The live chat was VERY helpful. I was disappointed that my nephew, Logan Jadin, was not granted a 5% discount for referring me. I did not quite understand....something about he did not book through TourRadar. Regardless, Logan sent me your link and I booked due to Logan's referral. Thank you and I look forward to the tour.

I used Tourradar 4 times and 3/4 times things went sour with an escalation of failure to respond. I have written two other reviews, this will summarise and complete the picture: 1)Last October there were repeated attempts to overcharge my credit card for the Intrepid Lombok tour. That was avoided because I placed a restriction on my credit card. I do possess the records. 2)I was overcharged by 1500NZD for the South America Intrepid Tour. The credit card overcharge resulted in spending three consecutive mornings at ANZ branch in order to resolve it. 3) When I booked a 7,500 NZD South America Tour they did not bother to ask basic questions about options of the trip. Intrepid admitted in a private email (I can provide it) that they are indeed hopeless and that they should have paid for the Machu Picchu trek mixup (simply they did not book it and I was supposed to go by train!). It happened that Intrepid was able to accommodate me, but that was just lucky. 4)I booked an Amigo tour of Rio De Janeiro, and in fact, I had to find and communicate the details myself with Amigo Tours (e.g. where to get picked up etc.). This was a total failure to assist. In summary, this website is great for tour comparison. Given that they have hundreds of tours they have no idea what they are selling. Usually when you ask a question they copy and past from the trip notes. I guess this is what you get for an average 100NZD discount.

Our booking platform facilitates these conversations directly with tour companies, guaranteeing the quality of your experience. As we have previously clarified to you, at no point were you overcharged for your tour requests - as per standard industry procedure, when you make a last minute booking on a trip, full payment is required up front by the travel companies to request your place on the trip. We only ever pre-authorise your credit card for this amount and no charges are made until confirmation on your booking is received. We regret that you feel your experience was a negative one and trust that in future with our support we can better clarify these details for you to make your booking experience a more positive one. The tour and leaders were great but I can easily see the staff are under paid,. No tipping?? Come on.. this is obvious the owners making money while paying their employees nothing. I would never book with this company!

However, we vet our tour company partners very carefully to ensure they are delivering their services with integrity and work only with those companies who offer their staff fair and equal wages. they would take a long time to respond to my questions. then when they respond, they wouldn't answer all my questions. then the one's they did answer were not answered thoroughly.

As our team explained in our many discussions throughout your booking process, unfortunately your tour operator, G Adventures did not have two seats available for your particular tour departure. We can see that our agent Melissa did advise you of this as soon as we were made aware of the issue and we have done everything we can to re-accomodate you onto an alternative tour for a cheaper price. We're very sorry for this situation and as requested provided your full refund immediately due to these complications. From the moment I had sent an initial inquiry about a tour, subsequent correspondence; which was replied to and answered with details in a very timely manner, the professional, knowledge, and in my opinion transparency, I couldn't have been happier to complete my booking for Africa with TourRadar. Greatly appreciate working with Manny and the rest of the staff that assisted us regarding registration for a trip to Nepal....his colleagues were also helpful but again Manny was our "contact person" and his checking on things we had questions about before paying our money was very important to us and obviously helpful.

Don't know if I had a worse experience with a tour company even before it started :( . The Support Mail ID never bothered to reply when it came to cancellation request before tour was confirmed. Once the tour got confirmed, the amount has been deducted and are not willing to return it to me inspite of repeated attempts. They don't seem to understand their own cancellation policy. Would never recommend to anyone!!

We do check our inboxes regularly, however the direct booking conversation you have with your tour operator is where activity related to your booking occurs and as such, your operator will not have had access to your messages prior to confirming your booking. As a booking platform, we here at TourRadar do all that we can to assist our travellers, however as we can see from your booking conversation your tour was confirmed by the tour operator and as such the terms and conditions of cancellation do apply. We have requested the tour operator to waive this for you however unfortunately in this instance they advised it was not possible. Excellent personalized chat and support. Let's see how the actual tour is. I hope the sites, views and time to spend at each destination is adequate to enjoy the trip. I had almost set an adventure with a 4x4 SUV rental covering most of Iceland in 10 days but accommodation logistics was hard so we decided for this bus tour.
