Buying an item and being told I can have a refund if not suitable and find they deduct £3.00 to cover the postage and not been told about that when ordering is a disgrace WILL NEVER USE THIS COMANPANY AGIAN

Bought crinkle top from Ashton-Under-Lyne branch to take on holiday. Wore the top twice crinkles almost disappeared it looked nothing like what I had purchased. Took the top back was told by the manageress that there was nothing wrong with the top. I disputed this was told that the area manager was due to visit the store in the next few days agreed to leave the top with them for the area manager to look at. Got call next day to say that the area manager was now not due for at least a couple of weeks. Was then told by the store manageress that in her opinion the top had been washed which I had already told her the previous day it had not been washed or ironed. I asked if she was saying that I was lying she denied this. I then contacted the customer service centre, was told that due to company policy the store managers decision could not be overturned. Asked to speak to a manager told they would ring me. After over a week after speaking to a manager still no further forward. Went to the store to see the manageress asked why she thought the top had been washed was told because it smelt as though it had been washed and she asked her assistant to confirm this. Told them that would be my perfume they could smell. Again asked were they saying I was lying, the assistant indicated that they were only doing their job. By this time I and my husband were not happy with their attitude, they then decided to call security as I tried to tell other customers about the problem I was having. Never in all my 71 years have I experienced this attitude on returning goods. This company does not have any respect for their customers. service

Will not purchase again from Roman Originals due to their Returns Policy. This is the first time I have returned anything bought on line from Roman Originals, ordered my usual size 10 but this particular top was too big, as they charge £3.00 postage for returns decided to go to the nearest shop, which was in an unfamiliar area. Parking charges and finding somewhere to park was an experience I would have preferred to avoid, eventually found the shop, given a card to buy something else even though I would have preferred a refund. The shop had very limited stock of anything in a size 10, so used the card over the phone to buy something else to the same value. Other on line retailers offers free delivery and free returns and a full refund. I have no intention of going through this hassle again will shop elsewhere.

A poor returns policy coupled with a very rude staff member in my local store. She was to the point I vowed not to shop there ever again. I went in for a disabled relative who could not try in an item as they are housebound and I had to return the item. The shop assistant had been rude on the previous two occasions and was exceptionally rude when I mentioned the poor returns policy, their website offers a refund if 'you are not happy with the item'- only for it to be a credit note via giftcard. It was not so much the policy but her attitude. The quality of items are good but would rather go without or shop elsewhere. Times are changing -many people shop online with retailers with no quibble returns policy, that is modern retail whether it is difficult for retailers or not, it is the competitive environment. Whatever happened to the customer being King. Shops are struggling to exist on the highstreet, you would think they would be keen to make it a better experience.

BE CAREFUL when buying anything from this store. If you change your mind they WILL NOT GIVE YOU A REFUND. I tried to return two items two days after I had bought them - I had the receipt and they were in exactly the same condition as when I had bought them, ie. unworn with tags on. Their policy is to offer you a gift card to spend at their store within the next 12 months and that's it - take it or leave it, no cash refund. I phoned their Customer Services to make a complaint as I was so surprised at their outdated policy. I got nowhere with this and was told my complaint would be escalated and was promised a call back from a team leader within 2 days but the call never came - nothing. They are not interested once they have your money - all they do is hide behind their ridiculous company policy and you are left with clothes that you don't want whilst they keep your cash. I for one will never shop in Roman Originals again and I have warned friends/family/colleagues that if they purchase something from this shop and change their minds they can whistle for a refund. There are plenty of other clothes shops out there that happily give you a refund if you need it - Roman Originals should take a leaf out of their books and lose their outdated policy.

Appalled to discover I can't return the item I bought today. No time to try on so just bought it. Was a little big so ordered a smaller size online as that size wasn't in the shop. Then read my receipt and discovered they don't give money back to you, only credit vouchers. If the smaller size doesn't fit I will now have nearly £100 in credit vouchers... I find it very odd that clothes can't be taken back. I paid cash. I saw a '30 day returns' sign near the till but didn't see 'no cash' part. Not happy.

