On March 27,2025, I bought online a voucher nr 48901866 to rental car on HOLIDAYCARS.COM with insurance no risk warranty plus. On August 7, 2025, we had a reservation SC5c9e477d voucher 48901866 with pickup at 11:00 AM. We had to wait several hours, and the supplier of Holiday cars, Surprice Mobility Athens staff told us that the booked car wasn't ready. They only delivered the car to us in the afternoon after 2:00 PM, an unacceptable delay. We lost the entire day and the scheduled events. Furthermore, they forced us to purchase additional insurance at a cost of €375, otherwise they won't give us the car, they didn't give us any choice. (Even though we had already purchased comprehensive insurance online, this was because they were making a fuss about the debit card for the excess.) We had never received such treatment and poor service. We request a refund of €375. Surprice Mobility is the worst company in the world

Absolute robbers the women at the front came strait out with an attitude and made out that there was a scratch on the back left tyre even though we had only drove the car to the airport and back with a few trips to the supermarket in between on the right side of the road. This was the only tyre that we didn’t take a photo of. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY THEY WILL MAKE YOU PAY OVER £650 FOR A SMALL SCRATCH THAT WAS THERE BEFORE YOU RENTED IT. Moreover she tried to make out that the car was full of petrol but luckily we took a photo of the filthy cars petrol gage beforehand. Very dissatisfied and has been a tremendous waste of money and time as the service was very slow in between renting and dropping off. Please save your money and don’t rent off this car rental.

The Tampa Bay experience was horrible. Went through Expedia so had no idea who we were set up with. Had no idea we would have to be shuttled offsite. The initial driver was rude and unfriendly with us but was friendly and talkative to the other riders I assume because we were white and didn’t speak Spanish is why we were treated poorly! They charged us $20 a day for tolls when we didn’t use any roads that were tolls. They charged for insane insurance. The car sounded like it was going to explode and we were concerned if we would get stranded. The only thing positive was no crowds.

I’m extremely dissatisfied with Surprise car rental in Olbia, Sardinia. The staff there were arrogant, unprofessional, and openly dishonest. They told me (and others I saw at the office) that our driving licenses or credit cards were “not acceptable” for the rental—even though everything was in order. Then, they conveniently offered a “solution”: pay DOUBLE the original price to get the car anyway. It’s a scam—a clear strategy to trick travelers into paying more at the last minute when they’re stuck and desperate. I strongly recommend avoiding this company. Don’t fall into their trap. There are plenty of more honest and reliable rental services out there. 0/10

SurPrice /HDC Rent A Car is a bait and switch scam. I booked a rental through Expedia at Tampa Airport. They advertise low prices so they get bookings through travel brokers. Then when we got to their off-site location, they demanded insurance paperwork no one carries with them, and would nott accept our deductible. We canceled and went back to the airport. Now I'm trying to get SurPrice to issue a refund. This was my experience in Tampa, but I'm seeing similar awful reviews for this company in Europe, so it's not just one bad office. Their entire business model is to force you to purchase high-priced insurance.

The rental office Surprice is not trustworthy. Upon arrival the rental office had directly claimed that our VISA cards were numberless and therefore we had to pay an additional full coverage insurance of 600 EUR to pick up the car. As we denied they left us in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night with our 7 years old daughter. Numberless VISA cards are issued by all big bank today and are a payment standard. They use this excuse to threaten the customers to contract an additional insurance which is way more expensive than the car rental. This is unacceptable.

I gave 1 star just because there is no zero! So unprofessional. Everything is wrong about them. First, it is not at the airport as they describe it and they were super late at the pick up. Second, they will try to overcharge you even for things that optional. Third, they will tell that they don’t take your insurance and pressure you to buy theirs because you will need one. Forth: super rude I don’t recommend anyone to rent from them.

I was given a faulty vehicle and am still fighting with their 'customer service' team for a refund, despite this being promised months ago. The vehicle I got had a defective tyre. I called the office and they said if I replaced it, they would compensate me. I went to a tyre place, got a quote and because it was not an exact match, checked with them. They wanted an exact match but I explained they didn't have one, but as the car had 3 other mixed tyres then I could get one of those. Anyway, upon returning the car they tried it on again trying to blame me for damage I had a picture of upon pick up, and grudgingly agreed to refund the trye and said head office would be in touch. After a few weeks I followed up and it's been a run around since then with their international team. Every response is 'the accounts have your details and will process'. I wouldn't touch these clowns with a barge pole again. Just pay extra elsewhere and save yourself a lot of hassle. If you've already booked, take dozens of photos and videos and do a proper inspection before driving off.

