THE ABSOLUTELY WORST INTERNET COMPANY IN THE WORLD!!! I usually never do this but after the experience that i had with this absolute joke of a company i have no choice but to warn everyone who's thinking about joining. I joined TalkTalk because sadly that was the only option i had at the time due to me moving in to a new build property which has the absolute worst connection issues. Plus, £17.99 a month wasn't a bad deal so what could go wrong? First 6 months the WiFi was fine, not the best but no complaints. After another 6 months went by, the connection started to get funny so because of this i requested for a TalkTalk engineer to come and check out the problem. They went through the terms and conditions and explained that somebody would have to be at home and if nobody is then TalkTalk would charge me. I understood fully and made sure my wife was at home that day because i had a shift at work that day. The engineer arrived and checked everything and said that TalkTalk will get back to us with an update. That very night i received a message from TalkTalk telling me that everything is fine and that there was nothing else needed to be done on my side. Now knowing the reputation of TalkTalk i decided to contact them and confirm that everything was fine and i wouldn't be charged for anything since the engineer successfully done his job. They assured me that i would not be charged for anything and i can resume using the internet as usual. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and left it that. Notice by the way, how 'I' as a customer went out of my way to make sure that 'THEY' don't make a mistake. On billing day, you wont believe it, they went ahead and charged me the amount that they would have charged if nobody was at home 😡😡😡 i called TalkTalk's customer crappy service and asked what the hell they are playing at. After passing me around to 4 different departments i finally got through to a manager who i explained everything to and guess what he said?....... 'It' s your fault for not checking your monthly statement' 😲😲😲😲 can you believe this guy? I blasted him and told him how dare he blame the customer especially since i made all the effort to make sure that they don't overcharge me. Now they refunded me which is fine but what they didn't realise is that I'm a student and live on a very tight budget, so therefore, i went in to an overdraft because of there stupid and careless mistake. When i called them and explained that they would have to pay the bank charges as well since NatWest charge £6 a day for being on overdraft and TalkTalk refunded me 2 weeks later, so the charges built up quite a bit. After a ton of transfers from department to department i decided to give up since i knew i wasn't going to get anything out of these useless buggers. I would just remain patient until my contract comes to an end and i would leave. But, can you believe that I'm having to suffer because of an Internet company 😭😭 1 month before my contract ends i called up CrapTalk's customer service to let them know that I'm going to leave and that they should cancel my contract as soon as my last month is up, again, they assured me that they would do that but guess what?...... Yep, that's right, they didn't cancel the account! A month later i see on my bank statement that these guys have charged me the original price of the internet which i think was about £35.99. I couldn't believe it 😳 how can this company be this damn stupid? Just how? How is this company still running when they cant even cancel a damn contract. I called them up again and explained that I'm absolutely livid and cant believe they didn't cancel my contract. The agent tells me that apparently nobody had cancelled my account and that there was no info on me requesting to cancel 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 At this point i just started laughing hysterically, i told them that they record there calls with customers so all they had to do was go through the call chat and listen for themselves. They put me on hold for 15 mins and then came back and said that they apparently couldn't access the call (LIARS) but they appologise for the mistake and will not charge me and end our relationship on that. I requested for them to send me an email to confirm that my account was cancelled but guess what, they are apparently not allowed to do that 🙄🙄 typical, you can charge people for nothing but cant send a simple email 🤣🤣🤣 Sick people 2 months later, i now have debt collectors sent by TalkTalk to recover £35 for a service i haven't even used in 2 months 🤣🤣🤣 You cant make this stuff up folks. JUST SO YOU KNOW TALKTALK, IM NOT PAYING YOU JACK! I WANT THIS CASE TO GO TO COURT SO I CAN SUE YOU FOR ALL THIS DISTRESS THAT YOU'VE CAUSED ME. I WILL FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE MAKE SURE THAT NOBODY I LOVE WILL EVER JOIN YOUR DISGRACEFUL COMPANY. SEE YOU IN COURT!!!

