High Quality Hatch Peppers arrived on my doorstep on time and in great condition. Now I only wish I had ordered 10 pounds, given I snacked on close to a pound as I was roasting!

My order was very very late and had gone bad by the time it got here. Hatch is resending the order at no cost. Wonderful Customer Service, especially, at a time where Customer seems like a thing of the past. Great business and a quality product.

Hatch bent over backwards to resend my order after it showed up two weeks late. It was the carrier not Hatch. They contacted me and stated they would send the order again. Great response from a great business. Customer Service is NOT dead.

This review is not going to be completely fair. Our shipment of peppers arrived the evening before I went on duty for a 48-hour shift. The day I got back home I was too tired to do anything with them. I opened the box the next day, approximately 72 hours after delivery, and the peppers had almost all gone mushy. There were about a dozen peppers out of the 10-pound box that were salvageable. I roasted those and they were excellent.

Hi Jason, We don't really feel that this is a fair review either. Upon pulling up your order, I noticed that you selected ground shipping. On our shipping page, we clearly state which services we guarantee for fresh chile. You opted for ground, which has a warning that it may spoil in transit. Most customers receive their chile in good condition with ground shipping, so we provide it as an option, but we give that warning about spoilage. There is also a pop-up that customers have to click through, which warns against opting for anything less than 2-Day Air if they are going to order fresh chile for shipment. The temperature in the back of a delivery truck can get up to 120-130 degrees. This causes the chile to shrivel and spoil much quicker than it does when transported in a temperature-controlled airplane. In addition, leaving the chile in the box untouched for 3 days is not a good idea. We do clearly mark the box as perishable. While I can't offer you a refund for this order, I CAN offer you 50% off a box if you will pay for 2-Day shipping. How does this sound? Thanks, The Hatch Chile Store

The chiles are excellent, Sandia is my choice. Been getting them for many years. Never had a problem until last year with the FedX delivery. After two alerts they were out for delivery, without delivery and excuses and promises CD from FedX they were out for delivery, I finally had to drive to office and convince them they were perishable. Took them a half hour to dig them out of the truck. Obviously not air freight that I paid for. They survived, a bit shriveled, but still good. Chilie company promised a discount on next order I think, can’t find their reply. UPS is the only way to go, but not the company’s carrier.

Fantastic - shipment came in early and the hatch chili items are outstanding!! Highly recommend - we will be ordering again soon as we use the chili sauce like crazy!

Love the Chile Rellenos! We ordered the medium but they were not hot enough for our liking. The flavor and coating were excellent. I will definitely will ordering more, but will try the hot next time. Yummy!

After several excellent years of service,not so much this year 2022. Fed Ex sent our delivery to locations other than Roselle,I’ll. Eight days later after we called Fed Ex and they had taken it upon themselves to mark the carton as non deliverable. Resolution was a new delivery the following week, but did not arrive! Finally another call on Friday 7/29 and we may have another delivery scheduled for this week? We were also told another delivery fee of $30 dollars but have been notified that the fee may indeed be $56.00. Not sure when and how much this second delivery and cost may arrive? Hi Steve, Taylor VP of Operations here. It looks like FedEx damaged the package and was unable to deliver it. We will get a claim filed with them. The $30 shipping on your original order was refunded. On the reshipment the shipping was upgraded to 2-Day Air so that you would receive our freshness guarantee. The reshipment is on its way. I accidentally picked up 6 jars of salsa instead of sauce. They refuse to let me exchange them for the sauce even if the jars hadn't been opened. I'm shocked at NM business not caring. The store in Ruidoso cateres to the Texans, not NM people

Cathy, My name is Taylor Graciano, and I am VP of Operations of the Hatch Chile Store. We do not have any physical retail location; nevertheless, one in Ruidoso, hundreds of miles from Hatch, NM. This business was originally started by my grandparents, Robert and Judy Berridge, and has been expanded by my brother Preston Mitchell. My family has worked incredibly hard for generations to grow this business, and we take great pride in our work and our hometown. I do not appreciate you besmirching our name for the actions of a completely unrelated business in Ruidoso. I received the chilies in excellent condition! They are now roasted, peeled, and in the freezer. Of course I left out a few for consumption. They are beautiful and delicious!

I have ordered fresh hatch chiles 3 years in a row now. They are always fresh and smell SO good. I make a delicious tomatillo hatch chile salsa that I can to enjoy all year. I plan to order more next year!
