I worked or Uber eats as a driver. If you feel like you got scammed as a customer, trust me it's even worse as a driver. Their pay for delivery is atrocious. Example, they sent me on a delivery 28 miles out to the middle of nowhere and they, themselves, only paid me $4.02 to for it. That's not even enough to cover the gas to get back where I started. Which was already 30 mins away from where I started delivering that day. The GPS is garbage, sometimes not working at all, telling you to use a different app entirely to find your destination. When it does work it will often route you down the wrong roads, leading you to dead ends or into traffic jams, giving you no alternative routes. It also likes to take you on toll roads, forcing you to pay your own money to just make a delivery. The service desk is mainly an AI that does nothing more than to offer to cancel the delivery altogether for any problem you might have. Which hurts your rating. The rating system itself, is mainly based on delivery acceptance, delievery cancelations, speed of delivery, and customer satisfaction. If you don't try to accept every delivery that pops up, you get marked down. Even if you are currently trying to find a customer's house, which the pop blocks you from being able to see where the house is or even the address. If you cancel a delivery because it's been double booked, the store is closed, or any other reason, you get marked down. If you take too long on a delivery because of road closures, high traffic, or the GPS took you down the wrong street again, you get marked down. The app offers no incentives for people to leave a review so most if your customers won't, unless for some reason they are unhappy with the delivery for any reason which may not have to do with you at all. They are even able to claim that they never received the order even though there is a clear picture of the item on their door step. Uber will not stand by you. They send out reviews for drivers to fill out in app. And if you complain about the problems you've experienced at all, the staff they do have in house will respond by rejecting your driving and personal documents. Even though you've been driving with them for months. This is extremely petty. Overall this is one of the worst companies I have ever worked for, and trust me I've had a few bad jobs before. But I've also have had good jobs that can prove that this is not how it's supposed to work. If you need a little extra cash, do not subject yourself to working for Uber. It's not worth it. You'll have better luck and make more money working for Pizza Hut or something.

You need to be very careful while using the app because when you will pay for any order or ypu wanna cancel it for any reason or even within a minute they will never give your money back. All the prices are high from the stores

Terrible customer service and waited 30 mins to get on the phone. I placed and an order to a location that was near me but redirected it to a location that was nearly an hour away from me to pick up. They said they couldn’t do anything or compensate for the order because I did not want to pick it up. I truly wish I could give negative stars. Please don’t ever use uber eats use skip 100% better.

Wish I could give them zero stars. Almost 2 hours before my food was even on the way. Had to wait nearly 20 minutes for an agent to even answer the prompt to cancel my order. The process to cancel is lengthy and they tried to charge me to cancel until I protested vehemently. Nothing but foreign drivers who play games with your food.

First time ordering Uber Eats because it was cheaper, but I didn’t even get my order. I got a bag of trash delivered instead, and it wasn’t even in the bag I ordered from. None of the items I paid for were there. Never again I’m sticking with DoorDash

This was my first time ever using Uber Eats, and unfortunately it will probably be my last. I placed a $60 order and the food arrived completely ice cold, not even lukewarm. I reached out to Uber Eats support expecting a refund, a reorder, something to make it right. Instead, the only “resolution” they gave me was the option to leave a review for the driver—nothing else. No credit, no actual customer service, no accountability. Really disappointing experience for a first-time customer. For the prices they charge, the bare minimum should be delivering food that’s actually edible.

I ordered an 8pc Boneless Wings Combo from WingStreet through UberEATS and the Lemon Pepper fries were missing from my order. I filed two separate complaints through the app with a photo, but instead of a real response all I got was an email saying “Your first photo is in — here’s what happens next.” No one ever addressed the missing item and I still haven’t received a refund or credit. It honestly feels like I’m the only customer who can report a simple missing item twice, provide proof, and still be completely ignored.

I’ve never had a worse experience with Uber Eats. On November 9, I placed an order from Pura Vida Aventura, and within two minutes realized the address was wrong (my home instead of the Fort Lauderdale Convention Center). I cancelled immediately and placed a new order — yet Uber charged me twice: $257 and another $209 for the cancelled one that was never prepared or delivered. I contacted Uber support multiple times, and all I got was, “This is our policy, we can’t help you.” It’s completely unacceptable. A company this large shouldn’t hide behind “policy” to keep money for a service they never provided. I’ve lost trust in Uber Eats after this experience. If you value fairness and transparency — think twice before ordering.

I ordered from a restaurant the bread soggy and torn and half. Uber eats claims it doesn’t qualify for a refund, I could not eat the sandwich had to order food from somewhere else. Uber eats could have at least done partial refund for the inconvenience. I don’t have these issues when I use door dash. Only use uber eats because it was a little cheaper than door dash. Cheaper is not always better.

Waited over an hour for one item from the store, only to have it delivered to the wrong address, and customer service REFUSED to help at all. And when I called to ask where the delivery person sent it, they told me “look at the picture” and hung up on me and refused to answer calls after that. Even though customer support confirmed the picture sent to me wasn’t my address. And the rude ass delivery person got to keep my tip!! 😭

The staff at Uber Eats are literally stealing, and no one is stopping them. People, be aware! They were supposed to refund my money several times, but they never did. They said they gave me Uber Cash, but after a day or two, I checked and saw that they had taken the Uber Cash back. I ordered food in a very difficult situation so my child would have something to eat for two days. The driver who picked up my order was an hour and a half away from our home, even though I had ordered from a restaurant only ten minutes away. When I saw that the driver was an hour and a half away and my child was hungry, I had to cancel the order so I could reorder and have a closer driver pick it up. But as soon as I canceled, Uber charged me a $98 cancellation fee — the full cost of the meal! Nowhere else do they take the entire amount of the order as a cancellation fee. Uber has fallen into the hands of thieves and rude people

Two days in a row I put my order in before 8 AM. I scheduled my delivery for a window between 12 and 3 o’clock. Both days it kept pushing back the time after 3 o’clock and then it just canceled. I need my food I live in rural area. I don’t have a way to get to town to get to the store.

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience ordering from Uber Eats. I was charged $7.99 for a single red potato, even though the listing clearly shows $7.99 for 4.54 kg (an entire bag). When I contacted support, they refused to correct the overcharge, insisting that the order was “accurate.” This is completely unacceptable — it’s misleading, dishonest, and shows a total lack of accountability for false product listings. I provided a screenshot as proof, yet they ignored the obvious mistake. Be careful ordering groceries through Uber Eats — they’ll happily charge you for one potato at the price of a full bag and then refuse to fix it. It’s a shame a company this large doesn’t value customer integrity or fairness.

My order was delivered to the wrong house. The house where my order was delivered was the other side of town to where my house is. Uber Eats delivery person phoned and text me via the app asking me to confirm my address which I did but still delivered to the wrong house. This was my first order with them and will NEVER use them again. Someone will be happy to get 6 free tubs of Christmas chocolates. I'm not impressed with their none delivery. As the saying goes if you ever need anything doing do it yourself. What a let down of company / service you are uber eats 😡
