I was a returning customer, having been extremely satisfied with previous purchases, However on this occasion of the purchase of a TV corner unit, the package arrived unannounced via XPD courier service at a very inconvenient time and was left before it could be examined. On unpacking the unit was found to be damaged both on the back, which was not a great problem, but also on the front which was very noticeable, also areas of the cabinet were very poorly finished, some appearing not to have any varnish at all. Although the customer service was reasonably OK via e-mail and waiting several days for a reply, I feel that a phone call from the company could have expedited matters in a more efficient manner, the old , We are working from home and can not answer the phone excuse after a year is wearing a bit thin. Also having to make my own return labels as non were forth coming was a bit of a cheek as was the offer of a £30 reduction in the price if I kept the cabinet, the damage was most likely caused in transit but the quality was poor and customer service needs to be tweaked somewhat.

Although I measured for the bookcase it was much smaller than I had expected it to be which was disappointing. It is nicely made and feels really good quality on the positive side. The biggest issue was the delivery company as the box was delivered to my driveway with the driver telling me to unwrap it outside as it was covered in paint due to the warehouse staff thinking it was a laugh to open some pots of paint in the delivery lorry so that they spilled. The driver rang his boss about it who told him to “crack on “and get on with it! The driver did unwrap it outside when I said I wasn’t happy with it and take all paint covered wrapping away with him which I was grateful for but this meant I couldn’t have returned the item even if I had wanted to and left me with a driveway covered in paint which I had to clean up!

Had issues with damage to one of the shelving units. But roseland were very good and did organise a replacement and pick up of the damaged item. Nonetheless the effort of packing it back up for return was frustrating. Overall I am now happy with the shelves, they are average quality but don’t expect them to be perfectly finished.

When I placed my order I got a prompt response. I was told the order had been dispatched but a week later there was no delivery and the track on XDP seemed to show it had not moved at all. After 10 days I wrote to Roseland Furniture but the response only told me what I already knew. Then XDP sent an email to tell me the furniture would be delivered that day. The XDP app showed no time slot or track on the driver. The furniture arrived at 3pm. I was disappointed to find when we unpacked it that a section along the top front measuring 25x4cm was not polished. Roseland have responded to my complaint with advice about polishing and a £25 refund or replacement which is satisfactory. I feel that there has been a level of frustration and hassle with this order and delivery which was quite unnecessary.

Took a while to arrive. It's not solid oak and the top is a veneer which had a small tear at the back The frame , rear and base panels are all basic plywood. However it looks good and serves our purpose perfectly

The book case was well wrapped with no damage on arrival. How ever on inspection the shelves and the back had not been completely finished. The painting had not been completed. On the whole we’re happy with the purchase as you can’t see the defects when the books are in place.

The furniture is great but the courier service that is used has really let them down, my first order arrived a day it was expected and my second order arrived completely unannounced at 9.30am on a Sunday morning. This would put me off ordering again

1st time using Roseland reading their description on how everthing is hand made and bespoke was disappointing to see a label made in Japan. Delivery was pretty quick but was left in a neighbours garden while I was out at work. No email confirmation of time of delivery till 2 hrs after it had been delivered. Packaging was excellent very protected. Furniture is well made not high end. There was some draw knobs missing i just went and bought 2. All in all Happy with my Furniture. Would I buy again probably not unfortunately.

The furniture was attractive but badly damaged so I arranged a return - got a message to say it would be picked within 8 days and asked to put a home made label on the box - not a problem . The day after a man arrived to pick the furniture up and I asked him to wait whilst I wrote and stuck the label on - he said he hadn’t got time and not necessary / I insisted I wanted to follow Roseland instructions and he refused to wait - the damaged furniture is still here. This morning I’ve had an email from XDS saying they are retrieving a parcel from me - I’m assuming it’s the furniture but the message has no mention of Roseland ! I will ask for more information obviously when XDS arrive - XDS were picking up for Roseland - can I suggest this is clear by in future . I am looking forward to having my new perfectly conditioned TV unit delivered !

Packaging excellent but shame the back wasn’t finished properly and the catch doesn’t hold up properly. Otherwise looks good.

Received a replacement desk due to issues with the first. Poor workmanship I’m afraid. Requires assembly and screws not aligned with holes - forced to leave one out, washers too big, overhang on fixed section meant leg would not fit aligned and now have sloping leg - nothing what we’ve done. Drawer runners easily come apart. Happier with the two chest of drawers we purchased, but someone needs to address the build issues with the desk - especially as it cost over £400!

We ordered a bookcase. The website does not ask for a county in your address. Therefore nobody seemed to understand our address was on the Isle of Wight as the postcode starts PO - Portsmouth. At the second delivery attempt after a return by the first courier and with different couriers the item arrived almost one month after ordering:- The item was comprehensively packaged but nevertheless there was a large split in the back of the bookcase which was to go against a wall. Fortunately the damage did not show on the front of the case in any way, so, no return to be attempted but I guess the last time we will use this firm and trust to their courier delivery
