“Think they might have turned the corner! I have been a customer for years with no complaints whatsoever until recently. I had been waiting nearly a month for two refunds but both have been processed this week. Do hope Romans are back on track because I would hate to lose them!!”

“I posted on here last month, having same problem as other ladies with refunds. Then the very next day I received an email saying my refund was being processed. Yay! But was still waiting on another return from the 5 June. Then... received a general email saying that they were sorry and could do better as there had been issues with a new warehouse system and 20% off was being offered. So, now being an idiot I took advantage of this and ordered a top. This was delivered the very next day - so how amazing is that, they can still get their goods out and take customers money but give money back - useless! So I am now still waiting for a refund of £40 for a dress that I returned and tracking says they received it on 5 June and I can honestly say I shall think long and hard before I order from Roman O again. Such a shame because I've been using them for absolute years and this refund problem has never been an issue in the past.”

“I am having exactly the same problems as all these other customers! Sent a return back, no response to emails and unobtainable phone lines! I even emailed the managing director all to no avail. I like others can’t afford to throw money away and am at my wits end! Don’t know what to do next. I just want my refund……”

“If l could give a zero star rating l would. Absolutely terrible, l sent goods back on the 16th May and still waiting for refund. Like others, the phones are always down. This is now my 4th email to them (l can only email via the website) to try and get my refund back. Shame because l did like their clothes but will not be buying from them again!!”

“Like many others I am also waiting for my refund of £80 The return was tracked by Royal Mail and was received by Roman on the 25th May it is now the 20th June. Emailed twice with no reply and I’ve been trying to call but with no luck. There apparently is a “fault” on the line! I will never set foot inside a Roman original shop again and I am warning everyone I know how appalling the returns and ( non existent) customer service is.”

“The refund system is appalling. I received an order on 30th May and returned it the same day. I have emailed and sent a request for an update twice on their website. Their phone number is never available. It is now 20 days since I sent the item back and have not received my refund. This is bad practice for any business and I will never use Roman Originals again.”

“I have regularly ordered from Roman but returned goods to them on the 30th May, tracked as received by the post office on 31st May, still not had my refund, awaiting over £250 back from them. Every time I ring I get a message that the lines are down, I have emailed customer services, no reply and filled in the "contact us" page twice, the second time heading it as an official complaint, still nothing, very worrying indeed. I wont order from them ever again.”

“Have tried for four days to get through on the phone. Constantly engaged and then surprise surprise a recorded message Saying there is a fault also the returns policy is appalling. Quick enough to take my money not so quick at refunds”

“Goods returned as the fit was very poor, still waiting on a £200 refund for 5 weeks now. I have sent 3 emails & no response & phone lines don’t work! Really!! Would never use again & strongly recommend to avoid at all cost”

“Same problem as others £46 no refund since early May . Split between credit card and gift card. Today I cannot even access gift card balance, locked out .Whatever discount you offer will not be purchasing”

“Ordered a dress for a wedding, it arrived within days. Even though I followed the sizing guide, it was too small, so I sent it back. I tracked the parcel and it was received the following day. That was over a month ago. Because the dress is needed for a wedding in three weeks, I have e-mailed twice. I received a reply thanking me for my message and I would receive a reply within two days and not to e-mail again or it would take longer for them to reply. I'm still waiting!”

“Returned two items as they didn’t fit. No acknowledgment. Tracking shows return was received. Contacted customer services but no response. This company is either fraudulent or just incompetent. Don’t use them if you need to return anything because you will not get your money back. I will be raising a claim through Visa and contacting Trading Standards.”

“I did not receive the dress I ordered despite the money being taken from my account. I received no response to my email so tried phoning. I was number 23 in queue. I held for 53 minutes, reached number 3 in queue to be told the lines were closed due to an outage problem. What is going on ? I have not got the dress, lost £40 and I dread to think of my phone bill ! Shame there isn't zero stars !”

“I sent an item back on the 5th of june wanting a refund i am still waiting for my refund.Ive sent a few e-mails but they do not reply and that is not a way to run a business.I am not happy so come on Roman Originals pull your finger out and give us all our refunds.”

“Do not order from this company I posted an order back on 13/5 2 dresses and a jacket all in the same package. Monday 13/6 received a refund for the jacket which was the cheapest item in the return. Still unable to get hold of anyone via email. PayPal and head office”

“I sent back a dress requesting a different size as the one ordered didn’t fit me I returned on 23rd May which I have proof off , I have sent emails and tried to call them but nothing the dress was 48.00 it seems Roman are quick at taking your money but not so when returning So annoyed”
