My tyre got flat 8.30pm on Sunday and straightway I rang aa they told me they gonna be in 20min but they didn't turn up and 1 guy rang me and he said too far for him and he swap with other guy that guy is in wrong location so he didn't turn up aswell finally 1 recovery guy came at 1.30am he take me from m40 to Warwick south service station and he left other guy came 3am he take us fro there to another services station moto services station near Bicester and that guy left us .he said other guy gonna come 6.45 to 7am. I was waiting until 8am 1 guy came and he said only 1 adult can take with him my wife and my sister was with me I fight with them I can't leave them. Finally he left us . I'm waiting for other guy .In the meantime I called you and explained about my situation from yesterday night 8.30 pm to today (Monday)morning 7am I’m in the motorway and motorway service station with my wife and my sister.Can you imagine how is hard without food and water and in this cold weather we were standing in the motorway way for 3.1/2 hrs then we they came and left us in 1 motorway then again another one came and left again in another motorway.we can’t able to sleep and I have work tomorrow and my wife has work tomorrow and my sister has work tomorrow.My daughter was stayed with my sister and I need to pick her because everyone is going to work so I have to pick her and drop her at school.But no one didn’t care about our situation. I’m paying for the insurance but I didn’t get any help from you. Can you imagine my situation.seriously we all 3 didn’t go to work on Monday and.whom I left my daughter they didn’t go to work because my daughter is 6 years old.How can they go if they leave my daughter at home means what will happen.Seriously I didn’t expect this from you.one of your colleague said she gonna give 50£ compensation for me .Do you think 50£ is enough for all these struggles.we 3(me my wife and my sister)didn’t go to work on that day .and another sister who took care of my daughter was didn’t go to work.we all lost our 1 day salary plus we couldn’t able to sleep and eat properly and my wife got sick now because she stayed in thecold motorway for 3.1/2 hours and she didn’t go to work today aswell. Can you please imagine our situation

I had a non fault accident and the third party insurer (the AA) managed my repairs. I had a fire car which was good and Comms were good but it all went wrong when the car came back from their repairer, Alton Cars. Some damage hadn’t been repaired, some underbody trim hadn’t been replaced and was missing, and the car has totally failed/broken down twice in 2 weeks. It’s had to be recovered to VW twice and the AA have washed their hands of it like it’s not their problem anymore. I’ve been without a car both times. I’m currently without transport, still paying the finance on a pretty new car but have no mobility. Terrible service

I was involved in a minor accident towards the end of last year, another vehicle smashed up my drivers side wing mirror. I hit record on my phone. I have the other driver recorded acknowledging she was on the wrong side of the road yet still arguing it was my fault. I reported the accident and the AA quickly organised to have my car taken to a garage of their choice, Manning and Boyce in windsor and a hire car to be brought shortly after. Unfortunately the hire car wasnt brought up in the time given and due to the way my job works I lost my shift that day which was a great shame. The hire car company compensated me less than half a days wages. This was already getting stressful and leaving me financially out of pocket. My car only needed a new wing mirror and the garage said they were struggling to get clarifications from the AA, it took over a month I believe to get my car back. I saw it the day after it was delivered back to a family members house (work meant I couldn’t be there to receive it myself.) I am disabled, and struggle massively with physical tasks so I knew I sent my car in filthy. It was sparkling clean when it was delivered back. So sparkling it was covered in holograms and the paintwork ruined on both sides. In the sun its incredibly noticeable, absolutely horrendous in fact. I called the garage, they insisted they hadn’t touched the car apart from the wing mirrors as it wasn’t part of the work needed and they hadn’t billed for it. They said they didn’t even wash it. Other car dealers have told me it looks exactly like someone machine polished all that dirt right into the paintwork, no washing the dirt off just polishing it right in thus causing the holograms. After a back and fourth with the AA repeatedly (they kept referring back to the garage said they “didn’t do it”) and it was a struggle to get it moved forward. Eventually I spoke to an AA agent who said he was friends with the men at the garage. A week or so later I get an email stating they are throwing it out and not looking further into it as there’s no proof of damage. I had sent them pictures of the car when it came out, pictures of the car dirty at the time of the accident, and they would neither confirm or deny if they had checked the garages own cctv. At this point I requested that they send me the photos the garage took of my car before work took place. They sent me the pictures of my car, on the garages property, as filthy as I’d left it. So how did it come out sparkly and hologrammed all over? I literally have physical evidence, photographic evidence and STILL there is not enough evidence apparently. If I wanted to prove anything I was told I would have to go to another garage or dealership for an opinion and perhaps it’d be looked into further. Surely after many years of my money going to the AA, being a loyal gold member, and all the evidence I gave they would have already done this but no. As I said above, I am disabled. I give up. I do not have the energy to chase this anymore. To be told nothing happened when I literally have photographic evidence to prove it is just gaslighting, and I realised that my insurance company was not going to right this wrong. Myself and my dad (who is in his 60’s with spinal issues) did our best to try and sort out the paint/ polish by hand to much pain and aching. Surely this is what Id paid insurance for all these years for but no. On top of this my insurance was up for renewal with the AA a month after the accident. It went from about £450 to £2000! Even though I had proof it was not my fault, I was told their system couldn’t sort this. They told me it would be through them using Aviva. Aviva, when I approached them directly gave me a quote for nearer £700. I can’t remember the excuse the AA gave for the extra £1300 they would add on for using the same company. Aviva also told me they’d refund me the difference to what my insurance would have been should it be proven no fault on my part so I should get over £100 back still. I am currently waiting for the AA to notify me that I have been listed as not at fault. I had always liked the AA, but this experience has left me upset, distressed, out of pocket and untrusting. Apologies for how long this was but I felt like the details were important after I keep being told what I’m seeing and what I know, isn’t how it is.

