“I placed an order 3 weeks ago - my first one with Roman. After a week I sent an email asking when I could expect delivery and was told the item had already been delivered by Royal Mail. Since then I've received no response to any of my messages. I've also contacted Royal Mail and am waiting to hear from them. I'm really annoyed that I paid for an item that I've not received. Very poor customer service. Obviously, I won't be ordering from them again.”

“Worst place to go, DONT TRUST THESE PEOPLE, BUCH OF LIARS, WILL NEVER RESPOND YOU, I saw a property at Rightmove for £1200, i booked a viewing, First they turned up late, called in the office about 20 times no one answered, finally guy turned up, saw the house and agreed to pay asking price, next day i found out oh sorry this property is for £1300 not £1200, I said its still advertise for £1200, oh we apologies it must be a mistake, anyway I still agreed to £1300 so filled up usual form, took a week to come back to me and been told landlord decided to go with someone else when i called with different number its still available, THESE PEOPLE SHOULD HAVE BEEN BANNNED FROM BUSSINESS FOR SCAMMING PEOPLE , CAMERON SMITH, SANGHARSHA GURUNG, THIS IS FOR YOU TWO,”

“Went to buy a dress today only to be told I could not get a cash refund. I was astounded . This is the only store I know of who adopts this policy. This will lose Roman a lot of sales. This particular store was empty. I'm not surprised!”

“Just spent £166 ,on Roman clothes,I can usually order clothes,knowing that they will be fine,but last order the standards have dropped and spend loads through the year,knowing they will be o.k.but I have noticed with my last order,the tops do not have any under cami ,they are see through,standards have dropped ,such a shame,so now I need to spend more money to get under garments...please don’t under cut ,you have always had a good standards .and people will start to buy else where .”

“Appalling customer service at Street store! Rude assistant as soon as I entered store who had definite attitude ! NO REFUNDS even with receipt, not sure how they get away with this as against consumer law!! Definitely will never shop with Roman again and advise any one else not to go near!!”

“Have never known a company charge to return an item. "Just £3" says the return label!! What a joke. Won't bother ordering anything again, and will warn everyone who might place an order”

“Roman Originals do not put country of manufacture on their clothing labels. I like to know where my items are made and try to avoid made in China. I feel they maybe have something to hide and should clearly label country of manufacture so the customer can make an informed choice whether to buy or not.”

“bought a cardigan online - posted back 2/08/21 to be exchanged from size 14 to size 12. Have proof of posting, and of delivery back to warehouse 4/08/21. It is now October 24th - have received absolutely nothing - have complained in between time drawing attention to this issue. My purchase cost me £28 - think the overall neglect of retail business “Roman Originals” is disgusting - in my eye’s they don’t deserve custom. How can a Company like this still be trading.”

“Still waiting for a refund for an item I returned on 19 August and it is now 29 September. I tried to ring number shown on their web-site and it is out of action so e-mailed and got a response of not yet received item will e-mail when we are due to refund you. How long should I wait??? Over a month is unacceptable.”

“Don't advertise refund online at a shop as you suggest, if you can't get your money back. Absolutly shocking to deduct postage from you if you need to return the items on line. Would not reccomend and will not shop with them again.”

“Very disappointed to find that I could not get a refund when I returned a top that did not fit. Instead I was given a gift card. I did not have time to try on in the shop so lesson learned I will not purchase anything from the shop again without trying on.”

“I ordered clothes from Romans. I was hospitalized for 6 weeks. I lost 35 lbs. None of the clothing fit. Some not out of packages. I was told by a Supervisor 60 day return policy. I was in the hospital 6 weeks. The most ignorant people l ever spoke to. I work customer service for many years. Do not purchase from any of Romans or other names they fall under I'm out of pocket and can't pay hospital bills. Lousy company!!! Beware people.”

“I purchased two items for a friend who isn't well enough to shop for clothes. I found a very nice blouse and trousers that I thought would be perfect. However, the trousers were a good fit but that blouse was too long. I returned the item with the receipt to be told that I can only have a gift card or exchange. I did ask when I made the purchase if I could return them and was told that I could. No mention that you do not give refunds. Very poor customer service. I'm sure if you made that plain at the point of purchase I think a lot of people would say that they would go elsewhere. Come on Roman you need to think about your no refund policy. Every other clothes shop I can think of gives a cash refund as long as the item is in its original condition and you have a valid receipt. Well, the answer for me is to not buy from Roman in future.”

“I ordered dress on 6th June and money taken from my account. Dress did not arrive nor any email to say what had happened sent an email and reply blaming delivery issues. Still nothing arrived so sent further emails received no reply. So rang roman originals and spoke to lady who checked and said I'd have it by next day and apologised and if I receive the first dress to send back. NO DRESS ARRIVED NEXT DAY AND STILL WAITING.”

“Ordered a dress next day delivery my money was taken straight away, next day had an email saying "your order, oops our mistake, here is free delivery for next time", no explanation and two emails sent to them but no reply no email to say my order has even been dispatched and its not even listed in my orders on my account....where is my next day delivery dress? I want my money back now, won't use Roman originals again”

“Goods ordered 12 days ago, nothing arrived after a week so I emailed Roman Originals. I received a reply stating "Due to an system error it prevented your order from dispatch. We have now contacted the warehouse and your order will dispatch today and should arrive by Saturday". I emailed Roman Originals again but, they have chosen not to respond. Today, Tuesday, and another 5 days later still not received my goods. My money was taken on the day of my purchase, so I am now out of pocket. I have been a regular customer of Roman Originals but, DO NOT have the confidence to use them again. Don't throw your money away on goods you won't receive.”

“Terrible service thus far. Ordered trousers, unfortunately too small, have requested an exchange for an alternative size and am still waiting to receive those trousers! Have tried to contact the company to see where my order is up to ie. whether first pair of trousers have been received and where are my second pair of trousers but they are saying I have to wait 21 days. Not sure why? Now I'm just wanting a refund as I give up and think the service I have received has been absolutely appalling. Would not use again!”
