Royal Mail Special Delivery Didn't deliver. I've used this once reliable service for many years suddenly a parcel valued at £450 goes missing. I tracked it and said we've received your parcel and will deliver on or before the required time. So waited in walked the dog came back and waited for the parcel to arrive, sorry no delivery, just tracked it and it's in the system and has been received and in the system etc etc. Tried to phone a human who was helpful but wasn't familiar with system and she said she thought the parcel was being delivered back to the sender!!!not sure why!!! I will have to reconsider how much I use this service in the future for irreplaceable items, they may be insured up to £500 included in the terms and conditions Wake up Royal Mail find my parcel!!! Why do you throw away such a once reliable service.

I sent an order for my business as two separate packages, tracked and signed for. The items in question were solid metal and yet Royal Mail still managed to break one. Royal Mail claim that because I do not have proof of purchase for when I originally bought the items they will not cover the cost of the broken item. Royal Mail told me to fill in a claims form and they took longer than the given time to respond to the claim and only responded when I rang up twice to tell me nothing would be done. Avoid this company, they give lots of answers with very little substance and as a small business owner I cannot afford to cover the mistakes of this company. Nothing good to say about them, disgusting service and if I could I would give them 0/5.

Got online to post a parcel , came to £2.80 but you have to make a prepayment minimum of 3.50!!!! Prepayments are in set amounts so at any one time you have money stashed with the Royal mail. A total scam they are in effect borrowing your money at nil interest- might not be much but multiply that by a million or so and it really does add up. What a bunch of tossers, much better to go with Hermes.

I sent an item from Birmingham to Brazil in July 2016, as it was a valuable item I purchased extra compensation and secure/tracked shipping. The item never arrived and after chasing it up I was informed it was sent back. The item was never returned to me and I filed for refund in September 2016. After many months and hundreds of emails to customer service, sending all the documentation and proof of the lost item and compensation purchase many times, Royal Mail told me they disposed of my item and would forward it to the claims department! I called customer service again many times, was finally directed to the resolution team, they told me they would send me a check to compensate me for my lost item and now, end of February 2017, 7 months after I sent the item I have nothing. More than 6 months of constant stress, terrible service, no compensation for lost item, Royal Mail owes me £250, I do not recommend this service EVER and never using Royal Mail again!

Most Disorganised Customer service Royal Mail for business is being a total frustration, when we were invited to use them the promised all the best advantages of using the company, Low Prices, best shipment here and there, and a superb customer service. Ok, that lasted real short, after 8 months the problems started and nobody to take responsibility, being problems: - Things were never delivered to the customer and left anywhere, notes were not left visible. - Prices increasing every once in a while even sending 300% more than at the beginning of the business they just don't care they just increase it. - The most frustrating "Claims Department" that never gets a single thing sorted, things lost internationally at the value of £80 they took almost 3 months to pay me £6 which I am still waiting for, quite ridiculous when you are promised you are going to be well treated when you are just ignored and they do whatever they like. My Frustration has no measure how much the company really made my business and my every day worse, we hope to have a better deal with DHL so Royal Mail won't benefit from a single penny from us anymore.

If I could give them 'zero' stars, I would! Still no response from chief executive Moya Greene personally, she just allocates new staff as soon as I receive a shoddy response, and to avoid fair questions asked to catch the thieves! I posted a special delivery, trackable, item July last year, and, have not been given any response to my fair questions, nor offered ANY compensation, despite this supposedly being company policy! No parcel found and returned back to me as requested, no repayment for the financial loss of it, as yet. I have sent all receipts and no response. Another guy, on another incident on the internet, involving headphones sent and accused of not sending, was taken in for questioning and court case dropped. This was a perfect opportunity for the courts to request detailed accounts from royal mail, the perpetrators! I wonder why that did not occur? James Eadie of royal mail stated ' He should of sent it Special delivery! Haha I did and it still DID NOT GET DELIVERED TO WHERE ROYAL MAIL STATED! If royal mail state to me they delivered it to a certain address, why are they themselves not prepared to report this fact to the police, I wonder hey...!? I asked them to knock the door and get it back to me, also refused. Who thinks this smells fishy on behalf of royal mail? After all, we don't get bought houses by our employers in the uk, I read online Moya Greene did... Along with a huge salary of hundreds of thousands a year... Extremely odd when I fail to see ANY responses from her personally, agree...? Where is the value of my stolen items and compensation owed please? Even better, a trackable item, tracked!!!??? Would this fall under trading standards remit of false advertising possibly? DO NOT TRUST ROYAL MAIL TRACKABLE OR SPECIAL DELIVERY! I'd advise a smaller courier company, ONE THAT DOES NOT EMPLOY THIEVES, ONE THAT DOESN'T COVER UP FOR THIEVES, AND ONE THAT CARES :)

Disgusting service. Despite perfect opportunities to catch thieves, they constantly decline to bother, and, over the space of 3years! They in fact cover up for their thieving bunch of shitbags! Who is in charge of royal mail please, anyone know!??

