I purchased a dress a few months ago to take on my winter holiday. Did not wear the dress at all prior to holiday. When going to wear one night on holiday the back of the dress had risen considerably and was all uneven so was impossible to wear. Was going to just leave it on holiday but decided to ring Cutomer Services to see if there could be any explanation as having never worn it was quite baffling and never had that happen to me before. Obviously their response was to say as I had purchased the dress over 6 month ago they could not do anything. It was not so much that I wanted a refund but I thought they may have offered a Returns Label so that they could have a look at it just so I could get an explanation and they would then see that I had not washed or worn it by doing tests. This was not offered to me so I decided to write a Review on their site to say what had happened although I knew there were mostly excellent reviews already hence that's why I purchased it myself but NO THEY DID NOT PRINT IT. Strange that they can print all great reviews but not a negative one. That to me is not a true indication of Customers feedback if they are only printing the good ones. Emailed Roman to ask why it had not been printed but am still waiting a reply. The fabric on the dress was a stretchy viscose and I am wondering if it has got mis-shapen hanging on a hanger. Still obviously Customer Services not interested. On the positive side I have purchased another dress from them earlier which I am happy with but just baffled as why this one ended up the way it did.

Good looked good on line quality wasn’t great and nowhere was I told they would charge £3 for me to return an item will not shop here again ...BEWARE .....

Customer service was SO rude and patronising - talking down to me and even shouting at me on the phone. Disgraceful experience – was upsetting. No-one should treat customers like this. I was trying to tell them that their return policy written on website is misleading. Manager I spoke to did not care and rather continued to patronise me. At one point had to tell Manager to stop speaking so rudely to me. Poor return policy and disgusting customer service experience. Charges for return or forces you to have your money go on to their store card or pay for postage for return. Why got different policy for return to store or online - appears to be a way of not returning your money and taking money of your for returning items! Terrible return policy! Never shopping with them again! EVER!

I bought 2 item's on their eBay site over the "Black Friday" period. I payed via PayPal immediately and a few days later one item arrived but not the other, I contacted them through eBay and they said "the item was not available to them" yet the listing is still on and says "more than 10 available" however they have increased the price..They went on to say they have "refunded my PayPal account" THEY HAVE NOT. They are untrustworthy unscrupulous and very deceitful. I have reported them to eBay and I feel others need to be aware of their underhand dealings...VERY POOR COMPANY WHO LIE

dont refund you your money - only on a gift card - would never buy from there again, customer service is appaulling. What shop doesnt give your money back and puts on a gift card??

Bought a pair of trousers from the shop, but they didn’t fit quite right. Took them back and couldn’t get my money back, had to have a gift card. Think this is disgraceful, there is nothing else I want, but am having to buy something. Don’t know any other shop that has this policy. Shan’t be buying anything there again.

Roman Originals need to cut back on packaging. Not only was the top I ordered in a see through plastic cover, it was then put in a branded roman originals large carrier bag & then it was put in another plastic bag where they put my delivery details on!???

Customer service deplorable. I sent a dress back with alabel they sent to print on lie. Sent back on 25of September. I tried to fgettins out when I was getting my refund. asked to send in proof of return receipt.one said they didnt have it and despite more phone call one said the dress was out of stock anfd i coild keep the one I had (sent back) annd they wouls give me 25% back. Then another customer service agent told me they dont have the return.I just give uo

Love your clothes which I normally purchase on line. I went into the Solihull store yesterday 31st October 2019 and purchased (in cash) 3 items totalling £123.00. I didn't try on in store as I had an appointment to get to and was running out of time. I tried them on at home on the same evening. The two tops were too large and the jump suit was too short. I have re-ordered the tops online in a smaller size so will have to return the three items to store. I have found out from other reviews you do not refund but give a gift card. Why? This is my hard earned money not yours and you will have the goods to put back in the shop and sell to someone else. This was not explained to me when I paid for the goods - why not? Had it been I would not have purchased the goods. I certainly won't be buying from Roman Originals again and will not recommend to anyone for the above reasons. You are the only company I know who adopts this totally out of date and unfair return/refund policy.

I was just about to buy a dress and jacket from Roman originals but decided to check some reviews first SO glad I did as the company polices are shocking so needless to say I emptied my basket and bought elsewhere. Bernie Glasgow

Delivered to an entirely different address 100 mies away, they say it's been signed for and so nothing they can do - simply fraud - probably a staff members home.

I bought a coatigan in store got it home read the washing instructions it's hand wash i returned it to the store only to be told they don't refund your money , i am 80 and not able to hand wash something that size , i was given a gift card , just about everything i liked is made for someone a lot taller than me , or a couple of jackets i tried on and liked they didn't have my size , so they still have my £45 and the coatigan ,

The tracked delivery came the dress was great quality and a perfect fit. When I have returned goods they have been quite prompt with the refund. A great service

I ordered three items online which arrived on time. One top was very small and after reading reviews online seems to be a sizing problem. I returned it to my nearest store, a 35 min drive away, paid for parking and then discovered that I would not get my money back. This fact should be made clear on the front page of the site. It is stealth by another manner. My option now is to pay for postage so I can get my money back. Ordering the clothes has cost me money with nothing to show for it. I would never order from this company again unless they change their policies.

Bought a top from them but was faulty so returned it. Paid £24.00 for it and only received £20.00 back. They didnt pay me the return postage of €10.55 euros. Got no satisfaction from them after contacting them several times. Will never shop with them again.

Horrendous customer service. Bought a top that came away at the neckline due to faulty stitching. No proof of purchase as I had bought it in store, tried on and had no intention of returning it. Asked them to look at the email they take at payment as that may show proof of items I bought. Sent photos of item where you can see it is faulty stitching. Just replied that without my receipt there was nothing they could do and even with a receipt it had to be within 30 days and would be a gift card or exchange. Happy to take your money but customer service appalling. After several emails I get the same lame reply. Avoid this company. I have shopped for many years and bought a fair few items but won’t bother again. Looking at the reviews on here it seems I’m not alone sadly. Have never come across a company like it.

Bought top on hoilday told 30 days return. 3 days later returned to my local Roman shop to be told credit note or exchange. Just wanted my cash back. Roman wake up we are not in dark ages now. Will not shop there ever and will tell everyone I know the policy Roman have. Credit note will be given away. ☹️
