I bought a dress which I wanted to try on with the accessories at home, I was told I could do this and return it if not suitable. At no time was I told I would only receive a voucher,until I went in to return it. The returns policy board was by the till but covered up. I found the manager very pushy, anything for a sale. I will not use this store again and neither will my friends and family.

I got a coat as a present. I tried to return it a week later. I would have been ok to get a voucher but despite the fact that they are displaying their 30 days return policy clearly at the till and despite me having the receipt they refused point blank to honour their own policy. The manager said the returns policy didn't apply to that coat. My husband was assured at the time of purchase if I didn't like it I could return it. I will never buy from this store again and will tell all my friends and family.

Terrible robotic customer services both in store and head office. Brought a dress but was really poor quality and came apart at the seams after 1 wear. I took it back to Uxbridge with receipt under 30 days and firstly was asked what size is this and looked up and down...so rude. Then told they would need to speak to the manager (but it turned out the lady I was speaking to was the manager all along?????) Was offered an exchange. I wasn't happy with that as dress was faulty and I had receipt. Got passed back and fourth with head office. Was asked to write a complaint which I did but got a robotic scripted reply that didn't even answer my complaint. I am a very unsatisfied customer who will never shop in there again and wouldn't recommend it as a reputable high street store. Clothes are poor quality.

Returns policy is disgraceful! Charged £3 ‘fee’ plus postage cost to return item, even option to return to store is only a credit note issued or exchange. Costs you money to receive nothing - don’t order unless you are 100% confident it will fit and you like it! Will not order again. I order a lot online and have never experienced such poor customer service.

My trousers split all the way along the leg and I was told this had never happened before when I was told by an employee that it had. The manageress refused to change the trousers so I asked quality control to check them. I was told the following week that quality control agreed with the manageress that they had been worn so refused to change them. \i actually believe they were never sent to quality control because the email from customer services repeated that the manageress said word for word. Any reputable store would have changed them without hesitation (I had the receipt).

Disappointed in the service. I brought a black And which dress followed washing instructions and the black ran into the white making it pink. I was basically accused my the manager at Freeport talke of lying 'there is no pink pigment in black dye' and that was it. I contacted customer services and they were useless too! I have brought plenty of dresses from roman and feel disgusted that the one and only time I take something back I am treated in such an appalling manner. Hang your head in shame roman originals- your customer service is shocking!

I have had a very poor experience from them. Ordered some dresses on line on a Sunday evening. Got immediate confirmation of my order and payment made to them. Great I thought. By Friday no sign of my dresses so I rang their customer services - only to be told that my order had not even been dispatched from the warehouse. The reason given was that because there was several items they wanted to make sure that the parcel was secure!! The lady told me that her Line Manager would ring me the following day to explain why my order had not been dispatched. Clearly they had somehow forgotten to process my order and now 2 of the dresses were no longer in stock. When I queried again my order the lady told me that she would process my order for next day delivery but it may not arrive as the following day was Saturday. I was offered free returns on my order and a 20% discount on any further order. Needless to say I won't be ordering again from them. They have just lost a customer.

Easy online ordering, quick free delivery, BUT - if returns taken to store, they will not put payment back on your card and merely give you a Credit Note. Also if you return with their pre paid labels by post or collect, they reduce £3 from your refund. Extremely bad practice Roman.

This company only offers exchange or credit note if items returned to store. They will refund if you return by post but you must pay the postage cost, will never buy from this company again.

Absolutely shocking customer service provided by the Notts area manager in East Midlands Designer Outlet. She was rude, patronising and aggressive when we questioned the Romas returns policy and why the policy for non-returnable items has not been communicated to us in any shape or form. Will be raising a formal complaint against the staff as it has ruined our day out. Still in shock that it can happen in this day and age.

Had I known that I'd have to pay for returns, I would never have ordered from this company. The company recommends that the items be sent via recorded delivery so it's even more expensive. Also, if the goods are returned to their stores, they are not refunded. The goods are then put on a gift card. Never again.
