“I have been ordering chile from Hatch Chile Store for many years now and have always been very satisfied with my green chile order. I have to say though, that this years chile was so much thicker and meatier than past years, so much easier to peel when the pepper is thick and meatier. I was kind of disappointed because for the first time I did have to throw away about 7 or 8 of my peppers because they were soft and mushy, but I don't blame the Hatch Chile Store for the damage, it has been extremely hot this year in Texas and I've always just had my chile delivered regular mail with zero issues so I blame the heat. I'm a happy customer and will continue ordering Hatch chile from you all.”

“Nice product! I order 10-25 lbs every year to roast and freeze. It is certainly worth getting expedited shipping as I had a box delivered with some over ripe, mushy peppers and the team immediately shipped enough more to cover. Thanks”

“This is my 3rd year of ordering fresh green chiles, and my second year of ordering a 25-pound box. They arrive very quickly, two days-FedEx, and even in the midwest arrive in great shape. Last year I had one or two I needed to trim off a wierd part but an acceptable loss. I purchase the medium Big Jim and Charger peppers so my family can also enjoy the flavors. Very meaty (the roaster I use is the same one sold on The Hatch Chile Store's website) so after a quick roast, they are still substantial. I paid more attention this year I believe I got 13 and a half to 14 pounds of roaster peppers out of the 25 pounds fresh. Still run the math and am a little ahead. The roaster gets work making rounds to friends and family homes to roast other vegetables and peppers as well.”

“So extremely happy!!!! Ill be back ( actually may need more this round ) next year for at least double the order ). The chilis arrived in perfect and gorgeous form. 25lbs shared between my sister and i. Roasted to perfection, vac packed and ready for all the things! Thank you!! Ps writing this as i eat a sandwich topped with your amazing hatch chili mustard. Everyone needs this in their fridge!!!”

Hi Alfonso, Thank you so much for reaching out to us regarding your order for Fresh Hatch Green Chile! I'm so sorry that you had a bad experience here. Upon pulling up your order, I noticed that you selected ground shipping. On our shipping page, we clearly state which services we guarantee for fresh chile. You opted for ground, which has a warning that it may spoil in transit. Most customers receive their chile in good condition with ground shipping, so we provide it as an option, but we give that warning about spoilage. There is also a pop-up that customers have to click through, which warns against opting for anything less than 2-Day Air if they are going to order fresh chile for shipment. The temperature in the back of a delivery truck can get up to 120-130 degrees. This causes the chile to shrivel and spoil much quicker than it does when transported in a temperature-controlled airplane. While I can't offer you a refund for this order, I CAN offer you a free replacement box if you will pay for 2-Day shipping. How does this sound? Again, I am very sorry to hear that your chile arrived spoiled. We hope that you will consider opting for a guaranteed shipping method so that you can fully enjoy the deliciousness of Fresh Hatch Chile! :) Thanks, Taylor

“I lived in Albuquerque for many years and your chile rellenos had no taste or flavor what so ever compared to what I was used to getting in Albuquerque. Was very disappointed and will not order them again.”

“Delicious chiles and great customer service. I pre-ordered 10lbs of medium green chilies before harvesting. Got emails keeping me updated. Were shipped on a Tuesday and arrived in Georgia on Thursday. Kitchen smelled amazing for a couple days until I could roast them. Nothing like Fresh Hatch chiles. You can’t get them here and I’m so glad I ordered these. Immediately made an enchilada casserole. Tasted so good!!”

“The total experience was outstanding. The Hatch Chile store responded immediately to me when I pre ordered and asked if I should expedite my shipment since I reside in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida. They advised no that how I was having peppers shipped was sufficient. The first order was so good after I roasted the first batch I ordered a second batch which has arrived and have been roasted. The heat on the second batch was substantially more which I loved so now cannot wait to make more enchiladas and Chile Relleno’s. The green Chile tortillas were amazing as well. I will be ordering more of them and cannot wait to grill burgers this week and use the Hatchup. I highly recommend The Hatch Chile store.”