Loved a break down at 5.34 this morning ,said would be 2 hrs ,just one text after another been delayed ,rang help line fobed off with excuse it was shift change over (thought it was a 24 hr service ) rang again said no vehicles in area eventually turned up at 11.15 ,by which I had managed to get hold of a local garage myself to come help ,membership now cancled ,and joined Green flag what a total waste of money the aa is

Logged a breakdown through the app and someone called Me back asking Me the issue with my viehcle the guy he wasn't helpfully and he delt with my query in unprofessional manner and just started arguing with with wil let others know about my experience today really bad service😬

The most unprofessional company I have ever come across. They clearly need to send their work colleagues on a customer service program!! Never in my life have I been spoke to the way they spoke to me today, calling me a liar, cancelling my AA call out!! Leaving me stranded with a car that wasn’t fit to be driven. Accusing me of saying that I wasn’t at my vehicle, questioning the flat on my car making it out as if I was lying. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour from this company . The amount of negative comments about this company is mind boggling. You should be investigated by the trading standards!! Think a phone call is definitely needed

Disgusting company who just wants money first! My car clutch broke down we called THE AA (scam AA) they asked whats wrong before asking for anything they’re kept on asking for money first then helping the issue! The driver came and did nothing at all!! He looked moody for literally no reason. On the call we asked for a recovery and he was saying I wasn’t here for a recovery so basically the lady on the phone didn’t even listen to our problem but listened well to my bank details, we waited 5 hours for nothing had to call my neighbour to pick us up! Also to this day i still haven’t got back my refund as the case was clossed FIX UP disgusting scamer

Someone hit my car early Saturday morning and used the AA's Accident Assist service to deal with this. I was promised contact from the AA either Saturday or no later than Sunday to move my issue forward. It is now Monday lunchtime and I have heard nothing. I have been on hold trying to phone them for one and a half hours, and then got cut off for no reason. I am now back on hold once again trying to get through. What a disgrace.

Report at 12 am with disabled kids in car Report staigth away to get recover 2 hours later no show got to 3 hours one mechanic took a look at car no proper checks say no recover another 2 hours wait on top get recover and drove a hour and left their from 18.00 and no recover to go home till 12.00 at night and still a hour get home and no explaining by the aa or any information texts and times and say going be 3 hours with kids with disables in car with no where for medicine or private area disgust by aa will be formally complain and leaving aa .

Six hours waiting and NOT HERE YET. I reported a breakdown today at 14:27. Its 20:16 and they havent come to my rescue yet. My car wouldnt start and Ive had to cancel work and an important appointment. Yes, I am at home ( they said I wasnt a priotity as I was at home…. But how can they decide what is an emergency or not on my behalf when I pay as everyone else ?). I understand this is not a medical emergency and Im not astray or without water or food but this has caused me a great deal of stress… and they are not here yet!

I have made an application for a car....same day, the text and the email that I was approved and someone will get in touch with me. After 2 days I call them, because nobody call me back......I gave them the details of the car ......and after 3 days I call them back, after I received the letter from Lender to go and sign the documents. When I spoke with them, they told me that everything is OK and they will send me the documents to sign and after 30 minutes I receive an email that my application was rejected..... Thank you AA workers.....you are *******!

