We ordered a Sofa and Chair that was advertised as ''Luxury Leather'' on The Range website. We paid for it but several days later we found in the small print that the sofa was actually made from 'Bonded leather' Which is known for its lack of durability and is not ''leather'' but a material made from fibers of scrap leather which are bonder together. We phoned and asked to cancel the order and obtain a refund and were told this would be OK and we would receive a refund within three to five days. This was confirmed by email in which we were told to refuse delivery if the furniture should turn up. A week or so later we had not received the refund, on phoning them we were told that because the item was ''made to order'' we could not cancel it. There is nothing on the website that states that these items are made to order. We are now in the position of having no furniture and no refund. Two points stand out to me regarding this situation one is that the item was falsely advertised as being something that it is not. Secondly that this is obviously a scam regarding the ''made to order'' get out clause where they can refuse a refund on something that is not labelled in any way on the website as a ''made to order'' item. I paid through PayPal so will be trying to obtain a refund through them. I will also be contacting trading standards in regard to the misleading description and the misuse of the distance selling laws.

Item arrived Damaged. Customer service team ridiculously slow to respond. they say you should expect a reply in 4 days and warn you that if you chase them you will go to the back of the queue. I have ordered twice from them now and both times have been a nightmare. Oh, and the order was wrong as well as damaged.

Faulty sofa collected 25 days ago, I was told a refund would be 3-5 working days…. Still nothing! Endless phonecalls to head office and I am given a different excuse every time. £129 out of pocket. Do you think they are heading for closure/ administration? That’s why they are holding onto our money???

Got a settee delivered in December last year which by January had holes in the cushions. Arranged inspection and they said they would replace all cushions and reupholstered back which was coming away from the seam. 12 weeks later they had forgotten so eventually a new settee or refund was offered. As I didn't want to be without a settee for weeks I asked for new settee. Numerous delivery dates later I was promised it had been despatched. Still didn't receive the settee. 2 weeks later I was told it failed it's inspection, not sure if this was before or after it was despatched to me. Also advised that they no longer made this product so would have to accept a refund. So they've taken the settee and I'm sitting on garden furniture awaiting my refund. Unable to buy a new settee as I can't afford it without my refund. I've tried to call again. Should have known better as they are completely useless, impolite and really don't give a damn. They've told me I shall just have to wait. I've asked to make a complaint but they advised me I can't make one on the phone. I pointed out that their number was the number given on line to make complaint. Then advised that they have other customers waiting so they needed to terminate my call. They are so rude I don't know how they are getting away with it.

They don't accept returns without photographic evidence which is uploaded in a format some phones don't have... even if you can it's no guarantee you'll get a refund The delivery took 2 weeks My bamboo fencing I ordered was so cheap and see through and falling to bits! And the packaging!! My god ... The box would have housed an elephant 🐘 Very very bad customer service AVOID

Online service is diabolical, pretty much a rip off. Wallpaper order was taken but didn't arrive, eventually after hours on hold, customer services said my order had been cancelled. No notice, no phone call or email.and two weeks later still no refund .

Item received badly damaged, courier collected, confirmed receipt back into their warehouse, after numerous emails and calls they still won’t issue the £200 refund back to my account, unable to escalate or speak with anyone other than the same operator who just continues to tell me it will be refunded in 7 working days… fast approaching 30 days now and still nothing… worst online experience I have ever had… buyers beware!

Paid for express delivery and was not delivered! No explanation at all just the usual DHL attempted delivery when they clearly did not!!! Then the next day still no delivery shocker!! Couldn’t get anywhere with Robert on line at the Range so I decided to contact via phone 30 minutes later finally got to speak to someone I told them to cancel my order and issue me with a refund I will go elsewhere!! She then told me that they couldn't issue a refund straight away as they needed to wait for the items to be returned??? It would take a week for my refund??? What I didn’t even bloody receive any items! I asked to speak to a manager and apparently managers do not speak to customers??? They are too good to engage with us little people! The worst customer service ever! I know it’s company policy as she kept telling me but that doesn’t help my situation of having to wait for over a week to get a refund!! When I didn’t even receive my items?? I will never again order for the Range!

Be careful when using the range plus partner company , the customer service is unresponsive, no option to cancel your order until it’s too late . Says on the website that you can cancel before dispatch but that is not true 😣. The telephone number dosent give you an option to cancel on line orders and no one answers the phone anyway . The product I ordered was half the price on Amazon hence the reason I wanted to cancel . Which I’d read the reviews before ordering and looked elsewhere. Only when the order was dispatched did I get a response from customer services which by that time it was too late to cancel . Think this is a ploy to get you to keep the item Dreadful company which I will not be using again !!!!

I ordered a massage mat online which took 10 days to arrive. 2 days after receiving it when I had a chance to inspect it I called The Range to tell them I would like to return it and there was no paperwork or returns information in the box. I was advised the supplier was a Range Plus Partner and it was not possible to return it to a Range Store but they had informed the supplier and would get back to me. It is now almost 3 weeks later and despite numerous phone calls and emails to The Range Customer Service, they have still not provided me with any information that will allow me to return this. The only response I get is that they are waiting for a response from the supplier who are looking into this. I am left with a useless product, a huge box by my front door and no means of returning it. Worst customer service I have ever experienced and will not buy from The Range again. Their poor level of service and lack of consideration to their customers is unacceptable.

