Terrible company

Like countless other Talk Talk Customers who were unfortunate enough to sign up to the unfathomably dreadful “service", I too received appalling broadband connection, below average broadband speeds (in my case 3.3mbps) and regular service disconnections. After contacting Talk Talk to discuss these issues I was presented with a replacement router that resolved exactly none of these issues. Talk Talk's broadband speeds really had a chance to show what they weren't capable of when two devices attempted to access the same WiFi network... Crash! However, it is Talk Talk's unashamedly abysmal customer service and shockingly rude employees that win this internet and phone provider the award for number one company to avoid at all costs. Counting down the days before I could finally break free from their torturous 12 month prison sentence, I attempted (on numerous occasions) to phone the company to inform them that I would like to switch providers................................................................ ................. .. Exactly that, the line went dead... At first I gave Talk Talk the benefit of the doubt and assumed that it was a bad connection (I mean it is Talk Talk we're dealing with here) so I called them again and lo and behold the same thing happened. Now, you know what they say about assuming things, right? Well, they certainly made an “Ass outa me"... I was hung up on six times before a “technical supervisor" would speak to me about leaving Talk Talk and even then they wouldn't actually discuss the “leaving" part. After barely audible, what I assume were “sales tactics" (or a desperate lover asking repeatedly “but why do you want to go?..."), I had managed to finally convince the “technical supervisor" that I no longer wanted to pay for a service which at best was barely provided. I was then asked to wait whilst I was to be connected to the cancellation department and after a reluctant ten minute wait I was greeted by the same advisor who then said “I will now put you through to the cancellation department". Guess what happened next........................................................................ Yep!! You guessed it, another disconnected call. Though instead of breaking my spirits Talk Talk had only made me more steadfast. I researched method after method to leaving this soul sucking corporation and of course, there is no easy way out... Sending a written letter to; TalkTalk Correspondence Dept. PO Box 675 Salford M5 0NL is a suggestion though if their telephone manner is anything to go by then I'm guessing that Talk Talk's letter box has an industrial sized shredder on the other side of it. The email address for Talk Talk; concerns@talktalkplc.com is, not surprisingly, a dedicated complaints address... Feel free to use it and tell Talk Talk exactly how you feel about their service and don't be shy... So yes, I had to pick up that phone again and delve once more, head first into the insane asylum that is the Talk Talk customer service “help" line. If only it was just “once more"... Long story short and after much more perseverance, I was finally speaking with a Talk Talk Technical Supervisor “Manager" (at least that's what I was told). She advised me to call back in two days to cancel otherwise I would incur an early exit fee. I kindly asked if she would put a note of our current conversation into their system so that when I called back in two days time I would not have to go through this recurring madness for the sixteenth time. She assured me not to worry and that all my requests will be logged and my next phone call to discuss cancellation will be simple and straightforward...... Now, do you think this was the case?... Well, that's a story for a different day... SPOILER ALERT!! It was basically Groundhog Day the movie if Groundhog Day had been based on a never ending circle of phone calls to Talk Talk requesting to cancel their service and then them hanging up. I implore anyone who has even fleetingly considering signing their hard ‘earned over' to Talk Talk's money pit pockets to deeply reconsider. You will NOT get a fluid service and you will NOT be able to cancel their service without severe difficulty and countless hours of stress and endless perseverance. No, No, No!!! Just don't do it!!! Not even if they are ridiculously cheap or offering cashback!! THEY ARE A DISGUSTINGLY POOR PHONE LINE & BROADBAND PROVIDER!! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!! THEY CARE ONLY FOR MONEY, THEIR OWN GAIN & PROFIT!! THEY WILL SIGN YOU UP, BILL YOU & NEVER LET YOU GO!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED... Had Dante endured the ultimate displeasure of even three minutes dealing with a Talk Talk Technical Supervisor the “Inferno" poem he penned hundreds of years ago would certainly depict a far worse hell. Abandon hope all ye who enter into a contract with Talk Talk. You have been given more than fair warning...

Avoid Talk Talk worse customer service experience I have had with any supplier and still seem to get a feeling it is my fault when I talk to them on the phone. When I firsts started with talk talk it was fine but we moved home this is where the ongoing issue started. I decided to negated 1 weeks of wifi to make sure we were up and running in the new home ASAP. So actually got engineer booked the day of the move great, he turned up 3rd party and connected me or so I believed various message saying job complete I be up and running shortly. 24 hours come and goes and nothing no message so I contact them and to cut a long story short 2 weeks of phone calls various different stories that it will be up and running in 4 days to 4 weeks. No communication and then suddenly a message your wifi is up and running after 2 weeks. To date for my 2 weeks of phone calls and lack of wifi I get a £25 payment which doesn't even cover the cost of additional mobile data used. Ask for a letter of apology which I received yesterday 2 lines of writing no review or what had happened or feedback. AVOID go elsewhere

I have just left TalkTalk due to fraud. Please contact Ofcom on 0300 123 3333. Their you can submit a complaint, they don't deal with individual complaints, but you raising your concerns can lead to industry monitoring and they will take action if need be. You can also be informed of your rights with regards to exiting your contract, compensation for loss of service and so on. Please report so change can happen.

Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. Shocking customer service and they truly could not care less. Tried to join and they cancelled my activation date 3 times without telling me. It was only when I would call to chase it up that they would let me know and then claim 'technical difficulties'. They have never been able to tell me what these technical difficulties are. At this point I have been without internet and a phone line for 2 weeks and I am now looking at another 2 weeks before I get anywhere. I run a business from home and this has cost me hundreds of pounds. I am beyond disgusted.

