“My chile arrive beautifully fresh fragrant and ready to roast! 10lbs of Hatch Green hot chile now sits in my freezer waiting to be used. I did make a Chile Verde Caldillo with potato's & ground beef and it was so delicious!”

Hi George! We actually use these DC's to make our products more affordable as shipping from here in NM to the vast majority of the US would cost 30-35% more. I can ship a full truckload on a refrigerated semi for less than a dollar per case to the DC's, and still pay them to pick/pack the orders and ship ground for FAR less than shipping air from here right to a customer's door. Amazon does the same thing, taking products and storing/shipping from DC's as close to the major population centers as they can. We hope to grow enough this year to have the volume to hit minimum order thresholds to add a third location in Kansas this year to cover the middle of the country and cut down on thaws and shipping expense for our customers even further. I'm sorry you don't like this model, but we really do use it to make our chile more accessible to everyone :)

“We love the chili rellenos but have a problem with packaging/labeling. The shipping box does not show that refrigeration is necessary, so packages are not refrigerated on arrival. Our rellenos (and roasted chilies in a previous order) arrived partially thawed. All the dry ice was gone. Can you have the box labeled to show it should be refrigerated? Also I never received notice of shipping.”

“I lived in New Mexico for over 30 years before moving back to Pennsylvania. I really miss eating good Mexican food and can’t get red or green chile. I ordered some from The Hatch Chile Store. I was very impressed with how quickly I received my order and how well the jars were packed. I’m really looking forward to making some green chile chicken enchiladas!”
