“Items held in national return centre for further two weeks despite phone calls from vendor and myself. Same items cleared and resent after inspection and confirmed by royal mail letter to be compliant with 2017 terms and conditions. No chance of speaking directly to a Unaccountable and uncommunicating department.”
“I posted a small lightweight parcel (0.178Kg) weight on Monday 21/08/17 at 09.41am First class signed for which cost £4.40, I would have expected it to arrive at it's destination in Sunderland by the following day, but it has not arrived there today the 22/08/17, first class post should arrive the following day that is why it costs so much more than second class, this is a very poor service and I will use a different service in future.”
“Sending a letter or a parcel through a Royal Mail is like throwing your money into the bin. You will lose the value of your item as well as the postage fee and nobody cares about it.
Some of the staff smiles steadily as a mentally ill person, but can not answer a single question. The other part of the staff is not at all friendly, helpful and rude to the client.
Go to the post office is a nightmare, I pray for a more intelligence administrator because I already had a lot of bad experiences with them whether it is a letter, parcel, driving license or oyster card.”
“Royal Mail service is atrocious and it's getting worse, feel I always have to send my mail recorded delivery, they point blank refuse to say 1st class will get there the next day trying to get you to purchase an inflated postage price to guarantee next day delivery, what is the point of first class mail!!!!!!!!!!!”
“They ring the door bell and think their duty is over and leave, it takes a human a few seconds to get down the stairs or cross their house to open the door, we can't just fly there, even if i run it down the stairs, it takes a few seconds at least, but no, they don't consider this and just drop their card, which is mostly half filled and this time they didn't even drop a card and i got a message saying that your parcel has been delivered either to your address or a neighbour? which neighbour? no one even rang the doorbell, which works because I used it later and there were 4 other people present in the house at that point. Their service keeps deteriorating and I now see myself avoiding them when possible, but what can you do when they are the main service”
“I am leaving a one star review due to the fact that i cant leave zero! I have had 3 parcels taken back to the halifax office (whilst I have been in waiting for them) due to the fact that the delivery drivers couldnt be bothered to deliver my mail to my back door as my garden is inaccesible. After organising a re-delivery (which royal mail FORGOT about) I called and spoke to the manager Jim Sneddon, he informed me that I woild have to wait another 2 days for my delivery, despite the numerous errors on their part. He also told me that i should leave my gate open even though I never use it for access and my other door is actualy on a main road and said that they dont have to try deliver if they cant get to the house. Absolutley shocking customer service and the only thing Jim is managing is the pile of undelivered parcels that will probably fall him kill him before they get delivered.”
“Royal mail used to be the finest of our public-owned institutions. Since it was privatized, it's prices have soared at an extortionate, rate. Now it joins the rank of other privatized companies that are bleeding the British public dry. I'm sad to say that this is what happens with a Conservative government. Great for the fat cat vampire scoundrels at the top; no good for anyone else.”
“Poor service on so many levels
I am a sole trader and send 200 items a day (unable to use an alternative company for letter sized items as none yet available). I have to put in around 20 lost/damaged post claims a month and I am always out of pocket as they do not cover the re packaging costs and time sent to resend items and claim for takes ages to complete.
Today had a very poor service from the Hinckley sorting office, jobsworth behind the counter. I went to collect a signed for letter, took all the ID with me that I usually take to the Rugby sorting office and they refused to give me the letter unless I supplied a bank card or paying in slip.
Sole Traders DO NOT have to have a bank account in the company name as a SOLE TRADER and therefore I am unable to collect me item as addressed to the business. Unable to rearrange redelivery as was needed urgently for today.
I can not fault my local post office as they are amazing but the company as a whole are C**P.”
“Over the last few months cards we have sent either haven't arrived or turned up 4 days later with a first class stamp and a delivery which we thought was next day took 2 and a half day!!!! Bloody shocking”

“TOOK THE DAY OF WORK TO WAIT FOR MY NEW MOBILE PHONE AND GUESS WHAT THE POSTMAN HAS STOLE MY ITEM AND MARKED THE TRACKING DELIVERED. FUMING . “I would really like to thank everyone working at the Royal Mail and making the whole process so smooth every single time in my many years of using it regularly (this review is long overdue). Even on many occasions I missed the postman, Royal Mail would always ensure that my items are delivered intact to me at an alternate date/time. The tracking is another fabulous aspect, and how fast deliveries are carried out - even international ones to/from UK, each step well-updated. I count myself really lucky to be experiencing this great postal service from an affordable provider as compared to that of many of our neighbouring countries (sorry to implicate). As a bonus, post office counter staff are always so pleasant to deal with. I understand when queues can get a little long sometimes at the post offices (in London, in my case), but that's entirely natural for such excellent service rendered. I hope you all at the Royal Mail will keep up the good work!”
“I love using Royal Mail they deliver my items really quickly.
All of these arrive at destination Highlands or Lowlands because posties know the areas and recipients address.
Any problems they are returned to me free of charge!!
In cases of non delivery they are returned to depots for customers to collect or have redelivered.
Excellent services all round.”

Utterly disgusting!
Sent an important package for our business to the warehouse in China and Royal Mail managed to lose it and made us fall behind by a whole month! Absolutely despicable company with no compensation and really poor customer services!
Truly the worst of the worst!
Better yet - they've lost my latest package as well sent by first class post on Monday! It's saturday now and where is it? It was a very important package!
Shame on you Royal Mail! You deserve to be on the list of worst companies in the world!”
“What fool at royal mail changed the delivery rules?? Talk about crap! What is the point of a delivery service that doesn't f***ING deliver. I stayed in all day to wait for a parcel - idiot didn't even ring the bell. Just shoved note through door and ran. Second time this has happened - so hacked off with them. Notes to royal mail. 1 train your staff how to use a door bell. 2. People sometimes leave their homes. It is okay to leave a parcel in a safe place - as you have been doing for years. Sack the idiot who says you can't!!!!”
“I paid to have my mail redirected and not received a single letter. I have phoned twice, to be told it takes time. It's been three weeks since I done it. My son, brother and mother have all moved recently and none of them have had any mail either. My brothers mail is taken in by a neighbour when she sees him. Appalling so called service. Surely people can sue for this. They have given people our private information like on my payslip it has my personal details”
