“Judging by the terrible reviews one more bad review won’t affect the rating but if it stops even one person using the company it will be worth it.
I booked a taxi for the following day to get me to the train station in time to catch a train to Gatwick airport. The booking was accepted straight away but cancelled at the last minute via email! It was an early morning booking so the email came through at 4.20am! As I wasn’t given enough time to arrange another taxi to get me the station I had to pay £108 for a cab to take me straight to the airport (due to the train strikes this the train was running once every hour). Wanting compensation I called the company assigned to the booking who advised they had declined the booking straight away and to take it up with taxi code. I called taxi code three times before the manager agreed to to speak to me (as apparently he only deals with customer via email!!) He told me to email the accounts team who unsurprisingly declined my request for compensation. First time I called Taxicode and spoke to an agent they said they supplier called at the last minute and it wasn’t their fault. The following time I called they operator said they had tried their best to get a replacement service but all the other quoted they were given were too expense....so clearly the booking hadn’t been declined at the last minute.
Reading the other reviews I should be grateful I was refunded the £23 I paid upfront as others seem to be having problems getting refunds they are owed but it’s frustrating that a journey which should have cost me £38 ended up costing me £108 because of this pathetic excuse for a company.
Moral of the story is please avoid if you would like a stress free journey!!”

“Booked a taxi 2 months ago, driver was assigned and everything was fine. 3 hours before departure the drivers cancels for no reasing and it said he tried to call me but I had no missed calls. I had to call to make sure I was still getting a cab, new driver was assigned. 10 minutes before departure the 2nd driver cancelled leaving me stranded at the hotel.”
“The car wasn't big enough for the suitcases we had, despite my having written the number of suitcases we were bringing in the drop down menu. There was also no child seat despite my having phoned the night before and being promised one, subject to paying an extra £5. Therefore I had to hire and pay for another taxi to get me to Heathrow. When I asked for a refund for the £57 paid for a journey that never took place, Taxicode were polite but totally unwilling to offer me even a token recompense. The driver was polite and apologetic, but I would suggest avoiding Taxicode based on my experience. ””
“Booked paid, did not turn up! Phoned said they had cancelled by email at 12.30 pickup was 13.00. Not every one has a smart phone. This left 2 80+ with no way to get to station. Said in first emai cheaper than black cab, this is a lie I have twice done the journey for £5 less than fee quoted. I think City of London trading standards needs to take action!”
“Scam. This company took £36.50 for a pre booked 4 mile journey. I accepted the cost as live in a rural location with no other choice. The taxi didn't arrive and left us no option to walk home on an unlit lane! I called numerous times but there was no answer. I have tried to get a refund but all taxicode says is the taxi made the journey....absolute lie. In fact the company they issued the job to was based in London.....I'm closer to Bristol! SCAM....not only will you be out of pocket you risk being stranded and left on danger!”
“I pressed the link to call the cab and then the app told me my cab had arrived. Then we went outside and waited.
The driver rang me to say he was outside the venue and I told him to come to the regents building which is just behind the main building. He said yes ok I will find you.
He then cancelled the booking and I can only assume he picked up another fair and set his phone to not available because every time I rang it, it went to unavailable.
We waited in the rain for a while longer in shock but in the end rang a local taxi firm to book another car. As it was busy it took over an hour for this car to come and we had a baby sitter waiting at home.
Then to make matters worse you charged me £26.50 for this.

also the feedback on trust pilot is taken straight after you have made your booking so i doubt you can take them with any seriousness.

Do not use them, you have to book on line and do not get to speak to anyone, use GO GREEN taxis, much better service and you get to book with a person. straight forward and personal. have not been given refund as yet iwas told i wouldnt get one unless i changed my booking.”

“Pre booked with CV for a 1am pick up. Taxi didn't arrive on time. Had to get another £80 cab home. Taxi called me at 01:26 to ask where I was. I had tried to call this company many times before I decided I could be stranded, and I read to T&Cs first. So was confident I would get my money back. Taxicode have been very very bad. They have ignored my calls and refused to pay me. I work for a bank in security and have taken legal advice. I have also reported this company to Google. They will rip you off. Do not use them.”
“I called initially to see if there was an option to bring the time forward by 15 minutes, picking us up at 7.15 pm rather than 7.30 pm, just an inquiry. However, the taxi company assigned to the job said that they had no record of the booking, they even checked their other office and confirmed that they had no record and that they stopped working with Taxicode. So, I called Taxicode, you gave some excuse and said a car was on its way. Then, they said this car had broken down (I do not believe this). Then, they said another car was on its way and I'd receive a text message to confirm. I did receive a text message and the message said that an uber had been ordered but that there were no Ubers in the area. Every time I called you I was on hold for at least 10 minutes. Eventually, we had to drive to the restaurant which was disappointing as it was a special meal, my birthday and we wanted to try the tasting menu with the wine pairings. Drinking was no longer an option with the car. Terrible service and I have still not received a refund for the outbound nor return journey, which I did not take.”

DO NOT USE. This company makes in money by capturing its customers - charging for extra baggage and “luggage conflicts” as they call them.
