“Had occasion to call out AA Breakdown which came with the policy who arrived quite promptly and effectively changed the wheel of my car due to puncture. Tried to add my America based son to my policy over Christmas and was informed that this could not be done. Apparently this is endemic through the insurance trade. It would have been handy at that time to have my 49 year old son drive but his age made no affect. The last time he was in the UK did which was three years ago. I can drive on his policy when I visit the States, however, I am nervous with the change in driving on the opposite side. I am 73.”
