“It is a couple of years since I ordered flowers from Serenata and decided to order last week the `Bali Hai `orchids for our 36th wedding anniversary as my wife is a lover of orchids. The ordering service was good and arrangements for them to be deliver at the resturaunt in Oldbury on Severn before Midday to be there for our 7 pm meal went as planned. It was arranged that after our meal for the waitress to bring them the table during coffee. Thats when things went down hill fast. I had ordered a vase with the flowers so they would be presentable. They arrived in the vase wrapped as expected but squashed in the shape of a narrow flute not much wider than the vase itself. I had only ordered the standard blooms of ten, I hate to think what it would have looked like if I had enhanced the order to fifteen. Because that was the only vase available it certainly was not suitable for those delicate flowers. The presentation looked nothing like the standard display on the website. On arriving home the first thing my wife did was to put them in a vase more suitable, but because they had been crushed it was difficult to make them look anything special and haven`t lasted as they should. The flowers themselves would have looked lovely had they not been treated this way. Sorry Serenata but my surprise evening was spoilt because of a very poor presentation coming to the table in what should have been very special evening. Perhaps Serenata should consider advising when an arrangement is not suitable for the ownly vase available. It would have helped if the flowers had not been crushed into a flute. Now very reluctant to order in future. Graham Johnson”

“Flowers arrived slung in a box delivered upside down miserable delivery guy and to say we were disapointed is an understatement to bunch delivered did not reflect the picture more a garage brought bunch and certainly not worth the price paid at all ! Will not ever use again as will not even do anything about it both me and hubby disapointed as these were for our anniversary and the disappointment for both of us has left a bad taste in our mouth won't use again when I can get more for our money in tesco!”

“Absolutely shocking, ordered flowers for a birthday gift, says next day on website, but wasn't delivered till the following day, the company says check small print, if you live in Scotland they won't deliver on time. Will never use again.”

“I received a bouquet of roses, alstroemerias and chrysanthemums. On the day of delivery, they looked very nice although a couple of the roses had already begun to turn brown and the remainder were drooping. Within a few days all the roses had died and the alstroemerias had, quite unusually for this flower, begun to lose petals too. The whole bouquet was past its best very quickly, within the week. I don't think serenata flowers offers value for money because the quality of flowers is so poor. I wouldn't use them myself or recommend them to others. The flowers fall far below the standard that I would like to send a a gift and other companies do it so much better.”

“Please take note - when ordering flowers from Serenata they are boxed up and sent via Yodel, not via a local florist. I ordered my wife some flowers and found the they can be delivered any time up to 9:00PM! In fact, when contacting Yodel the delivery time is between 12:00 and 9:00pm. I've been back through the order process online and cannot find any notice about this time slot. My wife has left work without flowers. Yodel state that "If you are out we will leave your parcel with a neighbour, or in a dry, safe place out of public view.". Good luck in Manchester City Centre. I've been in touch with Serenata and they've advised that I agreed to the delivery slot in the terms and conditions, don't you love small print. I can't imagine that they'll agree to my request to make this time slot clear on the web site.... Be careful!”
