“Please can people report them to UK International Consumer Centre as they are based in the Netherlands. It is a quick phonecall with what happened. They have been getting away with it as they aren't based in the UK and you are passed from pillar to post but this is the correct body and I am told I have grounds for a case. “I booked through Taxi code, and needed to change the time of pick up. Over the course of several days I attempted to call them, receiving no answer, I contacted them through the web chat form and got no reply. I also contacted the Taxi provider they and organised for me, again to receive no answer despite multiple calls over several days. I evenutually got through on the day of collection, and was advised that the representative would call the taxi company providing the service to move the time forward and call me back. This again did not happen...... As I needed to get home for childcare I had to make alternative arrangements, and as their fare is not refundable this cost me £120 in lost money for a taxi I could not use as it would have been too late.”

“DO NOT USE. I put in details of my booking as per the website - it was place OR postcode. I put the door number of the road and the city (there’s only one Crow road in Glasgow) and put the Dunblane Hilton Hydro as one. Got a call that evening to say the mileage had increased as I hadn’t written a postcode (despite google maps finding these locations and the website saying OR. If I didn’t pay another £21 I’d lose 75 percent of the original money (£52). They now have the power to keep adding money on top. Absolute scum of the earth. I am contacting Citizens Advice tomorrow if anybody wants to join me.”

“I BOOKED THIS COMPANY AND PRESSED THE WRONG DATE BY MISTAKE AS I WAS A PASSENGER IN THE CAR AT THE TIME. SO I RANG AND THEY CONFIRMED THE CHANGE BY EMAIL AND CHARGED £5. WE ARE NOW 3 HOURS FROM GOING OUT IN THE CENTRE OF LONDON AND HAVE HAD AN EMAIL TO SAY THEY HAVE CANCELLED OUR BOOKING BUT.....WE CAN REBOOK THE SAME CAR FOR DOUBLE THE PRICE. HOW DISGUSTING. THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN. PLEASE BE WARNED.....DONT USE THEM.”

“It should be minus 5, not even a star. Really agree with all prior comments..... scam, and scam and scam. I have booked other web not sure taxiservice.net ... which finally link to taxicode by referring it is the group service providers. Since i have seen many negative reviews in Taxicode. then I aviod directly booking taxicode , but however, it links if you click cash it won't be continued. no response, it takes money first and confirms us later, which 99% cannot be confirmed until last minute. and charges the cancellation fee. Luckily that i can suspend the payment.”

“Scam, they took my money, taxi didn't come. Despite my emails, they lie, saying me the driver was there and blablabla .... and they don't want to send me back my 80 pounds. Shame on this company, robbers, scammers”

“Wish I had checked reviews first. Booked a coach for 16 people. I phoned to confirm yesterday as I hadn’t heard from them after booking two weeks ago. Coach was confirmed and I was told it was all booked. This morning I got a cancellation email and I have 16 people relying on a lift from me!!!”

“BEWARE - if you cancel a taxi that you have booked, even 2-3 weeks in advance, they will still charge you 75% of the full rate.”

“SCAM COMPANY. Placed a booking request through their website and was advised by email that my job was awaiting assignment. Never received a confirmation email so called them to chase and they confirmed verbally the booking. Still no confirmation email. Waiting at the collection point, I called again to see where the car was and was advised the booking was cancelled because no drivers were available. I was advised I would receive a refund but nothing has been received. I now notice that they emailed me shortly after my final phone call stating that the customer had cancelled, which is not true because I was left waiting and only found out the car was cancelled when I called to see where it was! I note their cancellation policy states that refunds won't be issued when cancelled by the customer on the same day so can only assume this erroneous email has been sent so they can fraudulently keep hold of my funds. I will be requesting a chargeback via visa and would recommend steering clear of what appears to be a fraudulent company.”

“Awful service. Needed to book a taxi at the last minute to get to the airport in order to travel home for a funeral. Taxicode failed to answer calls to them to confirm the booking so I had to tell them I wanted to cancel my request, only for them to appoint a taxi firm at 3 in the morning!”

“DO NOT trust these guys! This company take your money and promise if they can’t fulfil your request they will let you know in plenty of time so you can make alternative arrangements. 24hours later and no confirmation we called twice and was reassured our taxis were confirmed! Our booking was cancelled by them half way through my 50th birthday party letting 14 people down in the middle of nowhere. Let’s hope our refund arrives as promised!”

“I booked a taxi on Sunday morning at 3:14 am however the booking said 3:15 pm which obviously was not going to help me, money was deducted, on phoning in at 9am to cancel to be told there will be no refund for the booking which is crazy as they had ample time to cancel. Dont use them, and if you do read through their terms and conditions for their cancellation policy, you'll never see your money again”

“Taxicode did not confirm my journey eventhough I rang them and they said it would be 24 hours before travel. 2 hours before they still had not confirmed the 8 journeys I had booked for that day - shocking service. Over a month later, they are still refusing to engage in a refund conversation for over £400. Very hard to get in contact with and currently being ignored.”

“I booked a minibus for 15 people through TaxiCode. They took my payment (nearly £500) and sent me a nice email congratulating me on my booking. But then after not receiving any kind of emailed confirmation about my minibus, or drivers contact details or anything, I called TaxiCode's office and their representative said I didn't need to worry and that I was "over-complicating things" by calling them to confirm the booking. TaxiCode then cancelled my minibus via email at 4:25 am ON THE MORNING OF THE BOOKING, meaning me and my friends couldn't go on our planned trip. They did make an immediate repayment to my card, to be fair, but I was left high and dry with no possibility of rearranging transport, which RUINED our day. What AWFUL service. You CANNOT TRUST TAXICODE - I would advise you do not ever use them.”

“I had similar experience of no refund and then quoted the distance selling regulations which allow a cooling off period for all online transactions. As this is the law they were duty bound to refund and I got my money back in full. I did this by email so it was fully traceable. Good luck”

“CON ARTISTS! PLEASE DON'T USE!!! We booked a taxi for a local firm and had to cancel. We cancelled 4 hours ahead of booking so plenty of notice. The car firm were great but said to get refunded we would have to get in touch with Taxicode. We couldn't cancel via the app or through a link on the email but had to call a phone number. We called 10 times and left messages cancelling but no one answered. This morning I was charged the full amount and still no one is answering! COMPLETE CON ARTISTS”

“Please never use!!! I’m so upset, booked a taxi several days ago for an important event and they sent and email saying that it was being booked and I would receive email in 24 prior to booking with the company and driver - I have received nothing I have phoned them 9 times they kept hanging up on me and they still said they haven’t got a driver yet and they will contact the companies and then nothing, they cannot tell me what company it is and I’m so worried about not getting collected . They said they will let me know tonight which is not what was agreed. They hung up on me and just said you will be charged if you cancel even though the booking isn’t confirmed and there is no taxi company. They said they would phone me bk in 10 minutes then just didn’t , I called and was told that there is no refunds and if there is other means of getting my money bk I should do that as it won’t be from the company. They were so rude and u professional , avoid, avoid , avoid its really distressing . I’ve never received a confirmation and yet they have taken my money”