So I tried to cancel their broadband because I've moved. I've done this before with Sky, BT and Now TV who just cancelled it at my request straight away. Then here comes TalkTalk. Called yesterday to cancel, told me their system was down so nothing could be put through. Rude customer service who barely understood anything and sounded like he just wanted to school me. Changed to live chat today. First person kicked the ball down the line to Loyalty department. The guy in Loyalty department tried so hard to sell me new contract like his life depends on it. Not me, okay, how about your friends? your families? your landlord? the new tenants coming to my old place? (like I know them?) blahblahblah. Well how about my dog or the random screaming seagulls on my roof? When he finally realised it's over by kicking the ball down to Retention Department. It took them another 20 minutes just to come back saying their system was still down and the only thing they can do is to arrange a call back when their system is back up?? Then it comes the 30 day notice period, never clearly stated when signing up but hiding in the middle of a 17-page long T&C. Never ever had such problems with any of my previous suppliers. Okay I'll give you this one. My bad for not treating your mighty company as a potential scammer and scrutinise every word you put out there and gave up when I had the chance. Not to mention that their broadband was not great either and do bear with them if you found your internet down every other week The way they try to retain customers is an absolute disgrace. Never ever again and I'll make sure my experience is shared with as many people as possible.

I did a distant contract with this company and few day after the technician came to fix the broadband we realised that we didn't have home phone service. I looked for the customer service number in all the emails received and in any of it was the customer service number; after all my daughter came to visit me and she provided me with the number. It was before the 14 day cooling off time and I was so upset that I wanted to end the contract straight away because the internet as well was very unstable. it happened that when I expressed my desire in the other side of the line they customer adviser threaten me with charge me already with early leaving bill. From that they, their customer service team just tried to avoid attend my petition to leave them till my cooling time run out and at the end I to paid them what they wanted. IS A VERY BAD COMPANY TO MAY DEALS WITH. I DON'T RECOMEND TO ANYONE NEW TO JOIN THEM.

Attention!! Don't buy talk talk. It's fraud company. Grab money for really bad connection. Guaranteed is 35 mb but in test is just 10mb. If you try contact with costumer services you don't have responding. Engineer which one should be come in 2-3 days never be come. The best idea it's stop pay for contract because talk talk never respected what is in guaranteed. Switch for different broadband company. Talk talk in my opinion its Scammers!! Zero stars!!

If I could give no stars I would. Worst customers service I have ever seen! I called up because I am moving out of a rental property this month but the house I am buying is being delayed so I am moving back to my parents for a month or so. They told me I could suspend/have a payment holiday on my account for 3 months and I just simply re instate my account when I get to my new address, all great! I was then told I would be put through to another team to finalise this, just take a few details from me. Well.... 2 hours later I am still no further along. I had to hang up in the end because I couldn't take being passed to another person again and having to explain my situation again and again. I am then told that I was given false information and that they don't offer this service. I then said OK fine I will cancel my account but I will NOT pay a fee to do so. I was then told that the cancellation teams system was down so could I ring back in 2 hours. They are a complete and utter joke of a company and they have no idea what they are doing, they are so useless! I will cancel with them and I will NEVER go back to them. I would rather pay 4 times the amount of money for my broadband than go with them again! only did it because they were the cheapest... explains a lot! Avoid like COVID !!!

DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. They do not do things legitimately. We have cancelled our account with them as first of all they lied to us when we signed up saying that they will offer us all the Asian channels as part of their TV package. When we signed up we were only given 4 channels. That's it. We then called to cancel and went to Sky who offer over 60 asian channels and we were told there would be now no further charges as we had paid up to date for our usage which incidentally was £41 for only 22 days including engineer visit. A month later we then received a further bill by email ( they do not send anything in the post) for £25 and a month after a bill for £37. NOW when you ring to complain and question this they only have call centre agents in South Africa and the Philippines. These people first of all do not speak English well which immediately becomes an instant drawback but on top of this you are unable to register a complaint because they will not escalate the call. From my personal experience it was clearly apparent there was no apparent process to escalate the call upwards as all they said was repeatedly "l am now going to pass you onto another department". This then led me to believe that there were no supervisor or managers on duty which probably means the agents can do whatever they want. Ask yourself this. Would you really trust these kinds of people with your personal account details and financial details??? Another thing that annoyed me was their continuous repetition of " Please bear with me" There will then be an continuous 1 minute silence and they will then just repeat the same information over and over again without even answering your question. This was extremely frustrating and off course a waste of time. We are now still awaiting a call back from them to try and resolve our issue. This company do not do things the right way. They will try and cheat you. AVOID!!

