This was my third year to order peppers. It was the first year I’ve been disappointed. They encourage ordering with expedited shipping. It took over 10 days to arrive and over half a dozen or more were rotten. They said they would reship ASAP. It has now been 10 days and I fear the arrival will yield the same. Ten days from NM to TX is not expedited in my opinion.

25# Order was received in a timely manner. Found about 6 chilies spoiled - paid for guaranteed fresh delivery.

Took the order without telling me it would be a week or so! However it's the best green chili in the WORLD.!!!!!

This year we ordered 25 lbs of Big Jim and 10 lbs of the hot Sandia and as usual the fruit exceeds expectation but we were disappointed in the spoilage rate on the Big Jim variety which was much higher than in previous years. The Sandia chiles arrived unfazed by the shipment.

Unfortunately, my last order did not fare well in the mail. Several peppers were spoiled so I didn’t get my money’s worth. However, this won’t stop me from reordering as this was the first time that this had happened.

Having been enjoying Chile Rellenos every day since we received out 10 pound shipment. Unfortunately we lost quite a few Chiles in shipment. The loss of Chiles and the cost of shipment makes the rellenos quite expensive. I guess that's the price one has to pay for excellent Chiles.

The good part first: the chilies were very fresh & I can’t wait to get cooking! The bad part: there were no instructions to the shipper to deliver this to my door. Instead, it was placed in a metal post box at the end of my street. They had been in that box for over 24 hours when I got the email that they had arrived. I live in Florida. Needless to say, I could have lost the entire shipment to rot in our heat & humidity. I was lucky. Please, put ship to door, not mailboxes.

The Chiles arrived just fine, but an instruction sheet on how to roast and freeze would have been helpful. I did find information online. Mine are all roasted and in the freezer... Thanks

Last year I purchased mild so this year I bought the big jim medium thinking there would be a little more kick. However it still tasted like the mild. Or maybe it's just me. So next year I will buy half & half of medium and hot. However the chiles were great when they arrived. I started roasting and peeling and cooking the same day. They were a good size and in great condition. I definitely will buy again.

I loved the preorder option because I was able to save and buy a larger amount. By getting in early I felt the chiles would be crisp and fresh. I was disappointed ithat they were wilted and by the following day those that I still had not time to finish roasting were beginning to turn. I understand the heat gets to them but sitting and waiting to pack takes it’s toll.

They arrived right on schedule. However about 10% of the chilis were damaged from what looks to be a partially crushed box. Otherwise this would have been a solid 5 star review. The rest were perfect, large is size, and big in flavor. For sure, $7 a pound is pricey for chilis, but since they are 10 times better than out store bought chilis, it'll be hard not to place another order next year.