Thank you! One week before Christmas I posted a parcel from Australia to England. I didn't expect it to get there before Christmas, and I was told it would take around 3 weeks to arrive. "Fair enough" I thought "I did leave it quite late to post" But it arrived to my friend in Northern England within 6 days of leaving Tasmania! So between Australia Post and UK Royal Mail, Thanks! You exceeded my expectations by a long way.

Im abouslty disgusted in this i just hope there wasn't something inside luckily my aunty tends to post cheques so she will be able to cancel it but if its cash then shes lost it all down to hands of someone whos supposed to be trusted employe for royal mail

Small Royal mail branches have the worst customer service and they overcharge for anon passport forms but at the end he is giving bad advice on how to fill up a form and is y parcel. Do they have a person in charge of controlling this issue? Totteridge post office has a grumpy old guy who thinks is an expert on filling up forms but at the end he end up confusing himself and using a very rude tone when explaining how to do the forms.

Day to day deliveries with Royal Mail are a living nightmare! Firstly as We have communal letter boxes outside, our usual postman (can tell by his signature on the 'something for you' card) never attempts a delivery but instead writes out the red card and posts it through the letterbox outside. On one occasion I finally met the cheeky sod. He buzzed my flat from outside and asked me to come downstairs as he doesn't go upstairs for anyone! What? :S Is that not part of your job description??? After having a rant with him over the intercom I finally caved in and went downstairs. He laughed at me and said "see I don't go upstairs for anyone". I made a complaint a month ago and surprise surprise no one has got back to me. It was really sensitive as I am a victim of DV and at the time my ex partner could have been in the area so the police had told me to stay at home until he had been apprehended. On the most recent occasion I booked a Special Guaranteed delivery for 9am. It did not come at 9 but instead it cam at 10.48 am. So I missed it as I paid for a 9am service for a reason! I have things to do! I booked a redelivery which I missed which also came at 11am. And then booked a reliedelivery for today. I suspected that it would come between 10am and 11.30am so I waited. However as it did not say 'on delivery' (which was a mistake on their part) I grew anxious as to where my £200 parcel was. So I went to the pick up office, waited for the slow customer service guy to serve the 3 people in front of me (he took ten minutes for each person). When it was eventually my turn he could not find my parcel. So I returned home, opened my letter box and guess what there was a 'something for you' card. I missed him by 5 mins. I rushed back hoping he had returned and that I was the last on his route but unfortunately I wasn't. I waited till it closed waiting for him to return where I was shouted at and told to leave. So I called customer service to complain but I can expect to hear nothing back from them as usual! But to cut a long story short. If you want a shitty service then choose Royal Mail! (Especially if you are from Barking, Greater London) It just sucks sometimes if Royal Mail is your only option. But if you have another option. Go elsewhere!

Have purchased International Signed for service £12.85 online as it seemed more convenient, never again! Queued in post office for over 30 min with all prepaid and printed parcel, post office computer did not recognize the barcode and I was advised to go back to speak with royal mail as I bought the label from them and the post office has had the same problems with a few parcels today. Called Royal Mail and was told to purchase the label again and they will refund the first one in 7 working days after they will be sure I have not used the not working label as there is no problem at their end, the problem apparently is mine! Yes, royal mail is absolutely right!!! I have a problem! I still have a parcel to send, I still need to go back to post office and waste an other half hour queuing and pay AGAIN! Meanwhile royal mail will have my money for at least 7 days, no apology or compensation for lost time on offer there! It is not their problem!!! Received cancellation of the label email - it states there has been problem with printer. There was no problem with my printer as in post office they even tried to enter all codes from label into computer manually and codes were not accepted! BUT OF COURSE IT IS NOT ROYAL MAILS PROBLEM!

slowest and worst delivery company ever on the 23rd sept i decided to order myself some dodgeball vinyl idolz from zavvi and they cost £14.99 each x 2 = £29.98 and zavvi didnt send with tracking ifo so just have to wait and they said wait 14 days after dispatch. and today is the 1st oct and i got in was one parcel from ebay and nothing else still waiting. plus on the 25th sept i ordered 5 more vinyl idolz £14.99 each 3 ghostbusters and 2 napoleon dynamite ones of which im still waiting for with 2 pops cylon and darlek pop but zavvi sent the cylon separate by recorded mail i got that but why not send the rest by recorded mail. plus in the past mail men around here have stuck my mail through another thieves door which sounds the same but isn't this address and hes around the corner from me. but no proof of posting so he can pilfer my mail and the postman dosent think twice about looking at the name on the mail just the address lazy man.

If the Royal Mail was an ambulance service there would be a lot of very ill or dead people in the UK. Parcel posted Royal Mail 48 on 20th August has still not arrived on the 25th.My advice is to forget this 48 hour service, its a ripoff, and send 1st class,as its the same service but you pay a lot more for the so called 48hr service. This country needs a mail service provided by a decent organisation, not the current lot who either don't care or don't have a clue.
