am. It then transpired that this was for a sales evaluation. I was expecting PB to call me to rearrange a rental evalation but no call so I called them to find out what happened and to book a rental evaluation. I was given no explanation to what went wrong and was told they would have to get back to me with available times and dates... Still waiting. Having now read other reviews (not on the PB) website I will definitely not be using PB.

I have used Purplebricks to manage letting my property for 2 years now. The first let was hampered by incorrect information given to me on the tenants that caused a great deal more trouble than was necessary. All settled down, then the real fun started when the original tenants gave notice. The advert went out before I had seen it. The wrong amount was on the advert. This took ages to sort The original tenants contract ran until Christmas but they wanted to move out before that. They were informed that they were responisible for the rent until the new tenants moved in. In the event they moved out in November two weeks before the new tenants moved in. For some reason the accounts department believed that because thwy moved out in early November they only had to pay rent to then and sent requests to me to repay money. I contactedmy letting contacts on numerous occasions but to no avail. I then started receiving account statements that made no sense at all. I do my own company accounts but I could not make head or tail of them. At one point for a whole week the letting department was on answer phone with the message 'that we will endeveour to return your call' Needless to say they did not. I have not received any rent for November yet. The final straw is that I sent in a complaint to the email address given by my letting contact on 20th December. It is now the 19th January and I have not had an acknowledgement or any contact at all. If it was possible to give negative stars I would. If there is the smallest issue all falls to pieces. None of the departments talk to each other. If I could leave them I would but I have to pay. Once the year is up I am getting away from them as fast as I can. I would never advise anyone to use Purplebricks for letting. There are properly run organisations out there

Shocking company. My landlord used this company to find a tenant for this house which is me and not to use any other service.last October I got a letter off my energy supply saying I've changed energy suppliers which I didn't. Turned out that purple bricks had changed this behind our back. I tried to contact them what was going on and they didn't speak to me. So because of this I had to pay a cancellation fee from edf due to me leaving because off purple bricks mistake. Worst off all they knew it was a mistake but wont refund me for this. I will never use this company again.

Not capable of making the sale so had to enlist a local and competent agent to do the job for them. Cost us twice in fees. Viewings were carried out by monosyllabic agents with no interest ins selling the property as there is no incentive. If your want to sell your property, go with an estate agent and not Purple Bricks. Waste of time and a HUGE WASTE OF MONEY

It is not advisable to pay someone before the job is done. What’s the incentive for them to act? Nothing is the answer. Total fraud. Borderline scam.

If you have money to throw away and want to pay someone to NOT sell your house...... then PURPLE BRICKS is the one for you. We thought that as all the Estate Agents put the adverts on Rightmove and we assumed most people looking to buy look on Rightmove then there wouldn’t be much to choose between them. How wrong we were. We were told when they first came to value that if they didn’t sell it there was no fee. Our cottage was up for sale with them for months and we DID NOT HAVE A SINGLE VIEWING...........NOT ONE !! So we decided to try another agent. We moved to Bridgefords. Within a week we had several viewings and an offer. After about 6 weeks in the offer fell through due the fact that the purchasers got a job offer out of the area and it was too far for them to commute. Within another couple of weeks more viewings and another offer which is nearly at completion. This swiftness by Bridgefords not only means that we have sold our cottage but the bungalow we had previously been buying was still available for us. Now PURPLE BRICKS are demanding nearly £1000 for NOT SELLING our cottage. We have tried to compromise with them but they are blinded by sheer greed.

So I am using their fully managed letting service.Which meant to be landlord should not spend any time etc. Awful service. They give key to the tenant without checking the tenant paid deposit and advance and top of that tenant did not even signed the contract. Based on what they gave my key to the tenant only God knows. Viewing agents and the managing team blaming each other doesn’t corresponding them self. I literally chased them to know exactly what happening no communication from them what’s happening. No idea tenant already moved in to the property as well purple bricks doesn’t have idea . Very frustrating I have no trust with them literally not even worth 1star.

AVOID DO NOT USE! ust paid my £1200 to purple bricks shaking with anger....i sold my home through traditional agents in the end as everyone interested through purple bricks were never vetted or checked to see if they was in a postition to sell.most of my viewings were people wanting to take selfies in the bedroom ! I met a rep once at the begining and thats it. I tried to make a complaint and even the woman on the phone said like most i wont get anywhere with it and the longer it gets drawn out the debt goes to a recovery service which they cant stop. Modern day theives.