The returns policy is so focused on them keeping your money and not on satisfied customers they treat customers like idiots and from what I’ve heard they also don’t much look after their staff will never ever go there again and constantly tell all my friends to avoid as well

Don’t agree with returns after 2 days in original condition being only offer3d a gift card then ordering on line and because hey wer3 too long returning and loosing £3 of my gift card then ordering again and them also being to long returning them to a shop inside of Beals and being told that they couldn’t be returned to them because there a stand alone shop , Went then to Horsham today another out of my way visits Just to return 2 dresses and at last I managed to find a dress that was a good fit but will still need to have the hem taken up as all of the clothes are for taller women, lost a brand new earning while trying on but couldn’t phone the shop as only a customer service number no store telephone number listed so overall would not recommend this shop and will not be returning apart from future returns as I still have money on the gift card to spend ☹️ Very very frustrating

Items never arrived to my home in SPAIN they kept telling me they were at the local post office, but when I went they said they hadn’t got it, so now stuck no parcel and don’t know where it is, not happy

I ordered two pairs of leggings. The first pair came apart at the seams on the knee. I sent it back and it was replaced. I ordered another pair of leggings and a coat. The hood on the coat fell off all the buttons fell off within a couple of weeks and again the leggings split at the seam. I sent them back over a month ago and still no contact from Roman Originals, despite calling them several times. I was lied to on the phone being told my package had arrived and was with quality control, they were going to get a seamstress to mend the coat. A month later I call back to find out why no contact was then told they had never received the package but luckily I had the tracking number and the then confirmed it was received !!!!!!!! I have now asked a manager to call me when their manager is in as no management to help today. Very cross that people have lied , fed up with shoddy goods, fed up that they would not tell me who their CEO is to write to about disgusting service, products and lies. Not happy will not buy from them again.

Never will I ever buy from Roman Originals again, The Returns Policy -: if you buy an item from store you do NOT get a refund for any reason, you are offered a credit gift card, you are NOT told this when you make a purchase, the smallest notice is at the back of the pay desk.. if you buy from the website YOU pay for the returns.. if you return to store from website purchase you are offered yet again a credit gift card, this contravenes the distant selling laws but it appears Roman Original are taking advantage of the customer

I bought a dress which I wanted to try on with the accessories at home, I was told I could do this and return it if not suitable. At no time was I told I would only receive a voucher,until I went in to return it. The returns policy board was by the till but covered up. I found the manager very pushy, anything for a sale. I will not use this store again and neither will my friends and family.

I got a coat as a present. I tried to return it a week later. I would have been ok to get a voucher but despite the fact that they are displaying their 30 days return policy clearly at the till and despite me having the receipt they refused point blank to honour their own policy. The manager said the returns policy didn't apply to that coat. My husband was assured at the time of purchase if I didn't like it I could return it. I will never buy from this store again and will tell all my friends and family.

Terrible robotic customer services both in store and head office. Brought a dress but was really poor quality and came apart at the seams after 1 wear. I took it back to Uxbridge with receipt under 30 days and firstly was asked what size is this and looked up and down...so rude. Then told they would need to speak to the manager (but it turned out the lady I was speaking to was the manager all along?????) Was offered an exchange. I wasn't happy with that as dress was faulty and I had receipt. Got passed back and fourth with head office. Was asked to write a complaint which I did but got a robotic scripted reply that didn't even answer my complaint. I am a very unsatisfied customer who will never shop in there again and wouldn't recommend it as a reputable high street store. Clothes are poor quality.

Returns policy is disgraceful! Charged £3 ‘fee’ plus postage cost to return item, even option to return to store is only a credit note issued or exchange. Costs you money to receive nothing - don’t order unless you are 100% confident it will fit and you like it! Will not order again. I order a lot online and have never experienced such poor customer service.

My trousers split all the way along the leg and I was told this had never happened before when I was told by an employee that it had. The manageress refused to change the trousers so I asked quality control to check them. I was told the following week that quality control agreed with the manageress that they had been worn so refused to change them. \i actually believe they were never sent to quality control because the email from customer services repeated that the manageress said word for word. Any reputable store would have changed them without hesitation (I had the receipt).

Disappointed in the service. I brought a black And which dress followed washing instructions and the black ran into the white making it pink. I was basically accused my the manager at Freeport talke of lying 'there is no pink pigment in black dye' and that was it. I contacted customer services and they were useless too! I have brought plenty of dresses from roman and feel disgusted that the one and only time I take something back I am treated in such an appalling manner. Hang your head in shame roman originals- your customer service is shocking!
