“This was our first time purchasing the green hatch chiles and the experience was fantastic. They came on time and the peppers were fresh and in great shape. My wife and I roasted and peeled all 10 pounds, portioned them out, and froze them. We have been incorporating them into some of our dishes, quesadillas, tacos, etc., and they are delicious. To me, their taste is noticeably different from other peppers I have tasted. I thought they would be just "another" pepper, but they were not. We like spicy so we ordered the hot ones, but we didn't find them too hot. They had a nice "bite" to them-just right. All in all, these were fantastic and I can't wait for our next 10 pounds of red hatch chiles to arrive in late summer.”

“I moved to a very remote home and saw the hatch green chiles come in season and decided to order a 5lb box. I received them today and promptly starting roasting. As I was roasting them I realized I couldn’t make neighbors jealous with the roasted chile aroma! But I will share! I’m in heaven right now! Thank you Hatch!”

“Our home is in Arizona, but we spend 5 months on the east coast east summer. My husband and I were missing the food of home and were SO excited to open our box of fresh Hatch chiles! We made Rellenos and roasted the rest for salsa and to freeze for future deliciousness! We also ordered the wonderful chile corn tortillas and some salsas and mustard. Everything is just wonderful. We will be spreading the word and ordering more in the future.”

“I ordered some green chilis and some red chilis. The green ones came and they were beautiful, fresh and large. Couldn’t be happier. I ordered red but they didn’t come. I texted to see where they were and red have a later season than green. They got back to me within a day and explained the season of different peppers well. I will definitely order from them again.”

“I love Hatch chili peppers. I ordered the medium roasted & chopped & find they are mostly mild in heat. I'm a little disappointed in the heat level. I do support small businesses & appreciate them. My first order was damaged so the company reordered. Summertime is a tough time to ship cold items.”

“I lived in New Mexico for many years and am now in Florida. Needless to say, I missed the green chile. Hatch Chile Store is an answer to my prayers. We got the already roasted and peeled this year and it has been amazing. We paid extra but well worth the money. There is a pound in a bag and we bought 5 pounds. The bags are easy to pull out of the freezer and just cut off what you need or defrost the entire bag. I also bought their chile rellanos and those amazing. This gives me a little slice of New Mexico in Florida.”

Hi Steven, It looks like we replied to your email the same day it was sent. The chile you were sent was Charger, which is sold as medium across the state of New Mexico. At the time your order shipped, we had not yet started to harvest the mild. Heat level is very subjective and varies greatly from person to person. There are instances where people feel like the Mild is far too hot or that the X-Hot has no heat. People's heat tolerance can also change over time as they eat more or less spicy foods. What you were sent was the hot, we didn't start harvesting mild until today. I spoke to the owner, and they are willing to offer you 50% off a box of chile of a higher heat level. “Best peppers ever! The excitement of knowing they have been shipped always stirs up joy in our house. They arrived up in Alaska in two days. When we opened our boxes we saw the most beautiful big fat green peppers! Every pepper was beautiful. Then came our family routine of roasting them the next day. Now our freezer is packed with peppers to see us through the cold winters of Alaska.”
