Very concerned that as of today 6th May 2022 it has now been 3 days since due to a "technical" fault no returns can be processed. I was told by the manageress that this is going to be the case until at least Friday 13th May 2022. Very concerning. How is it they can still take customer's cash but not process exchanges? The only information to new customers is a note pinned to the till saying "Unfortunately no returns can be dealt with today due to technical issues". Buyers beware!!

The dresses I ordered were not as described in the advert. They were supposed to be lined and they weren't. I contacted customer services and after 10 days I received a reply saying that I could return them without paying for postage. I then received an email stating that garments had been received and I would get a refund less £3 for postage. I contacted customer service again as this was not as I had been told, I am still awaiting their response. I am not impressed.

The sizing is all over the place. I ordered a dress to wear at a wedding, I would have needed a foot taking off the bottom and I'm not short. It looked nice in the photo, in reality not one bit and certainly over priced for what it was. They don't inform you when items are returned and you still get invoiced and have to chase it up Dreadful to deal with, I will never use them again

Bought a jacket for my daughter which I wouldn't have if I knew that we won't be able to return it for full refund. They should inform the customer clearly that they only offer exchange or gift card.

Jumper sleeve seam unravelled badly on the first wear but I no longer had the receipt, having tried it on in store and having no intention of returning it. Staff member in store said she would have replaced it but didn’t have any in store and wouldn’t allow a replacement with something else or issue a credit note. She suggested I call customer service. Their “customer service” didn’t want to know either. They said they couldn’t issue a refund without a receipt. At no point had I asked for one. No receipt, no help whatsoever. I used to buy quite a lot from Roman. Never again! Shoddy item, unfit for purpose and they don’t care at all. I’m quite shocked at their lack of customer care.

Products of poor quality "Customer service" , non existent . My advice save up buy better quality items elsewhere but less often . It sometimes can be the old adage you get what you pay for .

If I could give this place a zero I would. Customer service is hard to get ahold of. I returned pants that were $17 and I was given a e-gift card that was $6. The math doesn't add up. After finally getting ahold of customer service, they said they substract $10.99 for shipping. No where was that listed before I spent the item back.

I was also informed today that they only exchange, no refunds. Assistant looked down her nose at me too. Shop is full of admittedly nice clothes, but is it any wonder? I for one can’t afford to risk buying something which might not match the rest of my outfit if they don’t give refunds. More fool them!

Are Roman Original BIASED against their CURVE customers? As a plus size customer I only have the option to shop online with Roman Original as their stores do not carry anything above a size 20. Their Cure range is quite limited but I managed to find a blouse that I liked and sent for it. It arrived quickly but unfortunately didn't fit very well and gaped around the neckline. As there were no return labels in the package with the blouse I thought I would take it back to the store in my local town. I did this only to be told that they could not take it back from me under any circumstances as they do not stock the Curve line in store. Kind of like "we wouldn't want to stock those sizes in our store". I wasn't bothered about money back at the store, a gift card would have been OK but still the assistant and the manager were adamant that I could not return it to the store and told me I had to send it back by post, which I later found out would be at a cost of £3 that I would have to pay! Apparently this is all in their policy, so, yes I, like many others, should have read that bit before ordering. As a plus size customer, I am now left feeling that all of Roman Original Curve customers are at a big disadvantage to their smaller sized customers in that we can not go into a Roman's store and view the clothing on offer to us, the range of which is limited and has very little new products introduced, and we can not select and try on items before buying them and then, as if to rub salt into our wounds, we are not allowed to return our items, free of charge to a store like their smaller sized customers can! Is this fair, is this not discrimination against larger size women? I am sure if this came under the heading of any of the other "equality" headings that we see publicised every day then it would not be seen as correct. Roman Original, its not the 1960's or wherever, it is 2022, you know, equal rights etc.

Having a dress as a gift I somehow lost the receipt , probably as I have had wardrobes of Roman clothes in the same size thought it would fit . Well of course it didn’t 😬 I only wanted an exchange never had a problem it was even in the Roman bag tags still on No chance no way would they let me . Worked for Roman for several years , sold thousands of pound s of clothes for them . Never a problem when I worked there, as long as it was in sellable condition , you could always exchange without a receipt but not a refund . Anyway out of disgust I went to the charity shop a few doors away and handed them the dress , my loss their gain 😤

Lots of Roman shops being closed down and they`re concentrating more on online sales and through social media pages. The social media groups is full of women who buy too much stuff and bore you with photos and descriptions. Of course all comments are " its lovely, looks great, it suits you etc etc etc " even when it isn`t true. They all try to out do each other and some of them class themselves as "group experts " which is another name for spending too much. Of course Roman encourage the feeding frenzy they`d be silly not to but some of the women go OTT and Roman must be encouraging some to get into debt, not to mention all that polyester in the environment. The whole thing is quite nauseating, especially from grown women.

I bought a dress for my Father's funeral it cost £55 but when it came it was not true to size and did not fit. I have sent several emails to customer services since then requesting a refund. The dress was sent back by tracked Royal Mail on the 17.11.21 and I can see it was received on the 19.11.21. As I don't have the original order number they will not refund my money despite having my name, address and the tracking information. I would not recommend this company.

DREADFUL Have now unsubscribed. Numerous emails ignored. Phone call ignored. Facebook comment ignored. It is rare to receive such a total lack of regard to Customer Service. I have ordered a fair bit in last 12-18 months so you are happy to take my money. First time I have an issue you ignore me. Lost my business.

Customer service rep talked over me and was rude. Its ridiculous they don't have a Christmas extension on exchanges. Over $200 that I wanted to exchange but can't. You have to buy early for online now with the pandemic shortages so you are automatically outside the 60 days. I didn't want a refund, just exchange for the same shirts. The only offer they gave me was to repurchase the smaller size. Wow!! Just what I want to do, pay for it again.

Roman Originals have a terrible returns policy .U will never buy from then again .I bought a dress on line and tried to return ot to a store as it was unsuitable. I was told I could only receive a voucher in store and not my money back .As I did not want anything else in store the assistant I could send the dress back via post but would be charged £3 to return it ! This is what I had to do .No other high street shop has this policy returns are always free . I would for this reason advise anyone to consider this possible illegal policy roman have regarding returns and discourage them from buying their products

This whole company is a scam, they steal your money, you don’t get refunds and you don’t get the products your order. All they do is deny that fact you made purchases here just avoid avoid avoid.

Refund Issues. Items sent back totalling £73 which was recieved on the 15th December. I emailed to check when I could expect to receive my refund, however I was asked to send over a tracking number, upon me sending this the email bounced back, I therefore created another Customer Enquiry Form, I have today been advised that they are behind with refunds, it could therefore take up to 7 working days, this being Christmas Eve, I have emailed a response only for the email to bounce back again. I am appalled at the lack of Customer Service and attitude given that this pandemic has left lots of families worse off, do ROMAN honestly think we can wait this length of time for refunds? I am hoping that Management pick this message up and respond accordingly. Over the years, I have spent a great deal of money on ROMAN clothing, however if this is how valued customers are being treated, I will shop elsewhere. I look forward to receiving a response. One very unhappy, unsatisfied customer!!
