“We had to change our Golf tour from Portugal to UK 2 weeks ago due to Covid and booked this company for Friday and Saturday - 4 trips .The day before they cancelled the Friday journey so we have tried to establish if they going to cancel the Saturday trip but they wont confirm until Friday so we have booked local Taxi but Taxicode will not refund money if we cancel the Saturday trip with them as we have found a Local company to do it. this company operates from Amsterdam according to the operator Hamesh which is fine if they were reliable DO NOT USE THE COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE LET DOWN THE DAY BEFORE , They also do not reply to emails. Hopefully they will process the refund quickly!!!!”

“I made a mistake with the date of my trip with no chance of changing it. I gave them 24 days notice of cancellation but eventually offered 25% of my payment as a refund! This is very unreasonable and money grabbing!”

“Booked a taxi. Had no secondary email confirmation as promised in the first email after taking payment of £54.50. Then cancelled so could access another taxi for a long rural journey late at night. No reply. No refund. Do not use this firm.”

“Awful awful company! No one rings you back! I also mistakenly booked a taxi for the wrong time so rang to cancel 2 minutes after making the booking and was told I couldn’t be refunded due to it being less that 24hours notice! Absolute scum bags! DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES”

“Wish I’d read these reviews before I booked. I booked a taxi to take me and my husband to the airport,I had to pay upfront but I got no confirmation. I was was worried about missing our plane and messaged a few times to get confirmation of booking,as I was given none I cancelled and booked elsewhere,I have now been given just 10% of the fee back. I’m quite disgusted will certainly not use them again. Sad to see how many other people have had a bad experience,”

“Booked a two way trip to and from Gatwick airport. Taxicode allocated GatwickRun. They never showed up on either trip and Taxicode have refused to give any money back. They are fraudsters. NEVR USE THEM.”

“Nobody to answer the phone to change a booking, the 0208 Hire Airport taxi number diverts straight to a mobile phone that is switched off. Jonathan Kettle, senior exec should probably go to prison based on all the complaints below. My own experience is not shaping up to be great so far, and I haven't even got near a taxi.”

“Same as everybody else. Cancelled with 30 minutes notice. Still waiting for a refund. I will never use them. I am going to ask my credit card company to get the money back. Don't use them!!”

“AVOID at all costs-walk before tempted to use this company. Took money, cancelled before pick up due, contacted them for refund was told a ticket being raised. Still waiting for refund after 4 weeks and now the phone never gets answered to ask where is the refund. Believe this could be a scam company from what other reviews say, all sound similar.”

“Would have given them no stars if possible. They took my money didn't provide a service and I didn't receive a refund. Total fraud ! You can't speak to anyone to resolve your issue. AVOID!!”

“I made three attempts to book taxis for a short trip. They charged more than 100 pounds in total, and did not refund me after they cancelled my booking (the policy on the website says they will refund if the cancellation is done by the system). The pre-charge process of this service is pretty awkward, and I believe they just try to grab money from customers without giving any refund if they cannot actually allocate a driver.”

“DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! Booked an paid, upon my arrival in the uk, waited for more than an hour, finally got hold of someone and then they where so rude and said they have been waiting for me, Said they will not refund my 81Pound paid to them.. They are scamming people.. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!!”

“PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They advertise that they monitor your flight and will be there when you land. In my case my flight was delayed and when I called them to advise they told me that the driver had been and I would need to re-book and pay again. Upon landing the original driver called me and said he had not been and was waiting to collect. I attempted to get a refund, however they are refusing. I would never this company again”

“Hartleywintneytaxis taxicode operation I accessed a website hartleywintneytaxis.co.uk to locate a local company to convey me from Hartley Wintney to Heathrow. This offered quotes with no indication as to supplier. I selected a satisfactory quote, and read the cancellation T&Cs which were onerous. However I proceeded to pay the sum requested. I later found I had made a small inadvertent mistake in my journey start postcode, and the postcode I input did not exist! I was not allocated a local company within, say, 5 miles of my house, but was allocated a company from Bracknell, perhaps 13 miles away. I rang up to correct my postcode error, but was told that they could not alter it, and the only refund was 10% of the amount I had paid. After discussion, my supplier was relocated to a company operating out of Heathrow. This was not the local supplier I was seeking, although the company is very reputable. I shall book direct with them when I return from Spain in September. My complaints are: 1 - The site mentioned above implies that it is a local firm to Hartley Wintney, which it is not. 2 - The cancellation provisions, clearly spelt out in a long T&Cs, are very onerous. 3 - The call centre took significant wait time to connect. 4 - They were unable to provide me with a company from the area of my journey start, thus risking traffic problems by sending someone from further away. 5 - On the 'trapping' website hartleywintneytaxis.co.uk above, no contact of address information is provided at all. The service has reasonable review from others on Trustpilot, but I do not like their business methods. I am writing off the money expended and booking a local firm direct. Read the T&Cs carefully before you make payment!!”

“Avoid. Please avoid. I have read the reviews here before making a booking, but thought I will be different. I booked for my flight to the airport, but they cancelled 3 hours before the trip and had to find another company no matter how much. I was very frustrated and made me pay more than i was planing to pay for a taxi. They took long time to issue a refund. Please avoid. I don’t know how such company is permitted to work in the UK. AVOID AVOID”
