Temu has games you play for coupons. They give you a max amount of days to play, you get points for purchases, and when you complete the game (can take a month of daily playing, requiring referring friends, etc., browsing inventory repeatedly) you get two prizes picked beforehand and two coupons. The coupons I was playing for were for 40$ off a 100 dollar purchase and 30$ off a 100 dollar purchase. Well, I'm 99.8% done with the game, and they downgrade the coupons to 5$ and 6$ coupon bundles, each coupon requiring a 100 dollar purchase. I noted this was unethical (bait and switch) behavior, and their reps "Simeon, Arevalo, Anjo, & Jom" refused to rectify the behavior. I certainly wouldn't have made purchases to earn points on that game or referred friends for such little coupons which expire in two days anyway. They need to hold to the agreed upon coupons throughout the game (per their rules), being I was close to winning and had many days (172 days) left before time expired on the game. They need to honor contracts. They claimed the coupon bundles were an upgrade, but I'd have to spend over a thousand to use each of the smaller coupons, and they expire in a day or two. The two coupons I was playing for would have only required a maximum of a two hundred dollar purchase (using both)... definitely a better deal.
Then after sitting on hold with multiple reps the supervisor (Kayla Wu) claims I started a new game today with those coupons already there?? I told her that wasn't the case, that I've been playing for a long time, & to just look at my account. It takes a long time to get to 99.8% done with the game. They changed the coupons near the end in a bait and switch manner, then insulted me by saying I just started it that way??? Not so! Either Ms. Wu didn't even look at my account, or TEMU plans on pulling this bait and switch scam on all their customers playing their games for coupons. I'm a retired state worker who is disabled, trying to live on a small retirement check, and big companies from overseas like Temu need to be held to the same guidelines as American companies or be barred from selling to Americans, period! I certainly think this company's practices are more worrisome than anything the Republicans say about Ticktock. Just an FYI to keep an eye on your coupons and file a complaint as soon as someone tries to switch them. I've already complained to the BBB in Boston Massachusetts about this behavior. Hopefully it will be resolved, otherwise, I'm done with TEMU!”
“Here we have a site that denies its customers for items not received. I ordered 6 items thru temu. Package showed up re taped back closed and I had Styrofoam pieces apparently made it look like package was in there. But 4 of my 6 items was missing. So, I immediately took pictures of the package and started a refund return procedure. I waited few days at least only find out thru my account and no email in response says I'm denied for my refund. I was mad! I'm so upset I'm considering using tipclassaction lawyers to start a class action lawsuit against temu for ripping off its customers! Oh also. I had nearly 40 in credit In my account. I requested temu to cash out my credit at the site and send me check fir my credit in temu, and after they confirmed my money I had In credit being cashed out by check to my address. They denied my money and to close my account. Temu said they don't do that and I'm sorry you are upset we don't want myself leave temu. I responded saying all I wanted first place is fix the issue, replace or refund my missing items. That's all I wanted and expected from temu is fix the issue. When they refused again that's when I mentioned maybe start lawsuit against temu for myself and others with similar orders as mine and force temu to protect its customers, and nit distrust us. We are the customers, they are the company making money. We are spending our money, if temu screws you like me, you don't have nothing! I have tried to chat for hours and not a single “person” can read the initial conversation and understand it to help. They just send bot messages that are totally irrelevant and unhelpful. It seems they have only bots and no real people. I will be suing for fraud.”
“After successfully ordering a few items from Temu I bought a camera for $75.98 on March 30, 2024. When I had received the camera I discovered the identical one at Aliexpress.com for 38.97. Reading that Temu has a price adjusting policy I wrote them a letter on April 12 asking for some price adjustment, and if no adjustment was forthcoming, that I intend to return the camera for a refund, and to buy one from Aliexprss.
To be sure, I sent Temu an email on April 15, and not receiving a reply, sent another email on April 24. I also mentioned in the correspondence that, if the difference had been $10 or 15; I would not have bothered to write, but it being almost half the price it is a different story.
As of today, May 16, 2024 I have not received a reply to any of the three mails, which indicated a very poor customer service. They got my money – never mind what the guy wrote, they probably think.
I also have read several bad reviews about the Temu refund procedure and therefore I changed my mind on returning the camera, avoiding long long waits or, possibly, never to receive a refund.
I do not recommend this company. I have uninstalled the Temu app from my tablet and have told most people I know about this experience.
Do not buy from Temu.

“I was a big fan of Temu until last week when a 'minimum spend' of $65 was imposed, without any warning.
I have placed more than 100 orders since their Australian launch. As a thank you I received an unrealistic $65 minimum spend. How $65 came about I do not know, especially when others complained their minimum spend is $30, $35, $40.
I believe new customers don't have a minimum spend. Thanks Temu for supporting your loyal, and in many cases, longstanding customers.
I contacted Temu to have limit lifted, only to experience the frustration others had complained about. Temu would not listen, refused to help and replied with standard spiel before disconnecting. I got nowhere. Their paragraph in the automated spiel "we understand your concerns ...." definition - our impersonal reply confirms we don't care and we're not removing minimum spend policy.
Their justification for minimum spend is a result of their commitment to sustainability.
In reality, Temu's minimum spend policy is a total contradiction of their sustainability commitment. Imposing a minimum spend:-
* requires purchasing more products resulting in heavier packages
* heavier cargo leads to higher fuel consumption durinģ transportation to destination
*Temu is increasing its carbon footprint due to minimum spend policy.
Imposing a minimum spend:-
* Customer has to purchase more products
* Company has to replace sold stock
* Factory has to manufacture company's stock, probably using depleting fossil fuels
*Factory will emit pollution in process of manufacture to meet company's order
*Temu has made further contribution to greenhouse emissions by imposing minimum spend policy.
Imposing a minimum spend:-
* Customer has made unwanted purchases to attain a wanted item.
* Almost all items are wrapped in plastic
* Plastics ultimately end up in landfill and burnt emitting toxic pollutants and irritants into the air.
* Temu will only augment the situation introducing their minimum spend policy.
The above are broad examples that 'don'teven scratch the surface' of sustainability.
Temu is a huge multi billion dollar platform dealing with emissions, footprints, environmental polluting and sustainability.
Why are they forcing excessive purchases, unwanted purchases and financially draining purchases to add to what they are supposedly trying to sustain?”

I pointed out I usually place 2 orders on same day or another order following day due to "there is only xx left" or "other people have this in their carts, order now so you don't miss out" or words to that affect. Therefore I lam forced to place the order because of warning.
I have never placed an order under $20 and try to keep my minimum to approx $25. My last three orders $37.84, $74.60 & $23.75.
I am so disappointed in this policy. I am left with no option but to go to their opposition.
