“I ordered a large box of medium Big Jim Chilis from this company. Spent hours roasting cleaning and vac sealing only to find out the chilis had zero flavor and no heat. I have been buying Hatch Chilis for around 50 years and have never experienced this. I suspect you never rotate your crops and have ruined the soil these were grown in. I was offered a 20% discount on future purchase but why take the risk, just buy elsewhere.”

Hi Michael, We are so sorry to hear about your chiles not being the heat you expected. In the 2025 Fresh Hatch Green Chile season, it was a wet season, thus causing our chiles to be less spicy. We truly apologize and if there is anything we can do for you please let us know.

“I have enjoyed the NM Hatch onions in the past. Our family is from Carlsbad an havin home grown products to enhance our Chiles is awesome. We journey most years back to NM at chile harvest time to get my sacks of green & red hatch Chiles. & too visit family. This year we can’t make the journey so ordering from the hatch Chile store will be our priory this year.”

“Great company! Everything I have bought has been WONDERFUL!! I love the chunkiness especially in The salsa. I use the salsa at least four to five times a week. The salsa is great in scrambled eggs! And I also love the big Jim All the items are so flavorful and I would recommend any of these items! Also the shipping has been wonderful. No broken jars etc.”

“I was so worried I'd be without my cherished roasted Hatch green chiles when we moved to NC. Found the Hatch Chile Store and quickly ordered. Conveniently frozen in 1 lb bags, they arrived still frozen solid. Great communication as to shipping dates. We thawed a bag at a time. I'm happy!”

“It was great andpackaged so well and so delicious I ate the green chili that day. Brought back so many memories. Hoping I can go back out there next year and eat it 10 times in a week. I'm in south so real chili relennos are not available. Just bell peppers. And that's not the same. How do I keep the chili's crispy after I cook them?? Sherry wood. Charlotte nc. Whoops too many letters”

“Love Hatch chili. They have been a life saver. I became addicted to green chili when I lived in Albuquerqe. When we moved to Floida my husband and I we would travel to NM annually to get alfalfa and 5 bushels of green chili. We had a freezer on the back of trailer with the hay. Eventually that became an unreasonable trip. I tried to switch ti canned chili's. Not the same. Then a friend NM told me about the Hatch store. Saved me. Reasonable prices, excellent quality and always the same taste I remember.”

“My son in Pennsylvania misses home. So he requested that I send him a little piece of home. I always send him the red chili and whatever other goodies I can find through hatch. It is so convenient to just put in the order and it goes directly to him. No stopping at the post office, paying extra. He loves the chili!”

“There's something freaky about Hatch green chile ... not only the incredible heat, but the flavour itself is fantastic. Unfortunately they do not ship outside of America, but I have a daughter living there who forwarded the jars of hot chile to me.”