Would have given 0 stars if I could. Awful service from start to finish of our sale. Rubbish photography, so took photos myself. No input from PBs at all. Shocking and will never ever use again.

Misleading advertising. Not just one fixed fee additional charges upon completion either direct to PBs or to the conveyancing company if you pay later. I checked out 8 post codes through Rightmove and zoopla houses sold near me and PBs sold no houses in last two years, they are the worse performing. Service very poor. Took it to the TPOS and they have not fully reviewed as with others I note usually only award a discount. I am also taking it to Trading Standards for breach of consumer rights, misleading advertising and a sales process designed to waive your right to a cooling off period. Warning go to a local high street branch.

Misleading sales process. It is not just one fixed fee. Small print shows extra charges upon completion of sale. Service is terrible online calendar and message system very inefficient. Refer the 'debt' to a separate loan company, without telling you. Trust Pilot being reviewed by WIRED as data skewed. All you have to do is check on Rightmove and Zoopla houses actually sold in your area for last two years or so, and scroll down to see who sold them. In my area they sold no houses. So not the leading company! They just want their money guaranteed up front or deferred (with extra commissions from the conveyancer) and then they dont have to do anything. And they don't. So Don't just check Trust Pilot it just leaves out all the negative reviews.

Kept fully updated, the agent was honest, gave good feedback about the state of the property and knew the local housing market. The agent kept in touch even when nothing was happening. The process was simple and very un stressful. Thank you for your professionalism

No stars - please read the reviews below. Never use Purplebricks The service is appalling. I also had to involve ombudsman - unfortunately complaint was not upheld. PB take no responsibility for their shortcomings - they are patronising and chauvinistic. Communication is disjointed - make sure all communication is in writing so that you have an accurate record . Use at your peril.

Great first time presentation says all the things right and initially (1st 4 weeks) very good communication. Then it all stopped and promises of continually review your situation on a weekly basis with my team etc etc it never ever happened. Even to point of seeing the Purple Bricks guy across the room at an event and he clearly knew who we were but deliberately avoided my wife and I. I would say if you have a property which will basically have sold itself anyway these folk may be right for you. But as we found with one that needed a bit more effort then you are wasting your money and hopes going with likes of Purple Bricks - this even with them being a lower sale charge. Now we just were wanting to view a rental property with Purple Bricks - a different agent but similar area and OMG here we go again !! No reply even after numerous messages left and still no nearer knowing if we will view this property. I wonder if the rental owner knows what they have given their business to ? Final interesting point and never qualifies it with any viewer but after months we decided to place our property on the market with a "traditional estate agent" and this in tandem with Purple Bricks. Interesting point is both adverts listed beside one another on the likes of Rightmove so viewers ha da choice of who to view through and in 11 instances each viewer chose to make their appointment via the traditional agent. WHY - I do not have that answer but really interesting and extremely important fact to consider.

Absolutely disgusting service put offer in on property there was another bidder at the time PB advised they would ring me the next day i.e. to see if the other buyer had made a higher bid and to give me the option to rebid. Next day no phone call when telephoned agent in charge of sale voicemail saying on holiday then get message on site saying bid rejected seller wanted to proceed straight way which I was in a position to do so as a buyer but I wasn't afforded that option, they gave it to the other bid which I found out later was lower than my bid, also message on site the same day was sent from the actual agent who was supposed be on holiday. Telephoning waste of time no one calls you back. Very unprofessional company, talk about a stitch up stay away from this company con men

Unfortunately cannot provide 0 stars. We had the worst rental experience with the letting agent (Tyrone) who would think only about his TrustPilot review and the whole issues we had. They respond once a week even though now it has been at least two weeks that they don't respond. They wouldn't provide the landlord details and won't fix anything that is supposed to be a duty of the property management (Saagar Roud). I highly don't recommend this agency as they are completely unprofessional, they hire people that doesn't know how to read an email or would ignore your emails and let you repeat yourself on the phone when you call them. A big bunch of clowns to be avoided and specially because they are based in Birmingham and since they are not local, they have no idea what is going on and they don't care.

Sales staff are great but then you never hear from them once a deal is done. They have the worst sales progression team in the industry that have no idea what they are doing. They lie, take down all the wrong information and are so rude, unpleasant and unprofessional.  It might all sound good initially but be warned you are paying up front for a service that is free everywhere else and the back room staff have no idea what they are doing and you never speak to the same person twice They failed in other countries so you have to ask yourself why Be warned as once they take that payment you aint getting it back if they don't sell your house
