“Wish I had checked reviews first. Booked a coach for 16 people. I phoned to confirm yesterday as I hadn’t heard from them after booking two weeks ago. Coach was confirmed and I was told it was all booked. This morning I got a cancellation email and I have 16 people relying on a lift from me!!!”

“BEWARE - if you cancel a taxi that you have booked, even 2-3 weeks in advance, they will still charge you 75% of the full rate.”

“SCAM COMPANY. Placed a booking request through their website and was advised by email that my job was awaiting assignment. Never received a confirmation email so called them to chase and they confirmed verbally the booking. Still no confirmation email. Waiting at the collection point, I called again to see where the car was and was advised the booking was cancelled because no drivers were available. I was advised I would receive a refund but nothing has been received. I now notice that they emailed me shortly after my final phone call stating that the customer had cancelled, which is not true because I was left waiting and only found out the car was cancelled when I called to see where it was! I note their cancellation policy states that refunds won't be issued when cancelled by the customer on the same day so can only assume this erroneous email has been sent so they can fraudulently keep hold of my funds. I will be requesting a chargeback via visa and would recommend steering clear of what appears to be a fraudulent company.”

“Awful service. Needed to book a taxi at the last minute to get to the airport in order to travel home for a funeral. Taxicode failed to answer calls to them to confirm the booking so I had to tell them I wanted to cancel my request, only for them to appoint a taxi firm at 3 in the morning!”

“DO NOT trust these guys! This company take your money and promise if they can’t fulfil your request they will let you know in plenty of time so you can make alternative arrangements. 24hours later and no confirmation we called twice and was reassured our taxis were confirmed! Our booking was cancelled by them half way through my 50th birthday party letting 14 people down in the middle of nowhere. Let’s hope our refund arrives as promised!”

“I booked a taxi on Sunday morning at 3:14 am however the booking said 3:15 pm which obviously was not going to help me, money was deducted, on phoning in at 9am to cancel to be told there will be no refund for the booking which is crazy as they had ample time to cancel. Dont use them, and if you do read through their terms and conditions for their cancellation policy, you'll never see your money again”

“Taxicode did not confirm my journey eventhough I rang them and they said it would be 24 hours before travel. 2 hours before they still had not confirmed the 8 journeys I had booked for that day - shocking service. Over a month later, they are still refusing to engage in a refund conversation for over £400. Very hard to get in contact with and currently being ignored.”

“I booked a minibus for 15 people through TaxiCode. They took my payment (nearly £500) and sent me a nice email congratulating me on my booking. But then after not receiving any kind of emailed confirmation about my minibus, or drivers contact details or anything, I called TaxiCode's office and their representative said I didn't need to worry and that I was "over-complicating things" by calling them to confirm the booking. TaxiCode then cancelled my minibus via email at 4:25 am ON THE MORNING OF THE BOOKING, meaning me and my friends couldn't go on our planned trip. They did make an immediate repayment to my card, to be fair, but I was left high and dry with no possibility of rearranging transport, which RUINED our day. What AWFUL service. You CANNOT TRUST TAXICODE - I would advise you do not ever use them.”

“I had similar experience of no refund and then quoted the distance selling regulations which allow a cooling off period for all online transactions. As this is the law they were duty bound to refund and I got my money back in full. I did this by email so it was fully traceable. Good luck”

“CON ARTISTS! PLEASE DON'T USE!!! We booked a taxi for a local firm and had to cancel. We cancelled 4 hours ahead of booking so plenty of notice. The car firm were great but said to get refunded we would have to get in touch with Taxicode. We couldn't cancel via the app or through a link on the email but had to call a phone number. We called 10 times and left messages cancelling but no one answered. This morning I was charged the full amount and still no one is answering! COMPLETE CON ARTISTS”

“Please never use!!! I’m so upset, booked a taxi several days ago for an important event and they sent and email saying that it was being booked and I would receive email in 24 prior to booking with the company and driver - I have received nothing I have phoned them 9 times they kept hanging up on me and they still said they haven’t got a driver yet and they will contact the companies and then nothing, they cannot tell me what company it is and I’m so worried about not getting collected . They said they will let me know tonight which is not what was agreed. They hung up on me and just said you will be charged if you cancel even though the booking isn’t confirmed and there is no taxi company. They said they would phone me bk in 10 minutes then just didn’t , I called and was told that there is no refunds and if there is other means of getting my money bk I should do that as it won’t be from the company. They were so rude and u professional , avoid, avoid , avoid its really distressing . I’ve never received a confirmation and yet they have taken my money”

“NOT A REAL TAXI COMPANY - SCAMMERS DO NOT USE TAXICODE - This is NOT A TAXI COMPANY but a 3rd party who simply book a local taxi for you and mark the cost up by over 200% of the company they book through. They quoted us £32 for the taxi and when we tried to book through the actual taxi company for the same ride, it was only £13 All of the positive reviews here are for the actual drivers for various taxi companies who have nothing to do with this company. We attempted to change the booking time 3 days before the booking and were told that there was a £10 fee which was when we smelled a rat. We then requested a full refund as we wished to cancel. TAXI CODE said they would only give us 10% of our money back as 'Company Policy' and 'within 'their 'terms'. When I asked the 'customer services rep' Usama Shafiq, he didn't seem to know the registered details of his company and claimed to be OPERATING OUT OF AMSTERDAM.... These guys are clearly scammers and not operating within the Consumer Rights Act. We are actually having to take legal action against them to recover our funds.”

“Taxicode let me and 13 of my friends down for a double birthday event. They cancelled the minibus at 7pm the night before, having booked it weeks in advance. They were due to take us on a return journey 11.30am the next morning to a music event. The cancellation caused much stress and expense and i would heavily reccomended you use a local, reliable taxi service than this app. It is nothing but a scam. I wish i could give them zero stars.”

“Should get "0" After Booking and paying full money,i got email,that No driver assigned and Journey not confirmed,it took me 10days to get email confirmation after several call,Driver number i just received on the day of journey,how scary it was,and it was 4.5hrs journey with uncertaininty,the moment i paid,i realised i fall in trap.driver was 2hrs late,very Robotic,i have not MPV,3luggage was booked,i could take only 1luggae and 2small hand bag ,and it was a Saloon Prius,with No AC working,Car condition was too bad,it was bad for my kids,they suffered,and journey finished at 6hrs.Driver did not helped for 1second to hold luggage,Terrible taxi service ,i will remember in life time,My suggestion,NEVER EVER BOOK TAXI CODE,IT WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE HELL,THE MOMENT YOU PAID THEM.so in summary- i have got Lots of headache and uncertainity, Driver 2hrs late ,No AC in car,bad condition Small saloon car instead of MPV 5seater which i had booked for 3luggage and Unfriendly Driver,and you will not find anybody to talk.”

“Book a taxi and details where incorrect. Advised to cancel and rebook and expect the refund within 3-5 working days. 6 weeks later still nothing and no correspondence. Absolute rip off company. SCUM BAGS!!!!”

“1 star is being generous! Absolutely terrible money grabbing company. Booked for a journey and due to the 'pending' awaiting driver assignment status I cancelled my booking quite quickly after making it. If they can take the cash right away they should have the booking 100% confirmed. Customer services is in Amsterdam and can only quote 'our terms and conditions state'. Terrible services and company.”
