READ BEFORE SIGNING UP TO TALKTALK. If I could give minus stars I would. I signed up to an 18 month contract in October 2022. All was fine until my router suddenly decided to stop working on 29/12/23. I contacted TalkTalk and after going through the standard protocol with the person on the phone, they sent an engineer out the following day after realising that they could not fix the fault from their end. The following day as promised an engineer arrived, I was told that it was 100% TalkTalk equipment which was at fault and that my router was not only incredibly old, but not compatible with my openreach box, I had a black box but I should of had a white box and it was surprising it had lasted as long as it did. The engineer told me to contact customer services with in the hour to report the problem again, and that he would also report the problem, a new box would be sent and that would be all that was required. I done as he ask and contacted TalkTalk an hour later, and after a lengthy discussion I was told that no engineer had made a report and to call back at 4pm (4 hours later). I done as suggested and called back at 4pm to be told again that no report had been made. I asked to cancel my contract and was put through to the cancellation team to be met with an incredibly rude woman who told me I had to pay £95 to cancel my contract, the call ended with me hanging up after several attempts at try to get a word in, this was very frustrating. The following day I tried to call back, but because my number had been assigned to a complaint, my call was being instantly diverted to the complaints team which sent me straight to a voicemail. I left several voicemails over the course of 3 days and decided it was time to contact the CEO. I received a text to tell me that someone would call me on a certain day and time, but I did not get a call when they said they would call. At this point I contacted ripoff Britain and Martin Lewis and copied them into the emails. Funnily enough they called back the following morning. I spoke to a member of staff called Mo who appeared very helpful at the time, by this point I’d gone 2 weeks without internet, I purchased a dongle from EE for £80, paid my £30 TalTalk bill and have made a total of £150 worth of top ups to my dongle so that my home could supply 3 of us some internet. Mo said he would compensate me £111 which was disappointing but by this point I ran out of fight in me, and agreed to that amount if a box could be sent out immediately. This was agreed and I got my new router the following day “yippee” and Mo said to contact him on his personal email if I have any problems …. After 2 days the router stopped working because a black router was sent, not a white one. I emailed Mo to be ignored. I called TalkTalk and had to sit through an hour of checks even though I knew the router was broken and the lady said she’d send me a box out immediately, I gave it another 5 days and no router, so I emailed Mo again to which he phoned me, said it must be my home which is the problem, although it was confirmed by an engineer that TalkTalk sent out that it was not my home, it was the equipment, he reluctantly said he’d send me out another router, but we are now on the 13/2/24 and I still have had no router. I have sent another 4 emails to the CEO, been told I’d be called on 3 separate occasions, yet I have not received any calls. I called them again on 12/2/24 and was told that someone tried to call me which they did not, and was told that someone would call me today between 2pm and 4pm, it is now 4pm as I am typing this message. The customer service has been hideous and I’d avoid this company if I were you. I am currently in a situation now where TalkTalk are holding my line so I can’t get internet from any other company, I’m using a dongle to provide a home of 3 internet, and I am being ignored by TalkTalk. I have now started a small claims process and I will fight for compensation for the stress that they have caused me.

Terrible company never again I was only with them 1 month.Router packed up trying to talk to a customer advisor in South AFRICA like trying to platt fog.No Internet for two weeks changed to BT..And got charged £188 pounds for doing so..criminal fraudulent company joke.

Had the Internet connection buffering and going down despite having a booster in place. Sold my house so rang to cancel the service as going to be staying with family until new house sale goes through. Kept on hold spent hours explaining the situation and being told that I would have to give them 30 days notice to cancel my account! Told them I didn't know the date my sale was going through 30 days ago! Still wouldn't listen. Tried to get me to keep my account until the new occupiers decided to connect to the Internet! Said no I wanted to close my account straight away! Still received emails phone calls asking me why I was closing my account the next day. Had to explain everything again after waiting ages to get through. January they send me a final demand for £27.34 for November and when I tried to pay added another £12.50 late payment fee! Rang them to make a payment took 18 minutes just to get through to someone who could take my payment. Upside is he knocked off the extra £12.50. I will never ever deal with this company again.

Rubish customer service, all lies, fake promises, been trying to solve my issue for two weeks , didn’t get sorted, everyday had to spent 2 hours on chat to be able to discuss and explain the situation but they transfer to a different department and never get sorted, i asked manager to call back they gave me 24 hours to call, but now its 5 days never get any call, i called again and asked for the manager, i have been told manager will definitely call but after another day i never received any call, sent email to make a complain, they said someone will contact me but after a week still waiting for the reply, never ever going to be a talk talk customer again, never recommend

Thieving company! Would give minus 5 stars what this company has done to me. I signed up for broadband in 2016, they took my direct debit without providing service. After many emails and phone calls and still no service I stopped the direct debit. They received £125 of free money from me, I received nothing. Only after I stopped their money did they try to contact me. After getting no response, they handed over what I guess they thought was my debt to a debt collection company and have been hounding me for years. I was given a CCJ, a court order and now in 2024 a bailiff notice. Thieving, robbing, horrible people. Take your money to sky, they gave immediate broadband with zero fuss. I can honestly say I HATE talktalk.

