The half assed donkey ads are dreadful. I would never shop at Rona again. You should be ashamed.

We ordered a sliding glass door for a closet. When it arrived it was damaged so we let Rona customer service know, sent them pictures. They told us to get rid of it. I told them we would need a truck and pay for the dump so they offered us $45 which was not enough. I asked them if we would now get a new door and no one seemed to know anything about it. This was all happening in February 2025. We first ordered the door in January 2025. After several calls to Customer Service, one of their workers told us a new door was on its way. We found someone to take the old door off our hands but suddenly were told RONA was coming to pick up the door, which they did. I called Customer Service for the 15th time to find out when the new door was coming. We were told there was no door coming. We are now into April. Called again. Someone there seemed to know a new door had been ordered and would be delivered soon. The freight company would call. I asked for the freight company’s number and called them. Yes they would deliver on Friday April 4. Phew, at last. Then we got a call on April 4th to say Rona had not delivered the door to the transport company so there would be no door for us. This is completely unacceptable so I called Customer. Service for the 16th time and asked for a refund. We were then sent an email that the freight company had been calling us but we weren’t answering or picking up their calls for delivery. This is the worst service we have received. Customer service has been unhelpful and we don’t have a door or refund or solution. Can this get any worse!!!

your commercial using the deformed donkey causes me to change the channel instantly. Good PR? I think not. Its borderline bullying. Please lose it. I could say more but language would not be appropriate. I used to really like your company.

Please remove the awful tv ad with the poor deformed donkey! It’s so disturbing, why anyone would think an ad like that would want someone to shop at Rona is beyond me!

The recent commercial about “half-ass” is totally disgusting! The donkey is shown as being deformed with tears in its eyes and this is inappropriate . The whole message of this commercial doesn’t even make any sense . It makes fun of an animal - it is tasteless and I change the channel when this commercial is aired. I will not shop at Rona anymore

Firstly found it really hard to find someone to help me (and that’s not the first time) then when I did find someone to help me and picked up the plastic piping that I needed for my project I stood for 25 minutes waiting for someone to cut the pipe only to be told we don’t cut plastic piping it causes sparks?? I have tried using this store on many occasions as it is quite local to where I live, but will never go again it’s always a very unsatisfying experience. No one helps you and the staff who do try to help you are badly trained or not trained at all.

Went into the new RONA+ (formerly LOWES) at Crowfoot in Calgary to buy a glass patio door and have it installed. Most staff seemed either uninterested or not knowledgeable. Several just walked away. Not sure what's up. Ileft after talking with the manager, when another salesperson I was speaking to just walked away. They need to get their act together, or close up shop. Definitely not the bricks and mortar facility that Lowes was.

will never shop with you again over our last purchase. Store manager was supposed to return call, never heard back. Wish it had stayed Lowes

I oredered a light fixture that arrived with a damaged glass shade. I was told that I only had 3 days to report the issue and I was too late. I really don't think that is acceptable.

I really wanted to support a Canadian affiliate but every time I’m in Rona I literally can’t find what I’m wanting and end up going to. Tonight I stopped and had 7 things on my list and not things that were odd or abnormal. I walked out & honestly there’s no chance I’ll go back unless they hire a different purchasing manager!!

I was trying to buy Canadian. We don't have many choices when it comes to building supplies. I went to RONA because they used to be Canadian (owned by an investment firm out of New York now) I visited the store to purchase paint for doors and trim, as I was looking for better quality paint than what I had. A clerk assisted me by showing me three options, and I chose the mid-range paint priced at $48, as it fit my budget. While the paint was being shaken, I noticed a sign advertising 30% off SICO Endurance, which would have been a better-quality paint at a lower price of $42. I asked the clerk if I could switch to the discounted paint (she should have known about the sale). To my surprise, the manager refused to allow the switch because tint was already added to make it white. I ended up purchasing the original paint because I needed it for my project, but I left the store feeling disappointed and frustrated. This experience has made me reconsider where I shop for my renovation needs. When I got home I sent in a complaint and they offered me 10% off my next purchase. I felt it to be an insult. So I phoned customer service, they offered me a $10 gift card. That at least brought the cost down to the sale price. But I'm still stuck with crappy paint. You would think customer service would be more of a priority during these tense political and economic times. I guess not.

Rona in Barrie Mapleview, the customer service is disgusting. I tried to return a product which I was not satisfied with and because it was used and according to them it had no defects, I could not return it. They simply told me that I had to take it back home. Ask for the return policy and they tell me that it only works if the product is damaged or if it is not used and is returned in its original packaging. Do not go to Rona. You will regret it for sure if you have problems with your product, I assure you.

Went to the Brampton (Steeles Avenue) to get a sheet of Baltic birch plywood @ almost $100s a sheet I might add, but I needed a couple cuts to even be able to get it own. I commented to the guy that they needed a new blade annd that I wasn’t even sure it was usable with the ridiculous amount of tear out. His comment was that, “yeah, the saw was really dull”. So if you know it. The customer calls it out and you work in a hardware store with blades 100 ft away, why not fix it? Because nobody cares!

Did not! Went to Rona a few days ago. More employees than customers in the store. Searched for the products I needed couldn’t find. No one asked if I needed help, went to Home Hardware, was asked immediately, showed me, went home with the product I was looking for.

Aadil at the W. Gwillimbury location is as good as it gets. We have dealt with him a couple of times on new purchases and warranty issue and his service couldn't have been better. He had Paris assist us with the last return warranty issue and she was great as well

Travelled 25 minutes pushed in time to buy melamine shelves on sale(only$1 off). Shelf was empty. Bought some other ones and asked for rain check on out of stock ones. Check out person did not know what a rain check was. Customer service said they had some in the warehouse in stock if I wanted to wait until they could get them out. Said “sorry, but I’m too pushed on time” asked for a rain check. Customer service said they can’t give a rain check because they do have some somewhere in stock. Again said I didn’t have the time to wait and had come from the other end of the City to get these. Nope no rain checks Perhaps if you’ve something on special you’d have someone monitor the stock and replace those sold. Thanks Rona I’ll pay full price at Copps.