Charged £150 plus a years membership upfront to repair my car, mechanic turned up told me he couldn't fix it because it was a Sunday and couldn't get parts, removed internal components from sealed thermostat which I've been told would invalidate the warranty. AA claims department refuse to refund my £150 single repair fee and said I need to pay D&G autocare (local garage) £200 put my own pocket to have the new part supplied and fitted and pursue warrenty claim against failed part before they'll look at it. This is after they've fobbed me off for a full month after I told them I'm in the merchant navy and was joining ship on 21st march until 23rd May. Im so upset with this experience at the end of the day they've charged me for a repair that they haven't carried out which I believe is a violation of my consumer rights

This is a live review I was stuck with my car since 1300 hr now its 0004 hr still no one has come to recover us. 2110 hr a truck came and the driver told us he cannot tow our trailer cause he does not have a correct towing kit but I told him he can leave my trailer and take my car then he told me with his driving hours could not do the trip why come if you cannot do the trip as his house is opposite direction. Then AA went to some different company which is not even AA then told me 60min I am still waiting been nearly two hours.

Ever since I joined AA I always get angry after any call with them , I think is a scam , I’ve been a member for some time now , broke down today and was told I’m too close to my house so I need to pay 84pounds just because I broke down close to my house and still pay 18 every month instead of 9 all because I broke down close to my house . The 84 is upfront they said , because of that I left the vehicle on the way home because AA won’t turn up to fix it after paying for breakdown cover and been paying every month I got nothing back . Cancelling my membership tomorrow 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 AA IS A SCAM WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE , very rude and don’t listen to you .. it’s kind of they just read the script to you and that’s that , whether u like it or not .worse scam in uk

Disgusting treatment from The AA this morning. My car is regularly serviced and my wife and I took our three young children on a day trip on Good Friday. The vehicle broke down 100+ miles from home that evening. Typically all garages are shut over the long weekend. Where I live I had to ensure the car was towed home rather than to outside any garage where it will be illegally parked and risked being impounded. To that end, we finally got home by 1am on Easter Saturday morning. Only now is my garage open to deal with my vehicle and now the AA want £100 to finish the job and tow the car the short distance up the road to the garage! OUTRAGEOUS!! If I broke down on a weekday in working hours then obviously the car could be towed straight to the garage so why am I being penalised for breaking down outside working hours on a long weekend???? Shame on them!! How is this acceptable?? How am I being unreasonable??????

I had comprehensive car cover with the AA. I trusted the name / brand and thought they would be a good insurer. I was very wrong. I had a non fault accident and they were absolutely awful. I had to chase them every step of the way. Everything was bad, the courtesy car, customer service and it took me over 5 hours of phone calls and dozens of emails to get sorted. I will never use them again.

Awful company. Purchased breakdown cover from home start, next day went onto the app reported my breakdown guy on the phone said they will be out soon 5 minutes later another call comes through different guy and he says that the call out will be £150 and that if I call again with the same problem I will still be charged £150. Not even RAC was this bad… I spent money on buying the cover I won’t be using anymore KEEP AWAY!!!!!!

After ten years with the AA after a break down your driver refused to take our vehicle home. We have both cancelled our police’s and will never use you again.Do not use this organisation at any cost they are a con.

they sent me letter about cheap car insurance for my mercedes car and i tried on line for a quote and it was for £1,878 ,66 pound my renewal with tesco car insurance is £900 pound a year

I have had an extremely bad experience with the AA on (and since) Thursday 11th January 2024 and not only have they dragged their feet to respond to numerous attempts to contact them, but they also never shown any understanding or care about the issue I have experienced. I have been a member with the AA for about 8 years now and this experience marks the end of my membership with them. Background: To cut a long story a little shorter, I (as a motorcyclist) suffered an unfixable tyre puncture, which happened after work on my way home at 5:15 pm. I was left waiting at close to freezing temperatures and was running out of places to stay warm at. I called the AA for an update at 10 pm as the goal post kept moving and was then showing after midnight for the AA to attend my incident. After I insisted that I cannot wait any longer, they dispatched immediately a third party recovery service. Why this wasn't done sooner, I do not know and I haven't had an answer from the AA either. I eventually arrived at home at midnight. I believe I am very patient and my complainted wasn't about the waiting times per se, but the disregard about their customers safety and wellbeing. My hope was for them to at least review why a motorcyclist was left waiting in the cold (~3°C) and was not considered at risk. An initial, impersonal response from the AA was a dismissive "here-is-£30,-now-we-consider-the-case-closed-and-leave-us-alone", which did not address my concerns and highlighted to me their disinterest to improve potential issues. It took a further 2(ish) months before they emailed me again suggesting that a further £20 should fix everything and still didn't show any interest or understanding of the actual issue. Just to be clear, I have not been chasing them for money, but wanted my feedback to be heard and considered for future improvements. I have tried to contact the AA so may times (phone, web chat and emails) and it is now evident to me that they clearly do not care to improve anything and have shown a complete disinterest in their customer's wellbeing. I'll take my business elsewhere and I suggest you consider it as well.