Awful service. Have now been without email for 8 days and still no sign that this is to be rectified. Kept being told that there will be 72 hours before a technician will contact me. Now told after second 72 hours that it may be 5 days!! Remonstrated severely so that I now have to wait by the phone for the next 5 hours for a possible call. Noted that the company is keeping up to its record as being the worst isp provider. No complaint about the agent in Manilla, he did his best

01482456270 talktalk_ceo@mailgb.custhelp.com Shocking service and customer service even worse, I had nothing but hassle and it was draining and annoying speaking to none English speakers and even asking to be put through to a UK base office they would help well for those having to go through what I've gone through here is a UK base number and email address 01482456270 talktalk_ceo@mailgb.custhelp.com, I only spoke to these when my complaint I wanted to take things further and this number deals with that, also if you fighting compensation with talktalk take them as far as you can goto CISAS, for every complaint that goes to CISAS it cost talktalk over£300 and if you believe your entitled to compensation then take them all the way, even ask for copies of your account notes and even recordings of your phone calls, I do not trust this company one bit and will never go with a cheaper broadband provider again talktalk deserve to have the worse reviews going there are obviously not doing this correct

Absolutely appalling service - Took over a week, and numerous phone calls, emails and messages to secure a router. Company was slow to respond to queries and information provided misleading and inaccurate. Lodged a complaint and Talktalk expected me to ring them to resolve it! Deeply regret having chosen them.

My broadband speed reduced without reason and l couldnt do anything . I contacted talk money grabbing department and they told me theyvhad detected a problem. They said they could fix it straight away. They said l needed to upgrade to fibrevand tried to force a 18month contract on me. I asked several times what the problem was and all l wanted was the download speed l wanted. They refused to tell me the problem. I kept at them and things got heated...heated as a direct cirumstance caused by them! I told them l was contacting the ombusman and taking complaint all the way. Then they said ok...lets now try and find whats wrong with your speed!!!!???? I asked why did you not do that in first place like you said you did,l never got answer! In short and to sum up..they attempted to forceca contract upon me by faking a problem!!! I never let it rest and demanded answers...l got none. And AMAZINGLY enough a few hours later my broadband was working as it did when it was put in! I have no time for liars or foreign contact centres forcing people to part with hard earned money and they get a bonus for doing it! Big shame on you talk talk...or liar liar. I left it now with ombusman. Dont use talk talk!

What a joke they are. You get 18mbits for the first 6 months as they promised, then they reduce your speed by 1mbit every month until you're down to 10mbits. When you call, they claim that it's the router, or the dsl filter or solar flares causing the speed drop, total lies. So after 3 hours talking to them over 3 weeks, they finally said sending out a new router would "solve the issue". So the new router arrived and bingo the speed is back to 16mbits...but oh...here's the thing - it's also back up to 16mbits with the old router too. so they blamed the router and then quietly changed a server setting to give me back the 6 mbits they had taken away. Nefarious methods indeed!

I first posted on here 5 months ago and have still not resolved issues with Talk Talk. They refuse to acknowledge my phonecall with Shirley on 31st March when at the end of a conversation that went over an hour, I said I do not trust Talk Talk, I am not proceeding and I am within the time limit/cooling off period. Once the cooling off period had finished Shirley (now calling herself Cora) phoned back saying they could bill me until 2020. Talk Talk ignored my requests for all mattes to be dealt with by post, until June When I received two letters within one day of each other,k one asking for Data Protection info and the other stating as I had not responded they were setting agents on to me. Within 3 days I received a letter from Moorcroft Debt Collection Agency. As I had already reserved my position against Talk Talk I informed Moorcroft of this and reserved my position against them also. Moorcroft then wrote saying they were not acting for Talk Talk and I should deal directly with them. I have now received a letter from the CEOs office again denying the conversation of 31st March etc and opffering £30 compensation which would leave me with £76 to pay for a service hey cut off in early April on a contract I had cancelled all within permitted time limits. Intimidation and fraud. I am taking matters further and have requested details of the March 31st conversation, saying that if the end is missing altered or changed in any way I will be taking this further. This is fraud on a big scale, it may be only £100 here, £200 there but multiply this by tens of thousands and you begin to see the scale of it. Unless they acknowledge that conversation I will consider reporting them to the Police. Has anyone else done so? Quite frankly the lies, the stress, and the time I have spent so far, they should be compensating me bigtime. I cannot let this matter go as it's not just me but so many others out there. I think people pay up just to make the matter go away, but I will not - they basically demand money they are not entitled to with menaces

Awful customer services, (all offshore) and the agents REFUSE TO DEVIATE from the script no matter what. Billing and accounts don't listen and the text messaging service is frankly useless. Expect to be on the phone for a long time, repeating yourself a lot and getting nothing sorted.

Customer Service that just won’t listen and think you are wrong. I upgraded to fibre broadband 70mbs and used their chat to get a status - Their CS kept saying I was wrong and never upgraded even though I offered them multiple times to forward them my upgrade confirmation email. After being forwarded tip their tech team who again thought I was an idiot, I called to be told the same thing. After 2h, finally their manager found there was an issue with their system which didn’t processed the order through and they would transfer me to a service that would rectify it. This service needed to read through the T&C for 20mn. Told them I already read them when I purchased the upgrade online but nooooooo... She had to read everything like a robot. Total of 2h20 I will never get back. Wanted to cancel my contract but would have to go through that army of useless robots again, so I will switch as my contract ends. Would NOT recommend to anyone!

Terrible internet, terrible connection and speeds, the absolute worst customer service imaginable, problem after problem with them. Nothing more than liars and rip off merchants, no one seems to know what their job is or how the company operates, different stories from different people. Avoid like the plague, one of the worst companies ive ever dealt with. Dont waste your time.