Talktalk were charging my friend £65 a month for broadband, landline and a basic TV entertainment pack with NO movies music or sport included. I had to ring up on behalf of my friend and the customer service advisor was half asleep and there was lots of background noise therefore communication was extremely difficult also the call centre as abroad and her understanding of basic English was very basic. In the end we cancelled the tv package and reduced it to £23.50 a month for broadband and landline. Its amazing how they can charge an extra £40 plus for TV channels which are mostly available on free view with a few sky entertainment channels thrown in. I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND TALKTALK TO ANYONE. I am not saying any of the others are any better but they definitely can't be any worse. Shop around and ring your current provider and DEMAND a better price because they definitely give it to you And still make a profit. Good luck.

Might as well be a scam with how they operate. Called in nearly a week ago with a fault, assured that I would be put through with an emergency 24/48 hour appointment - lie number 1. Five days later ten minutes after they are due to arrive I recieved a phone call - apparently *I* have canecelled my appointment to go to hospital. No I haven't. Another call - no my engineer is going to hospital and no one is available and they don't know when someone will be - this was lie number 2; because when pushed further they found a new person in less than half an hour. Only the cocky, arrogant engineer - Wayne - they sent out, spent his time telling me how BT engineers are useless and call center agents are useless and that the fault is with the BT line - lie number 3. Because when BT come out we learn that the issue is with the router, a router that would have been in his van at the time. So now I have to wait a further 3+ days for them to send me one in the post because they "don't have anyone available" to come and put in a two minute job that *their* engineer should have fixed. Meanwhile I'm a vulnerable person, stuck in a home where not even my TV works without internet and am expected to just continue to sit here while they charge me for each phone call, not tp mention the extra phone data I have to buy! Almost £60!!

I have been with talk talk for 2 years, I had nothing but bad customer service, in fact they don't even have customer service. My internet has been on and off for the last 6 Months and for the last 2 weeks, I am not getting any internet, after specking to 4 People at the technical support, nothing has been done, no call back. I decided to complain, I was told I can't speck to them because they don't deal with Technical problem.

My sister in law moved to live in Scotland and she asked me to find an Internet broadband service for her before she had her credit card. Everything was in her name, on her address, I just put my credit card details because she did not have any at the time. But soon her mother passed away and she had to go back to her country to take care of everything. She wasn't coming back. The Internet service wasn't even on when we tried to cancel it. It had a 15 days cancellation period without fees. Because it wasn't even on, the 15 days didn't even started. We contacted them every day, they moved us from a team to another, they disconnected us from the chat and had to do the process from the beginning and in the end they still took money from us(me) even though she didn't had any Internet. We made a complaint and we were refunded(after hours of explaining the same things over and over again), but last month they took money again from my bank account even tho we were told that because she didn't have any of the services, she doesn't have to pay and she will no longer be a client. 2 days later they refunded, but this month money is gone again. I have to change my credit card only because they are idiots!!! I've spent hours (2—3) every for 2 weeks just to explain them what the problem was. Is like talking to a wall. I could not recommend TALKTALK less!!!

I had the misfortune of taking 2 year contract with talk talk. I had nothing but problems with them, once a week for a few hours the internet would stop working, it is very difficult to speak to them, no proper customer service. My internet has not been working since Friday night, but unable to speak to them. Even when it's working I get no more than 4MB internet speed. It's been the worst internet experience. I am not even sure if they even read these feedbacks, my post code is M19 2RS.

The worst experience of dealing with a company I have ever had! They never connected me but still charged me. I tried contacting customer services but no one would answer, tried web chat but got disconnected as soon as I mentioned the word 'cancel' , in the end I found an email address off the internet and demanded to end the contract. I was still charged and hounded by a debt collection agency until I paid. Please do not sign up with this rip off company. I don't know how they get away with it!! Ps, I was recommended this company by uswitch and think they are getting a kick back for recommending them.