Surprice Car Rental in Orlando, Florida gave us the worst customer service possible. We booked our vacation through Expedia. When choosing a minivan, there weren’t many options left since we booked only a month before traveling in the height of vacation season. We chose a Surprice, they were priced the same as the one other company offering a mini van at that time. When we arrived at the airport, we called the number listed for a pick up. The person on the phone said they would be at the airport to pick us up in 12 minutes. 15 minutes came and went so we called back, which is when they told us it would be at least 45 minutes because the car they had saved for us had not been returned by the previous user yet. I was annoyed at them telling us one thing and not just being honest. When I asked the guy if I should cancel, he said I could but I shouldn't because he could make me a "deal" when we got there, whatever that meant. We waited inside the airport for an hour, and called again to check in, they said someone would be there soon, and they arrived in about 10 minutes. We were driven to the rental car location, where the minivan we reserved was still not there. It was mentioned that according to the car tracker, the people using the minivan were at lunch. We went inside to at least get checked in. The guy behind the counter asked for our itinerary number through Expedia, we gave it to him and he said he needed to see the email Expedia sent, which was a hassle and he couldn't explain to us why it had to be the original, whatever, we found it. Then, he started upselling us on Toll Road packages and said we would have to pay at least $25 a day in tolls and that’s the package we should choose. I'm sorry BUT $25/ day?! We told him we had just visited Orlando in 2024 and the most we paid a day was $5. So, he set that conversation aside and asked for our car insurance information. We needed a specific declaration page, which took forever to find. A basic insurance card and breakdown of our current insurance would just not suffice. We called our insurance lady at home and she sent it over. We showed it to him and he said our insurance WAS NOT ENOUGH. We have a top tier, full coverage, no accident on our record State Farm policy. That is when my husband and I lost it. We were done being up sold on everything. We said cancel it all, we're calling an uber. These people are only in it for the money grab. A manager who was in the building must have overheard, and told the guy to give us a discounted toll road package and to allow us to use our insurance. Wow, what a surprise, we were just being duped. We gave in, in order to get my husband’s 80 year old parents and young daughter to the resort. No vehicle walk through, no apology for any of it. We were not the only people in the lobby with major issues, that was on pick up an return of the vehicle. I will never recommend using this company. Pick a reputable, well-known company that offers pick up and drop off directly at the airport. Trust me!

Would give them a zero if possible. Rented a car in Rome. Car had flat tire in Orvieto. No spare. Roadside assistance never showed up. Contacted Surprice and roadside assistance multiple times. Had to leave car with keys to catch flight home. Surprice has been trying to charge me almost $1000 for car repair and return. Still fighting the charges with my credit card company and Expedia. Shame on Expedia for including Surprice in their listings.

Did not even show up at the airport. Took an uber to the location listed on the itinerary. Sign was there. Guy was there cleaning cars. He didn’t speak much English. Called another guy that told me they were moving and I had to come to another location. I said, we had to Iber there because they didn’t pick us up. Asked if they could take us to the new location. He said no. I could take an Uber or wait an hour for him because he was busy!! Booked through Expedia! Awful!!

I was really worried when my account suddenly got restricted right after I made a withdrawal. It felt like I was stuck and couldn’t access my funds. I was panicking, but then I contacted customer support. Mrs. Mercy and her team responded quickly and handled everything professionally. Thanks to them, I was able to recover my funds and get back to trading smoothly

After trekking with the kids and luggage in Sardinia's Olbia heat for 20 minutes from the terminal to supposed office location, waiting in front of a seemingly abandoned office for another 20 minutes and then retracing our steps back to the terminal where the office was, we had to wait over an hour for the lady at the desk to deal with one customer. Then the lady refused our visa credit card, supposedly because it was not attached to a physical bank. They charged us an extra 400 Euros for insurance, despite us having already purchased an insurance independently. It was stressful, and faced with the possibility of not having a car for our holiday given it was too short notice to find an alternative, we were left with no choice. The lady made a little effort and gave us a Mini Cooper instead of an Opel Astra and offered a second driver at no cost, but this did not alleviate the stress, wasted time and additional charge which almost doubled the rental costs. All in all, we should have gone with another reputable company. The initial alluring saving was a trap to lock us in and charge us extra when we had no choice. Avoid!

After completing the booking, I was charged; however, the confirmation email came only after my pick-up time. Seeing that my confirmation email does not arrive, I started searching, and I found a contact info. After I called them, I was informed that they have absolutely no vehicles available, even though my credit card was charged. This company is operating with incredibly sketchy practices.

Told to call when arrived. No one answered for 45 minutes! When a rep finally answerd, I was told a shuttle would pick us up in 5 minutes. Still waiting 30 minutes later and no one is answering. Beware. Not worth minuscule savings. Save your time and go elesewhere.