The service is absolute rubbish, signal cuts out every few minutes, sometimes for often. Just a heads up of how bad it is, I am currently writing this review on my phone, using my data because I can't get anything done on my laptop rn. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID!!!!!!

Had full fibre broadband installed on 13/11/2023 with the promise of a £25 Amazon voucher after 45 days . Contacted their voucher provider with no joy despite several attempts. Contacted talk talk and spent over an hour on phone with no luck and getting passed from pillar to post despite asking for a manager and being told he wasn’t. Have given up with voucher and am fed up paying £10 a month more than sky or vodaphone for an APPALLING service NO customer service and failure to honour their contract

Stopped itvx so new box required. New box came. Record facility no long available. 45 minutes on phone with women with me asking how I get my old remote to let me record not having been told no longer available when arranging new box. Now £60 a year to not get ads on Itvx. No chance to record to remove ads. No chance to record films for a later date. Talktalk work very hard to maintain a 1.1 out of 5 service. Congratulations to them. Somebody's earning their bonus. CHARLATANS

I have tried to cancel my account (out of contract) the hassle and struggle to do it is horrendous. have spent on the phone over 90 minutes being thrown around like a ball from department to department, with each asking you the same questions. till i got to a dead end "you're caller number 5" for over 20 minutes and just hung up. then tried my luck on the life chat. after 45 minutes ohh you can't actually cancel it on here we will call you at some stage.

Such a poor customer service still sending me bills when I switched provider as my contract ran out but still paid the next month in advance as they charge you in advance but had internet for only 10 days . I’ve been with my new provider since September 2023 but some how I owe TalkTalk £200 these thief's

For anyone who is thinking of taking up the offer of Fibre To The Premises - let me share my experience of incompetence and unacceptable customer support from Talktalk. In November 2023 I signed up to Talktalk full fibre 150 with VoIP - The initial, agreed, FTTP installation had to be rescheduled due to TT failing to dispatch the necessary new router in time. On the new day of installation, it was discovered that TT had not included the Digital Voice Adaptor, which is needed to provide access to VoIP for my house telephone. TT assured me that one would be expedited - it took 5 days to arrive, during which, we had no home telephone connection. After two days of good Internet, and telephone operation, our telephone connection developed a fault - we could neither make nor receive calls. Throught December 23, I spent numerous (unsuccess) frustrating hours on online text chat, and telephone conversations, with different TT support staff members, with promises to log the ongoing fault for further investigation. I was promised follow up calls, from Managers, and a new router - none of which ever materialised. The TT staff I interfaced with were polite and friendly - but, incompetent. Because when I finally connected to someone who knew what they were doing, the problem was fixed within minutes. Bottom line is - we were without a telephone for much of December 23. I have been a Talk talk customer for several years - but, this experience has left me totally disenchanted with them.

Always on hold waiting to be put through to yet another department who then put you through to another department who still don't listen who put you through to another department before you know it you have been on the phone for an hour and the problem has still not been resolved

Absolutely awful company to deal with call centers just awful no understanding what's so ever with people with sight problems having to ring every week as phone line not working,just to be told something different everyweek, and have to go through the same questions so frustrating, stay away from this company

They put iñ new wifi but left home phone disconnected and I'm I'll very much so with cancer etc and it's cost me over £3000 as I stay clear of these charlatans I'm going to take them to court as I recorded all there rude pathetic phone calls p.burne

Full fibre was installed in October but it only worked for a few hours. We were left without a service for 7 days. Last week the service would not work again, we are now on day 6 with no phone or broadband. An engineer came out said he was on light duties so could not fix the problem and that someone would be coming that day we waited in 3 days no one called. We have contacted Talk Talk via customer services, by text and on-line they are no hope and to be honest really do not seem to care.

Poor service. 7 years was talktalk internet at home. There were almost always problems! Such as the internet disappearing. Today the Internet connection sends 1mb and uploads 200kb. When I called them they asked for details, I couldn't provide them because I couldn't find the paper and they didn't even try! They said that you can't prove that you live there, so we can't help anyone... Then who needed the money? I boldly terminate the contract with them, fed up. Of course they will still ask for £143 to terminate the contract, even though there is no internet. Advice don't even try!