The Range Plus need to review their suppliers. Living and Home are disgraceful, having a faulty chair delivered, their customer service said that a 'hole' would not affect the use of the chair and that I could sew it up myself wasn't what I wanted as a response and two months later with a failed courier collection, I have finally received my refund..........NOT acceptable !!

This is 3rd time in the Portadown branch that when I have visited that the price marked for items on the shelf is not actually the price when you get to the till. This particular store is notorious for this as I know of others that this has happened to. Manager called, no apologies given and I am told that it is The Range head office policy to just offer 10% off!!! They don't follow retail rules and sell the item at the price advertised on the shelf. SHOPPERS BEWARE!

Wallpaper ordered has been " cancelled" no explanation, no email and so far no refund. Wish I'd read the reviews first. Thought they were a reputable company. The wallpaper I ordered is still listed as available . . looking like a scam.

Unfortunately I am adding to the long list of unhappy customers and all down to poor customer service. Bought a matching retro set kettle toaster microwave last December. The microwave did not work from day 1 and was returned to the shop. We received a replacement and everything fine until a few weeks ago when second microwave just stopped working. Took it back. Advised it is no longer stocked and our only option to take the shop display we did however I am convinced it was our original as it also didn't work. Back to the Range. We had to pay £14 for a grey one. Obviously I was now with a set not matching. We were told to take photos and complain on line. No response, then given a number which once through were told it was for online only and to go back to the shop. Now, I accept my problem seems trivial but it really annoys me when I am ignored, passed from pillar to post and having to keep driving and paying for parking for something that was not my fault. Ideally I would like to swap my cream toaster and kettle for grey. They won't allow me to do this as they are not faulty. I would really like a full cream set but accept we did stupidly take the grey microwave. Eventually I emailed the CEO who passed my email on to an escalation team. They are beyond dismissive. I have now been offered £14 the difference between the 2 microwaves. To buy a new kettle and toaster would be £65. If I had had the items for years I accept wear and tear would mean one might go before another however, its not been a year and we are on our 4th microwave so just because of the shear inconvenience you would expect a little compassion. They are pretty much saying tough luck. This company has zero customer service. They really do not care. Our shop is based in town with returns desk upstairs too so they make it as difficult as they can it seems. They really miss the basics, an apology, showing they care, trying to find a mutual solution, holding their hands up. However it seems that they have far too many problems to deal with and forget that people can and will go elsewhere. Go use other companies and avoid the Range for anything.

The assistant was extremely helpful however everything I wanted was from the range plus and would not be delivered to the Isle of Wight so I have spent my £800 elsewhere on the island where this wasn’t a problem for them to get it here without a huge charge

Paid £225 for a wardrobe that was delivered to my communal area rather than the flat number I provided and subsequently stolen. Haven't heard from them since I last emailed them a few days ago I am absolutely furious, this was a treat after a bad few months and I now have no money, no wardrobe and no communication. I will be going to the Ombudsman if this isn't rectified by tomorrow. Disgusting service

Warning to everybody who purchases an item on line from the range, DO NOT ORDER. Bought a rug 6 weeks ago, sent back as was not suitable and it has been over a month and still waiting for refund, everytime you call you are fobbed off, now seeking legal advice on the matter

Ordered 4 cushions which are not like the colour on the website, a lot darker. I have spent hours waiting for customer services to answer only to be told, when I did eventually get to speak to someone, that they would pass me to another department then nothing. I need to get in touch to arrange a collection but just don’t know how. I will definitely never buy from the Range again.

To whom it may concern, I placed an order on the 12th sept for two items, Florence ottoman storage bed for £250 and a three seater sofa. I paid £9.99 to have the items delivered on time within 10 working days. I received the sofa in 11 working days which is fine. However I received a email previously to this stating there is a delay and be rest assured the stock has been allocated to me. I never received the bed till date. Since the 19th September I had been contacting your customer service centre which are awful! I was cut off by majority of the team, all with foreign names, one being Mario. I was kept on hold for 20mins whilst he looked into the order only to be told the same thing of “ the warehouse have been informed and we will get back to you” nobody got back to me. Called again, only to be told the same thing. I then called after a week hoping I’d receive the bed, another two weeks had gone by still no bed. Called again, put on hold, the person returned back to the call but put his side of the line on silent for 22mins. I had to cut off and call back. I had a 1 year old child that needed attending to who was crying and getting frustrated. After I called again I was put to retention team. They said the warehouse have shifted the item to another warehouse and I will received the bed and also I would be compensated after I have received the item. Only just this weekend gone, I receive an email saying they don’t have the item!! This is the worst customer service I’ve experience, especially from a big branded company like yourself, I am very upset and frustrated. Absolutely appalling! So much of my time and emotions wasted chasing yourselves. I would like to be credited with a voucher for the experience and time wasted with RANGE!
