I haven't ordered from UberEATS in years and decided to do so a few days ago. I didn't realize they had my Florida address saved until I ordered, so I immediately canceled my order as I was in a completely different State. UberEATS refused to refund me even though I ordered at 10:27 and canceled at 10:28 claiming that the Merchant had "accepted" my order (these orders are automated so the merchant always "accepts" the order). Further, my receipt claimed I would not receive a refund because the restaurant had "already started my order" when they would not have had time to glance at the screen to see my order. I finally got through to a customer service manager and he at first tried to blame me for canceling the order before contacting uberEATS (I find this ironic as I thought this to be a natural way in "contacting" uberEATS especially since they have no customer service phone number). He said he "couldn't do anything" since it was just passed 48 hours (this was when I realized the credit card was charged). When I pressed him on this point, he admitted that "once the merchant accepts the order, they "couldn't" do anything anyways. I don't think this is correct (i.e. how many of us have accidentally sent the amazon order to the wrong location - wouldn't it be ludicrous to be charged for it even if we were never to receive the package?). If this is uberEATS policy, it is an attempt to profit at mistakes made by customers who are simply trying to order food. Clearly they need managers with common sense and I simply don't believe that they are incapable of "canceling" an order that's been accepted within 60 seconds. This is clearly a bad business model in the long run, and I hope loss of future business from me and anyone else I can tell about this is worth the $23.10 they charged me.

If I could give a zero I certainly would. Driver took my order and did not move for 1 hour. I could not contact him. Customer support insisted me to wait for another hour until I could get the refund. That makes me think they tamper with my food.

Horrible customer service would pay me my money back and wouldn't deliver my food on time at all and end the chat without resolving my issues!

Awful services. Ordered food through their services and restaurant didn’t deliver on food. Neither Uber eats or restaurant is taking ownership on refunding money.

Ordered from chick filled thru uber eats. Sandwich, fries and drink. I never received the drink. Uber eats refuses to reimburse me. Numerous calls and chatting did nothing. Worst company

Hello, I placed order #3AEF1 with Uber Eats for 3 pizzas from Jet's pizza and cancelled the order within seconds of the order being placed. I was then informed that I was charged for the cancellation. I immediately reached out to Uber Eats support for a resolution as I should not have been charged for an order that had only been placed seconds before. I offered multiple solutions including being refunded for the order, receiving a credit for the amount charged as I would still like to place an order with Jet's, only for a different crust, or still having the order delivered. I reached out via chat support and 2 agents ghosted me after refusing to hear what had happened, only saying that the merchant had already received the order. This was clearly untrue as I did not receive a notification that the merchant had received the order until 20 minutes later while I was on hold with phone support. I believe that the phone support agent, Josh, who was extremely condescending and rude purposely pushed my order through 20 minutes after it was canceled so that I could not receive a resolution. He refused to allow me to speak with his manager, Josh and repeatedly spoke over me and insulted me. This is egregious conduct for a business. I have now been charged $72.50 with absolutely nothing to show for this charge: no refund, no credit, no pizza.

I placed a order for pizza and forgot to add some items I immediately canceled the order but was still charged a service fee by the restaurant I contacted Uber Eats to let them know what happened and was told it's nothing can do so I asked how do I delete my account and was told that someone would contact me so I figured it out myself and un-installed the app I know there was no way that the restaurant started my order that fast. Very poor customer service

Disgusting service, extremely late. Only 15 mins distance is covered in 1 hour. Kids wait for food and the process is always delayed. I ordered food from Ekta Indian cuisine and it arrived 1 hour late.

They can’t find delivery people they prolong the delivery time over and over and will not allow customers to cancel order and refund the money in full despite it being their fault that they took an order knowing they didn’t have any drivers in the area.

I'm not rating the restaurant or a delivery person I am a delivery person. There is no way to contact a customer service rep for any questions as of recently. You have to go on and do a live chat, and no one has been able to answer any of my questions. This is unacceptable there are things I need to know that this app cannot help me with there needs to be a live representative to be able to speak with people that are working for their company.

On February 26, 2025, I placed an order from The Boiling Crab through Uber Eats, and it was a complete waste of money. Not only was the food horrible and not fresh, but I was also overcharged! The shrimp was on sale for $17.99 each, and I ordered two, yet I was charged $34 twice—a blatant overcharge! When I reached out to The Boiling Crab, the manager, Nee, told me that since I ordered through Uber Eats, it was out of her hands. I spent $86.93 on food my family and I couldn’t even enjoy. When I requested a refund, all I got was the runaround! This is completely unacceptable. Uber Eats and The Boiling Crab, you should be ashamed of this poor service, lack of accountability, and shady business practices. I deserve a refund and expect better from companies that claim to value their customers!

Worse customer service. I order food for my sister in the hospital and left detailed instructions with her room number and which neuro nurse station to talk too. Food was left at the wrong building and wrong department at labor and delivery. Even the picture shows they left the food unattended. UberEats refused to give a refund because they had a picture it was delivered just sitting somewhere. I requested hand to me not leave at door.
